    The Despicable DeLay Rule

Yeah.. I'd prefer scandal-plagued politicians from my party to not have such affairs. There's a group of Democrats who really dislike Clinton. Sure, they also claim that he's part of the reason why the Democrats lost the House and Senate. But, it's not a total lovefest. Coming soon to Barnes and Noble: "Ronnie Earle - He's a bad man" by Thomas DeLay

    The Despicable DeLay Rule

Earle's partisan hackery has led to the indictments of 15 politicians, 4 of them being Republicans. Proving that Ronnie Earle is a big stinking Commie. Or just a Longhorn. Now if Ronnie Earle was only more like men with intregity, like Kenneth Starr. Then he could produce some partisan witchhunts that we could be proud of.

DAMAN~! is 'Santa, son of Satan'

Plot summary: I can't see this not ruling. But I have some stuff that I expect from this film. #1 - After Goldberg kills a person, he asks us "Who's next!?!" #2 - Santa flies over the city on his sleigh, fires on the people below #3 - At least 3 people die after Santaberg comes down the chimney of their house #4 - A sequel Any thoughts?

    The Despicable DeLay Rule

I'm sure the influence of Tom DeLay can be seen in representatives other than himself. But yeah, the rules change is a bad idea. Then again, some people will fall on their swords for the House Majority Leader. (when it comes to DeLay, at least he's on the record for wanting to withdraw the US from the UN. http://clerk.house.gov/evs/1997/roll163.xml )

CE didn't devote a topic to Rammstein's successful conquest of the Moon.. so why this?

    *throws down gauntlet*

I voted for Kerry. I made a joke post about being pro-Bush and pro-war (even going so far as to call the war a "humanitarian effort") that "earned the respect" of all the Bush lapdogs on this board (even getting PMs of congrats from some of them and links to mentally healthy sites like Log Cabin Republicans), so that's probably why he thinks that. I'm not typically one to join a cult, though. see.. this is why I can't get girls.. bad guessing powers. Or something.

Wait.. I think that i'm the only person on that panel who voted for Kerry. So yeah.. Who did Loss vote for? Loss could come on here soon to bitchslap me for this, but I'm suspecting he voted third party or Bush. Then again.. it is a secret ballot.

Is there too much censorship in the media?

Exit polling isn't too bad. But as a general rule, the raw data used from the polls should be posted. Preferably with some more data of exit poll results per precinct and the vote totals from the precinct and whatever else

Is there too much censorship in the media?

I could use this topic to advance my new idea of political ideas.. "Freedom v. Control" (to replace "Liberal v. Conservative").. but I won't.. still.. there's been a shift towards censorship and legislating and regulating morality is something doomed to failure.

feel free to prove that Care to guess who's bankrolling your favorite little blog? -=Mike hmmm.. I could have sworn I asked for proof but.. yeah.. rumors and innuendo rule, don't they? Why give proof when it'd be ignored. Soros bankrolls the liberal echo chamber like no other. -=Mike FreeRepublic.com is funded by the American Nazi Party, but I won't give you proof because it's so futile. Just admit it Mike.. you have no proof.

    Sorry Everybody

  18. Senator Kent Conrad (D-ND) noticed that there was a provision in a treasury bill that would allow for members of congress and their staffs to check individual income tax returns. It appears that not only are Democrats pissed. John McCain is pissed. And the Republicans blame it on a staffer. Senators are mad. CSPAN is a bit less boring. (apologies if the summary is a bit off)

Here's the entire bill: http://www.house.gov/rules/h4818billtext.htm Do what our representatives didn't

I hold the philosophy of 'if it's over 100 pages, you shouldn't hold a vote on it within 24 hours of it's printing' This passed the house at 4:04 EST by a 344-51 margin. Stuff like this doesn't just magically appear from a staffer. I might be overlooking some staffer's desire to allow the house to access our tax returns and all..

Congress could "create" some more jobs by getting people to at least go though the bills to check for this sort of crap. Is there any sort of rule about legislation in apprioriations bills? I think there could be one

Here's the provision which inspired the controversy

Until I find the exact provision, here's a Robert Byrd pic to satisfy you Byrd is speaking about against the process of putting out huge bills and voting on them within 24 hours

I'd have to find the language of this provision and considering the fact that there's like 400 pages or so on this.. it'll be hard. Just more proof that Congress is made up of those who can't figure out what they're passing and those who know what's being passed, because they're for it.
