  1. I've thought Sean Astin was a good actor since Rudy. I thought Elijah did a pretty good job too.
  2. What?? I love when fans in the theater react. It makes the experience so much better. Good...laugh at the jokes, applaud the action. Jason X was bad movie, but seeing it in a theater full of screaming insane fans made it worth the money because the atmosphere was great! And to answer the question above I had that feeling of closure for a day after watching it. First time I've been so satisfied with a movie in a long time.
  3. That's a great way to look at the ending. It helps explain a lot.
  4. Spoiler (Highlight to Read): I thought the scene was perfect. They needed a happy reunion scene and that's exactly how I would be after all that crap happened...estatic as can be. I had no problem with the ending other than the false finishes. It tied things up nicely
  5. Hey check this out: What not to do at ROTK (Contains spoilers)
  6. I've been meaning to ask...did the Orc Commander remind anyone else of Sloth from "The Goonies"???
  7. You're absolutely right. It annoys me to no end when people act like Sable and/or Lita aren't attractive. I doubt the people saying these things could do any better with the ladies. I'll act like Lita is unattractive because she is. She looks like a horse. But curiosity would get the better of me and I would atleast look at the pics once.
  8. They fade out a couple of times like it's over before coming back for more.
  9. I predict that ROTK will make more than Fellowship and Two Towers did. That's my prediction.
  10. Okay this has been bugging me....what episode is that clip of Angel backhanding the hell out of some guy from??? The one they used in the credits and some commercials. It's just such a cool clip.
  11. Let me also point out that in REAL history gunpowder was invented long before the gun was.
  12. This is a different world...don't overlay real history onto it. They may have discovered gun powder sooner and just because they have powder doesn't mean they have guns. It still takes someone inventing the gun for that to happen. I never had a problem suspending belief. If you wouldn't try to look at it as taking place in our world or our history then you wouldn't be moaning about freakin gun powder like it wasn't supposed to be invented yet!
  13. Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Yeah some people at my theater were laughing about Frodo kissing Sam's forehead. One guy called it "homoerotic." I almost decked him because it was a beautiful scene.
  14. That was the only part of the movie that people clapped. People at my theater were clapping a lot of times. They clapped: Spoiler (Highlight to Read): The girls clapped anytime Legolas did something cool and some guys clapped too. When Sam wounded and fought off Shelob When Merry and Eowyn took out the Witch King When Gollum fell into the lava with the ring When Sam went and got married! When Aragorn and the city bowed to the Hobbits And at the end. Yeah the theater I was in absolutely loved this film. At one point when Shelob reared up behind Frodo it was real quiet in the theater and some guy screamed and scared about half the people.
  15. PK could you write our match?
  16. Oh yeah...and it was cool. The only major things left out: Spoiler (Highlight to Read): The confrontation with Saruman and the Scouring of the Shire, Faramir and Eowyn's relationship (but I can guarantee it will be in the extended edition because at the end of the movie they were lookng at each other and smiling), The Houses of Healing (but that wasn't really necessary I guess), the mouth of Sauron didn't meet them at the gate, and they did leave part of the path of the dead out....Aragorn asked them to fight with him in the cave instead of on the mountain with the black rock. I didn't think that anything they left out was completely essential to making this movie and I bet some of that will be in the extended edition.
  17. One thing I was upset they left out: Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Ghan-buri-Ghan and the wildmen who helped the men of Rohan get past the forrest on their way to Minas Tirith, but that will probably be in the extended edition.
  18. Another thing about the ending: Spoiler (Highlight to Read): It's pretty long and drawn out in the book as well. In fact I'm glad they left out the Scouring of the Shire because if felt like overkill in the book to me.
  19. I thought she looked good. Especially: Spoiler (Highlight to Read): When Sam was fighting with her and she kept trying to sting him. Oh and to answer the question above I loved the beginning because it set up things nicely I thought.
  20. The ending wouldn't have felt so drawn out if: Spoiler (Highlight to Read): They didn't keep fading out like it was over!!! I hated that.
  21. Oh and let me just say that this one doesn't really need an extended edition. I thought it was perfect as is. Unless: Spoiler (Highlight to Read): They add in the "Voice of Saruman" part from the book on the Extended Edition, which was the only thing I wished they left in.
  22. Spoiler (Highlight to Read): I think Sam loved Frodo too much to do that, but then again he wasn't given much time to do that since Gollum conked him on the head.
  23. Oh don't get me wrong...I enjoyed the movie too, but I didn't think anyone was really calling for a prequel/sequel.
  24. I read the book, but I still think it's a great adaptation. I had my doubts in the first two films, but now I see why PJ did most of what he did. Spoiler (Highlight to Read): The scene where they overlayed Pippin singing, Denethor "eating" (if you can call it that) and Faramir being injured gave me chills. That was good stuff.
  25. I saw the Riddick preview too.......what the hell is that crap?? Did anyone really want a prequel to Pitch Black???
