The Great Hall of what could have been

Awesome busted out moves which were real damn memorable...like Sid in his NWA heyday, and Goldberg in his, he got over on his memorable offense. What about Low Ki? He had a few dark matches, and then disappeared. If they booked him not to speak as much, then Low Ki-Tajiri could have been the best fued of the year last year. Until we get Low Ki-Tajiri, our lives are not complete.
  2. As if needed an excuse to watch more wrestling on T.V...god I'm never gonna sleep! Well...there's always Raw to flip over to Oh well...ROH and CZW...if we get that over here, holy fuck am I gonna be happy.

What moves do you "MARK" out for...

The Van Daminator, and RVD when he hits the Van Terminator. Tajiri's kicks. The Beverly Brothers move Team Angle does. Super Styles Clash. Cradle Piledriver, especially in the days of the banned piledriver. 619 round the post. Los Guerreros cheating in a match. Bigelow when he countered the Tazmissions by falling backwards, and they fell through the ring. That was quality. Of course, the RVD suicide plancha into the crowd from ECW. And if it counts, any move that looks really brutal. If it looks like it connects, and it's a decent move, and it's sold right, I'll mark out.
  4. 1) Too true...although we'd all miss the snakeyes of doom. That we must admit. 2) He proved at Judgement Day with Jericho he can be a great talker, and against Mr America he proved he's past it. True. 3) Perfect fit for him. True. 4) Entire whole...no. I mean the writing behind Goldberg in the past few weeks has been good for him. It books him how he should be booked...as dominant, but not invulnerable. Los Guerreros...the F.B.I. 5)There's been enough neck injuries as there are. They should let certain people use it...those that can be trusted. Kurt Angle is not literally a God. AJ Styles knows his moveset would be halved if he joined the WWE, and he wouldn't be able to wrestle for CZW and ROH and other indies..not to mention he wouldn't be able to fight against trusted opponents like Lynn and Daniels. Some marks like Steph and HHH Some people think Benoit is boring. With Big Show booked right, he can main event and maybe should. Hell, his match against Lesnar was hella enjoyable, yet he won't get credit for it from guys who are not Dames or other reviewers, because he's 500 pounds. Benoit deserves a push because of his in ring skills. Depends on the cruiser. Kidman-maybe. Noble-maybe, to an extent. Rey-sure. Dragon-sure. Crash-No. Not so much. Now, we can all agree that the WWE should bring back Joel Gertner, surely?

The Raven vs. Tommy Dreamer Feud

The Raven vignettes made it. One of the most underrated promoers ever. And it was typical cutting-edge ECW. ECW or WCW wouldn't dream of doing a storyline like that on that scale at the time, which helped. Plus it must have been good, because they remembered to re-use it when Raven came back in 99, and they gave the two the Tag Belts. ShooterJay, I think the whole point of the Funk title run was a combination of the two you mentioned, plus the fact Funk was 'like a father' to Dreamer at the time, so it'd be the 'logical' choice. Like Rock allowing Hogan to take the title shot at Backlash kinda.

    Royal Rumble 1990

1)1992- Has to be the best Rumble ever, no doubt. It was all good, from the wrestlers in it, Heenan's pro-Flair commentary, the Savage-Roberts storyline, the Sid-Hogan storyline, the Piper-Flair storyline, the fact there were more than 4 guys who had a realistic chance of winning it...it just worked. 2)1990- Good stuff all round. If Perfect won the match, it may have been regarded nearly as high as 1992, although as a young kid at the time the whole Hgan celebration afterwards was as memorable as the Warrior-Hogan battle. 3)1994- I didn't like it at first, because I watched it right after the Taker/Yoko stuff, and was still in shock and disbelief. Again, booked well, the Bret storyline throughout the night, the Lex storyline with the Japanese guys... 4)1991- The whole show is underrated, what with the Slaughter title win and the Rockers/Express match. Martel's run was good, but Perfect should have won again which harmed it. 5)2001- Shocks and all...and HTM singing. Doesn't get much better than that. They booked it so it could have been one of 6 winning it, although most knew it would be Austin they mad an effort. The bit where Scotty walks out, and the BOD are in the ring is one of my favourite Rumble moments 6)2000- Decent Rumble and it had the star power. 7)1989- It had storylines with the DiBiase number change, Demolition as 1 and 2, Hogan/Savage...but towards the end it went downwards a bit, and I have no clue why BJS won it. 8)2003- The star power and roster split made it. Seeing Mysterio and Edge, Edge and Christian, The Hardyz and other clashes made it memorable. An enjoyable Rumble, if a little predictable. 9)1997- Run of the mill Rumble except the Hart/Austin incident which has been used in about 50% of all battle royals since. 10)2002- HHH/Austin made it for me. And Perfect's return, Angle's performance, the MavenKick and the double chokeslam attempt by Hurricane on HHH and Austin were good too. But RVD and Booker were under used. 11)1996- Meh. The in ring action was nothing special, but it wasn't too bad I guess. 12)1999- I liked it, but I was an Attitude mark. The Austin-McMahon story meant it had a reason(hell even Golga at number 3 had a point when he went after Austin), and I don't think anyone expected McMahon's win. That's a part of why people hate it IMO. Not a classic sure, but not the worst. 13)1993- Flair got chucked out way to early by Perfect, and Backlund's run was forgettable. Not enough star talent either. 14)1998- I just hated this one. I mean the whole thing just bored me until Austin came in, and even then it was nothing special by any means. And WAY too predictable too. You just knew Austin was winning. 15)1995- So rushed, no star power, and save for Michaels and Bulldog at the end it was totally forgettable. Bit of a letdown after Bret-Diesel as well. Never seen the 88 Rumble, so wouldn't know...but it was just a test run, like the 'Survivor Series matches' on 88 house shows, and the years of KOTR before it went to PPV.

    The Kliq is dead

You do realise he wasn't talking about the Clique (which is the proper name for the Michaels-Nash-HHH-Waltman-Hall-whoever group) don't you? "The Kliq" was a name Michaels made up to refer to his legions of fans, as sort of an insider rib so when he would say stuff like "The Kliq owns the WWF" all the net nerds would get their panties in a frenzy like you are doing now. *SWISH* Yeah anyway, it's already been said but Hogan isn't as selfish as the Clique is/ever was. I don't think Hogan was the only reason Bret and Steamboat never got the World Title while he was around. Vince was still heavy on the 'big men are good' policy until the steroids trial. Sure there was Savage, and to a lesser extent DiBiase. But I doubt it was all Hogan. Sure there was the whole Savage a champ thing, there was Yokozuna at WMIX, and there was Kidman. But Kidman was understandable, and hell he put over Lesnar and Angle big time last year. He put Rock and Edge over big the year before. Hell, I'm a Hogan fan...I'm bias I guess.

    New FBI members

Since when has Palumbo been Italian? And I was watching GAC 99 earlier, and well Tracy Smothers is just...just bad. Hell he used to dance in the F.B.I. We don't need that. Big Sal might be pretty good, if he was just in a non wrestling role. Tommy Rich too. Tony Mamaluke and Nunzio as a tag team again would rule. They should bring in Vito and have the Mamalukes again to boost the tag division too. Oh, and they need to come down to 'Stayin' Alive' or 'Amore' like they used to. Tazz is too busy building up to Tazz vs Sable...boy would I mark for a Dragon Tazzplex through a table on her! But hell, bring back Gertner. No real reason...just bring back Gertner.
  9. 2 $ signs is more likely to indicate Ted DiBiase Or Shane McMahon...
  10. A bit harsh....... OK, maybe not. He doesn't care about the fans, so I'm sure not going to give a shit about his roided up Rogaine drenched ass. Yeah, valid point, but why wish death? Why not wish bankruptsy on him? Because with death, he won't be able to pollute the wrestling business,. Wow, how kind hearted. Damn, the world should be glad you're not a councillor. "Oh man...my wife's cheated on me, and I feel like killing myself" "Well, maybe you should. I mean you couldn't give her what she wanted...at least with death, you won't pollute the dating system again. I don't know you, but you sicken me." I wouldn't wish death on anyone, I'm not that cold hearted and callous. Anyway, back on topic. If I wanted to laugh about a fake lie detector, I'd watch the Simpsons episode it's stolen from. Let's hope these Bashams can work, so they can get involved in the Tag Title scene, because it seems to have suddenly dissappeared. Looks a pretty bad show...

    Ah, fuck, he's back!

What's your point? Accidents happen in this business. Paul Orndorf hurt himself giving someone his finisher (piledriver) ...and he doesn't receive any flak for it. We'll see, but I think that Orton will be a big star. Especially since he is WWE grown. I just don't think it matters what move Orton was doing when the injury happened. It could've been any move, it just happened to take place during his finishing sequence. Owen Hart injured Austin pretty bad...and Owen still seems to be a 'smark darling.' I'm not going to tell you to "give him a chance" because you already addressed that. I just think that you prematurely stereotyped him...much like you did for Brock Lesnar. Of course, now you're singing a new tune for Mr. Lesnar, and time will tell if you do the same for Orton. Done. Yeah, but Mr Lesnar proved he has in ring pyschology and has gained a much better grasp of wrestlign in the past year. The way he gave Angle a great match without killing him went a long way, and he's improved his weak point, his mic skills. I don't mind Orton as a midcarder sure. And his finisher could provide an injury to the other guy if he isn't careful. Fact is, Skipper was experienced enough to use it right on his opponents. Orton isn't. He just needs time...and hell, he is only HHH's lackey. Hell, in a few years he might be a main eventer. Remember how that Rocky Miavia kid sucked until he got an edge.

    Yet to be made DVDs

probably not a good idea considering he was the first man eliminated in that match But the first elimination was after like 20 odd minutes. And you get to see Scorpio dropkick Jericho in mid Lionsault...

    Going to RAW tomorrow

Christian=Jarrett HHH=Hogan Goldberg=Goldberg This is the worst Nitro ever Worst...Episode...Ever Hey, remember when Rock worked here Is Bischoff still drunk? The real talent is on HEAT! We want Coachman! Playa Hater or Backs the Mack, depending on your Mack stance. And if you've got pals going, try starting up chants. I heard a 'We want D-Lo' chant during Backlash which ruled. Try and get some ECW chants started like 'You fucked up' or 'you suck dick' too... Oh, and when the 'We want tables' chant starts, wait until it's dieing down, and all start chanting 'We want Mable'. Works a treat.

    Hot Shit Wresting EWR Diary

    Best..Ending..EVER!
  16. Err...the match had a build-up. Crash and Shannon are part of the SUMMIT. Rey was gonna build up to a match with Matt, for the Cruiser Title probably at Vengeance. To say WWE doesn't know what to do with him because he was against them two is so stupid, it makes my brain hurt.

    Interactive Raw

If they're gonna imitate WCW, then bring out the WCW TOP TEN out of mothballs. That'll show us the rankings and we'll be able to notice who is on a streak, and so forth. Oh god. Back to the days of Michael Wall Street being the 'Number 7 contender to the World Championship'. There's been some ridiculous things in wrestling, this was one of them. Not just Wallstreet...the rankings. Almost as bad as when the US Champion was 'automatically the number one contender'. When was the last time you saw US vs HV Champion on the PPV's?

    HHH On Byte This Recap

Yeah, I'm a idiot for stereotyping smarks. And yeah, I agree on the whole '12 year old kids' thing being a cheap insult. There's been some cheap insults on this side too as well don't forget. But HHH just needs to be a little less childish aboutt his whole thing.
  20. King Cucaracha

    HHH On Byte This Recap

I know. But after he said his peice about us 'smarks', he let it go. He doesn't always complain about us, but we still know how he feels. Yet us smarks can't let our side of the arguement go against HHH. We all know we hate him, yet we're ok to continually bash him, yet he isn't allowed to give a comeback? He should let it go, but we don't have to because we watch the shows...right? So if HHH were to read the internet, surely he'd be entitled to an opinion...hmmm.

    HHH On Byte This Recap

Jericho and Angle sit in on booking meetings? DAMN THEM!!! DAMN THEM, THEY HAVE NO DAMN RIGHT!!! And it's true. How many of us have been in this industry, and really know what it's like out in the big wide world of wrestling?
  22. King Cucaracha

Lesnar and Heyman disagree on Angle's return...

I knew there was a reason I liked Heyman. Other than his on screen character, and commentary brilliance. Only trouble is, Face Angle=American cheap pops. Eventually people will go off Angle like they did before, so they'll turn him heel again. But Lesnar/Angle vs Rhyno/Benoit would be awesome, and would make sense. Lesnar and Angle were last seen shaking hands remember. Heyman was last seen being destroyed by Lesnar, and Angle didn't/couldn't help him. It all makes so much sense... So we all know which scenario will be approved don't we? And Team Angle don't have to be face, they just need to ditch Angle and become Team Benoit, Team Rhyno or Team Heyman as an FU to Angle.
  23. King Cucaracha

How did Heenan end up with the Horsemen

For Flair's 'Real World's Champion' gimmick to work, they needed the heel commentator to get behind him to build him up, and Heenan just happened to be a manager as well. Anderson and Blanchard as Deacon said needed the heat. Putting them with the Heenan Family was the perfect way to do it.
  24. King Cucaracha

    Theme to Gimmick

Taker's Rollin and Taker's American Bad Ass fitted him too. And lest we forget the Fabulous Rougeous "All Amercan Boys"! Rick Rude, The Warrior, Lex Luger. Sting's Seek And Destroy is one of my all time favourites, but the one he had before suited him a bit better. Also Rodney Mack's music sounds funny as hell. "Lie Cheat and Steal", the Hurricane's music, The Brood...there's loads of good ones. The worst- Might Molly's Hurricane version theme still makes me cringe when I hear it. Blackman and Albert when they used Too Cool's musics as Grandmaster/Scotty's partners. Stephanie's "All Grown Up Now" X-Factor's music just plain sucked. Cactus Jack using New York, New York for his ECW farewell speech. New Rockers using the Rockers theme. Heel Rockers with jumpy music didn't work.

    WWE talent pool

    Conclusion- It's HHH's fault.
