Bad feeling about the IC Battle Royal

I understand why and all, but a battle royal? Rather than a tournament...which would have given some meanignful singles matches on Raw. Eh, why am I complaining. We needed and wanted the IC Title back. Now we're getting it. And with the promise of RVD, Jericho, Christian, HBK being in with a shot. And NOW people moan. Jeez.
  2. That's what they used to do with In Your House remember? Like IYH 1, 2, 3 etc. They were cheaper until around about IYH 14. And that was when they got popular. If Vince were to lower the price, and build up the brand PPV's like IYH's, it might work e.g the big matches can be announced for Summerslam now, with the build up being spread over the brand only PPV. I'd get the brand only PPV's of course, but then again I don't have to pay for them(except 4) being in England. So I guess my opinion doesn't matter in the price side of this. But they have advantages like more talent, diversity of storylines, people like Richards and Christian with something to do other than carry on others' storylines. Err...16 PPV's a year isn't happening dude. It'd still be 12 a year...

    Week 42...Raven vs. Jarrett

Good stuff as ever... Where the hell did the Tag Division suddenly spring from though. A few weeks back the Tag Division was flagging, and this week we get a fourway tag, a great tag match with D-Lo/Styles as a team, and that's not including XXX and Red/Lynn. The Tag Division could be a major strength if they use it right. Anyway, great show even with the ending, and good review...

One and Only NWA:TNA Week 42 Thread

I don't care for ECW too much so that means nothing too me. NWATNA is a weekly PPV that people pay $10 to see- not a localised fed in Philly like ECW was for the first little while. ECW could afford to do that with its fanbase- NWATNA can't screw the fans over too much. I just have no motivation to see the match again. I saw it once and I don't think Raven v. Jarrett II would be all that different or that much better. For those unfamiliar, Dreamer-Raven was Tommy Dreamer's major feud I think after(?) Brian Lee. Anyway, the gimmick was that EVERY time Raven and Dreamer wrestled, Raven defeated Dreamer. Gradually the matches got that bit more even, more hotly contested. The fans were behind Dreamer the whole way, but whenever he looked like winning Raven would take it. Eventually, Raven did lose to Dreamer. The way they built it up not only made it such an effective feud, but made Dreamer's eventual win more special. As for this...Jarrett-Raven 2 is gonna need a stipulation on it if it does happen. Like Bob said, without it it wouldn't be that match different probably. It'll need something like a Cage Match, so Raven can win CLEANLY. Raven can do a stip match better than a normal match in most situations. And Raven has to win the next one, probably a rematch on the next Australian shown show. Because Raven can't play the Dreamer character.

    Vince vs Shane

Nope... I have a Feeling Shane is going to make Sproadic Apperences just for the hell of it... He IS a McMahon...Gotta have Air Time... Well if you saw the pre-match video, Shane was helping to train his dad for the match...so obviously he'd be worried about his father. And as far as this goes, if it's true then who cares? The McMahons are just another family, who will have rows sometimes. Big deal. I wouldn't be signing Vince's goodbye cards any time soon. Saying that, I think Shane'd be more in touch with the target audience than Vince or Steph. Plus he can work a spot match, and an entertaining one at that.

Tenacious Z, Honky Tonk, and WWA notes

So...looks like Jarrett's beating Raven, if he's gonna be involved in this match as 'NWA Champion'. Unless WWA's signed up Raven...which I doubt.

The One and Only Raw Thread for 4/28/03

If you watched Heat, you'd know it's his catchphrase. But then, if you watched Heat you'd probably be deathly bored out of your head, so hey... Anyway it seems a pretty ok Raw. I can't believe they're actually using a backstage angle for an on screen angle. Just like WCW. But hey, at least Goldberg can destory 3MW, and at least Stevie, Victoria, Christian and Jericho got T.V time. Bischoff fighting Trish...meh. Austin's return...meh. RVD/Kane vs HHH/Flair...meh. Seems like another 'meh' show. Nothing great, but nothing too offensive.

    WWE Backlash 2003 Hangout Report

Lmao, I'm gonna have to call him that too. Good stuff, enjoyed it...and I didn't think Cena-Lesnar was that high either, but it wasn't that bad.

Tenacious Z, Honky Tonk, and WWA notes

Well then again, they're advertising Bret Hart ont he show, and he hasn't signed yet...so, tells you something I guess.

    The wCw Belt

Incorrect, YNA. The Big Gold Belt that HHH has isn't even the same title that Bischoff awarded him months ago. It was redone and if you take a good look at it, the WWE logo is at the top of it. Dames Ah, that's why he had a new graphic for Backlash. The Title lost all it's credibility way before HHH was given it anyway. Russo, Arquette...Booker and Angle trading the belt so darn quickly during the InVasion. Jericho and HHH's WM feud.

Goldberg 1-0 --- The streak begins...

Sorry, thought that was what you implied, what with all the Goldberg hate around here. Funny how when Rock was face, he seemed to get booed (Summerslam, Wrestlemania X8) and the crowd hated him after SS. So they turn him heel, and he becomes liked. Rock's more popular as a heel than most of his face runs...lol. Rock's look is great right now. Good for a heel. And Trivia...who's Goldberg gonna face at Judgement Day. Cause you know damn well they're gonna get squashed. Everyone's saying Jericho, but then they said Jericho was gonna be the one to job at Backlash. Or Booker. Turns out to be the Golden Boy Big Kev. So, there ya go...

Goldberg 1-0 --- The streak begins...

Yeah, everybody remembers Rock getting booed at Summerslam, so he MUST suck. Favouritism alert

    Jerry Lynn Interview

At least he seems happier now than he obviously used to be. His mic skills are underrated. As a heel, he's cut decent stuff in ECW for a while, and one in the WWA at the expence of Eddie Guerrero. He wrestles as a face, but his promos are better as a heel.

    Backlash Live Observations

I'd venture to say The Rock is the best ever all round. Mic skills, in ring ability, workrate, look, selling, putting others over, ring mannerisms, crowd reaction and interaction and everything else taken into account. He's got more ring ability than an Austin or Hogan. Better selling and putting others over than Taker...that includes all of his many years. Better look than Mankind. Better mic skills than a Randy Savage. He's got a bit more in all of these areas than Shawn Michaels. Bret Hart and Ric Flair. Out of the best, he is the best.

    Rey injured??

Fuck Big Show...fuck him for doing what he was told to do...how fucking dare he! He should have DELIBERATLY gone against the script, cause god knows we all love Goldberg for chaning his storyline around. That was one of the sickest thing I have ever seen on a wrestling show...it just didn't look real. Scary shit. A good way to put TBS over. I don't like Big Show as number one contender either, I'm not saying I do. But what choice did he have. Fuck Vince/Steph for thinking this up sure. But Big Show was doing his job. What was he supposed to do, swing him slowly. Jeez...get well soon Rey.

The One and Only WWE Backlash 2003 Thread

I dunno where to start on that one. K, Rock-Goldberg(**3/4-***) is gonna be a spectacle. A Hogan-Rock type spectacle. If the crowd are as hot as expected, this'll be pretty damn good. Brock-Cena(**-**1/2) won't be too great for a World Title Match. They're still both pretty unexperienced, but hopefully Cena puts in a great performance. Team Angle-Guerreros(**-**** depending on time) depends on the time given. Eddie and Chavo are two guys who can carry Team Angle to a great match, and it should work if they get the time. Trish-Jazz(*1/2-**) At least Teddy Long gets on PPV. Let's hope he gets some mic time, and maybe even commentary. I could do with a laugh during the show. If it's the same match they usually put on, it'll be good. They've both shown they deserve the time...and helped make the Women's Title respectable again. RVD/Kane-Dudleyz(*-*1/2) is yet ANOTHER Dudleyz Tag Title shot. Greeeaaat. If it had No DQ's then maybe it'd be better...not looking forward to it. Y2J/HHH/Flair-HBK/Nash/Book(*1/2) better than most expect. Hopefully HHH will job to Book. Not because I HHHate him, but because it's the thing to do. Mysterio-Show(3/4*) gonna be an anti-squash match probably. If Rey does go over. Although with Show's possibly upcoming title shot...it's more doubtful. O'Haire vs Rikishi(*) O'Haire wins to give him a push, because Rikishi is big and beating him makes you look good...apparantly. It'll be mediocre IMO. Nothing too offensive, just...meh.

    When J.R & Austin return

I can see JR, Austin and the A.P.A. Numerous skits of JR trying to look like a bad ass drinking, smoking poker player to fit in with his buddies. JR and Austin winning the World Tag Titles...you heard it hear first. A BuhBuh vs D-Von feud for Bad Blood is in the works. But eventually, it'll probably be Austin, D-Von, Kane and JR vs Bischoff, Morley, BuhBuh and RVD. Oh joy.

    Going to RAW

"Backlash-did I miss anything?" "When's Backlash" "When's Starrcade this year" "WWE=WCW 2003" "Raw-off the hizzum for shizzum playa!" "We want Stevie" "Goldberg-Who's Next" and "Triple H-Who's left" "This is gay..gay...gay...gah..gay..ah...gay-reat!" (Goldust tourette's type sign) "Who's gettin' fired tonight" "Fire Jerry" "We want Schiavone" "Austin sold me my hot dog" "When it gets to Rock Concert 5, you're repeating yourself" "Goldberg And, to get one over on the sign guys who'll no doubt take your best, most offensive signs... "We want T&A" And take a stick on 'N' so when you get past the sign guys, stick the N over the & to make... "We want TNA" If you like TNA that is.
  19. In the future, HHH and Stephanies kids will look like this. The future of pro-wrestling is safe! The scary thing is, that's a pretty accurate prediction...

    E-Wrestling/Fantasy Wrestling

If I had more time I'd try and join SWF cause it looks pretty cool. Well, very cool. I'm in/have been in a load of different roleplay basede-feds. A big real wrestler, a smaller real wrestler and a small created wrestler. Plus there's RFI, as you'll see in my sig. Which is basically fantasy booking on a bigger scale. http://corporate-champion.com/mainpage.htm XWF's the top real wrestler one, and there's some pretty damn awesome RPers there. Sabu and Goldust w/Bill Alfonso as a sort of Rock N' Sock style tag team there for now. http://www.angelfire.com/extreme4/xpwrestling/ XPW, smaller real wrestler. Pretty cool, some good RPers, some not so good. There's a range for every rank of RPer. I'm World Champ as Edge, with Christian. Just an excuse to RP as E&C I guess...lol. Not the best feds ever, but hey it's only a bit of fun huh?

    Jericho to Goldberg

In other words, he's unhappy the internet keeps bringing stuff like this up so quickly I guess. Oh, and I forgot Bobby 'Crumb-Dumb' Jr and the time he called Hogan 'Granpa'.
  22. King Cucaracha

    Jericho to Goldberg

'Mr Roboto' Dean-o Machino, Stinko Malenko Harold Finkel Scamrock Trash Stratus Mr T(Booker) And of course, he called Juvi 'Hoot an' toot Guerrera' once. There was also this Japanese guy with a typically hard to pronounce Japanese name, so he called him 'Shinja Rammalammadingdong' or something. Jericho was truly god in WCW

    N'ayez Pas Peur

Dupree looks pretty good...ok, considering the mood o this thread so far, I'll rephrase that. He looks a decent wrestler. He could be one for the future according to most on the inside. Decent enough talker, decent enough wrestler... Grenier...those vignettes, Dupree has got it perfect as the laid back French heel. I dunno what it is, but something about they way Grenier says his lines just makes me think 1) He's not a great talker, 2) He's trying too hard to be a better talker e.g putting too much emphasise in and 3) Damn he's annoying. His accent if anyone saw the post NWO Smackdown, is like Martel. And his accent annoyed me. Oh well. They could be a pretty decent tag team if they don't use it as an excuse for cheap heat/cheap USA chants, which I fear they are doing. It's a cheap stereotype gimmick, but somehow I'm waiting for them to go to a sandwich bar as part of a vignette, grab one of the sandwiches and start shouting 'You call zis a baguette?' before pasting the sandwich vendor.

    Overrated in OVW

Pants, as in underwear, for all you Americans. Probably. Cena's character is perfect seeing as he can actually freestyle, and he's a pretty decent wrestler. Team Angle are doing good and developing well. Rico owns, but there ya go...he's been booked badly recently. Orton's ok. Batista...I don't mind him that much, but he hasn't been impressive. I Back the Mack. 3MW aren't anything special. Hell Rosey sucks. He's one of the few wrestlers I truly hate. O'Haire came up from OVW. But then, so did Big Show, Henry and Bradshaw. But the best so far from OVW so far is probably Victoria. They gave her a good character, good storyline, a better than usual for women storyline. And she's got a lot of talent. And is hot. What more can you ask?
