It was actually about half that. I have him being part of the November 18th card at the Spectrum and, after that, the Survivor Series on the 23rd. -

Maybe because those matches were featured on commercial releases? I can't think of any reason other than that. The only one of the bunch I don't already have an original copy of is Starrcade 85 with Tully / Magnum. I can understand them not featuring Flair / Race since that will be on the Flair DVD. But aside from that, Wargames, and the matches already featured on Bloodbath, what's left in regards to the NWA from this time period? I really can't think of much pre-90.

Back problems, that's why he lost the casket match at the 94 Rumble. Had Taker been 100% around that time, we probably would have ended up with the Luger / Borga main event for Mania after Taker dropped the title to Ludvig. I believe Taker has worn a backbrace for much of his WWF/E career, at least up until the biker persona.

Best Buy had it for $22 and change. Looks very good so far. The actual show is 2hrs and the extras are split between the 2 discs. I'm loving the buildup segments that some of the matches get. It adds a whole new dimension to the matches when you better understand the rivalry.
-
I think that was Sid's last major singles match before starting his tag team with the 1-2-3 Kid.
-
I remember that. I believe it aired on the WWF Superstars epsiode right before the PPV. The lights are down, making the ring pretty dark, and it's just Owen talking to the camera.

1st ever Hogan/Flair, Ahmed slams Yoko, RVD/Rock
cawthon777 replied to cawthon777's topic in The WWE Folder
Whether it be clean or not, RVD pinned every top star - Austin, Rock, Taker, Kane, Jericho, Angle, etc - within the first four months of making his debut. Some he even beat repeatedly. I'd say that was strong booking. -

I don't buy the Bret contract issue. He renewed right after the 92 Rumble. His contract status played a part in the Mountie winning the IC title.

Thanks for the help, guys -
Okay, you obviously will battle anything I say but here's my two cents worth anyway. Whether or not the Warlord was on roids or not, his release was imminent. He was facing nothing but jobbers when 1992 began. Warrior and Bulldog were let go because they were caught with roids overseas? When, at Summer Slam? So they continued to work for three more months, were pushed to the sky, and then Vince got those results back and kicked them both out - fucking up the main event of Survivor Series at the very last minute? Yeah, that's a smart move. Warrior vs. Flair was planned as a possible main event for the Royal Rumble, with Warrior going over. As for the other topic, it is WWF-specific and it makes little sense to split up each day into two seperate forums. And for the record, you're the only one that cares. Speaking of posting in inappropriate forums, if you want to flame me - there's another place to do that.

Whoa ... what was that? Dude, chill out. I don't remember taking any shots at you. I was trying to help you out. Warlord was let go because he was worthless. I don't buy that Sid was fired over steroids. Warrior left over contract problems ... had that not occured he would have beaten Flair for the title. Bulldog might have been let go over drugs, I don't know.
