Relax now, at least this wasn't a "2004" thread. Although I must say that I don't hate Clay Aiken, at least he's not as annoying as the other pop stars, and he seems like a regular guy. Couple that with the fact that he does have a great voice, and I don't see the reason to hate on him. I haven't actually heard any of his stuff on the radio or anything though, which makes me wonder how he gets as popular as he does.

I don't see the big deal with this at all. It's badass, I imagine him stunnering some folks who ask him nicely with all this legal jargon to take off the robe. I haven't watched wrestling in a long time obviously, when Austin is the only hero that comes to mind.

I'm curious about the way Judo is played in the olympics. Is it strictly based on throws leading to points, or do they allow submissions too? Did anyone listen to PPH34 rant? Fair enough, but I didn't mention who would win if they played each other because they wouldn't, unless they both managed to get rid of the Colts, Steelers, AND the Patriots, which I doubt. I never saw the big deal about Homefield advantage, in any sport, but even in football. The only two things I see changing are: 1) Fans disrupting opposing teams playcalling with noise, and that's a minimal factor at best. 2) Weather, but in NY it would be just as cold as Buffalo. He's just the most inconsistent fighter I've ever seen I think, he should have beat up Sakuraba. Yes, I said BEAT UP. It's ridiculous how much potential he has, and how if he just became a monster (IRONY!~) that he would not only win a lot more but also be a lot more exciting. Some of the best wrestling this side of Mark Coleman, really good hands, tremendous power and athlete in general, the list goes on. He's getting up there in age though, but he doesn't look it. He needs a different team. That's the only thing I can say. The thing is if he loses, it's a lot worse then you make it out to be, but if he wins, it's much bigger then you make it out to be. If he loses then his first fight really was just a fluke (and it was considered as such, seeing how Mirko was still treated like a top Heavyweight and Randleman lost to Waterman). As a result his stock as a heavy falls and he's pretty much done in terms of being a threat. If he does well or even wins, his stock rises dramatically as he shows it was no fluke and he becomes a CREDIBLE heavyweight threat. I'll put it this way; while MMAweekly isn't exactly Gospel when it comes to MMA rankings, when he beat Cro Cop I don't even remember him placing in the top ten, or even having people pick him to make it past the second round. Mirko was still in the top five though and people still thought that he would face Fyodor eventually for the Title. It was like Kevin was just a blip on the radar, so to speak.

They don't deserve to be there? How so? Because they've won all the games they were suppose to win? With the defense they have, and the type of offense they run, I doubt they'll get smacked. Are they on the same level as the Pats, Colts or Steelers? No. The Chargers you could make an argument for, but they are hot lately and the Jets are not. They haven't looked impressive in their wins, and they've looked bad in losses, so I figure they'll be out of the playoffs in the first round, most likely in a blowout of some kind if they happen to draw the Colts, but a close affair if they get the Chargers. Either way, done in the first round. Well, considering they've won 3 out of 4, I wouldn't say they are cold either. It's really funny that you mention that they've looked bad in loses, when all 3 of their loses have come at a touchdown or less. Pretty bad, eh? Plus, Pennington hadn't played for 3 games. He comes back, and they win by 22. Also, the Patriots are probably the worst best looking team in the NFL when it comes to blowing out teams left and right (recently they have been doing that, but for the most part of their streak, they've won close games). So I don't get this logic that you seem to have with the Jets winning games ugly. A win is a win. You are bound to have those types of wins when you run the ball like hell, and run the west coast offense. I don't think they'll be out in the first round. Maybe against the Colts, but I feel we can score on them pretty easily. After all they might as well have cardboard cutouts out there. Our defense is getting better each and every game. 6 shutouts in the 2nd half is pretty good if you ask me. Against the Chargers I like our chances. We beat them earlier this year, I don't see why not now. Their win streak is going to end sometime; who knows if they start to look bad against the Jets. Anyway, what team do you root for? Is it the Bills or something? A bad loss is when you have the game won and the other team comes back and whoops the shit out of you. When the Bills were starting Travis Henry and just fucking up in general during their 0-4 start the Jets took it till the last play of the game to win by two. I actually like Chad Pennington, My Favourite Martin and I'm probably one of the few on the board that likes Herm(Why all the hate? Good coach). But they're clearly a second tier team in the AFC, with the Steelers, Colts and Pats at the top. I would place them below San Diego, even though they beat them at the beginning of the season, but SD is clearly a different team, and one of the hottest in the NFL. The Jets simply haven't beaten anyone impressive all year, save for Week Two. Don't worry, they'll have their chance against Pittsburgh and NE again, but they'll lose them both, probably drop one to either St. Louis or Seattle (both of whom are playing horrible, but still better then most of the weaker teams the Jets have beaten). Hence my reasoning as to why they will probably go 10-6, which isn't exactly far fetched and I don't know why you had such issue with what I said. Unless you honestly believe they will beat either Pittsburgh or New England, which is what I guess you disagree with. I'll tell you this much, they win EITHER of those games, I will take back EVERYTHING I said about them being a lower tier team and out of the first round in the playoffs. Yes I am a Bills fan, but I still believe that the Jets are better of course, I'm not delusional, but they're not much better, and were they both to make it to the playoffs, the Bills would probably be the hotter team.

EDIT: Nevermind. If Randleman loses, where does he go from here? If he wins, do we just ignore his loss to H2O man and catapult him up to the top again? If he wins this fight, he's back for good I think, he just needs a better team to train with to avoid those submissions. If he loses, well I don't know then. Werdum vs. Ogawa is a fight that I'm interested in seeing, out of morbid curiousity. I wanna see Ogawa get tested on the ground. That was pretty lame how he just gave up his arm to Fyodor in that fight, probably because he didn't want to get pounded. A judo silver medallist shouldn't be submitted that easily, but whatever. Werdum should do a number on him.

Crazy Train is horrible for the most part, except for that opening riff. It's almost like a new shitty song takes place. That Amy Lee song with Seether comes to mind, as well as Eminem's Just Lose It, although it doesn't surprise that most in here would hate that song.
