Man, can you imagine a Khali/Giant Gonzalez match? The first one to sell properly loses.
-
Awww man the Highlanders got the jobber entrance? That sucks, I like their theme. And now they get fed to Khali. Man, it's heel night. Except for the cheating faces.
-
What, are the heels winning all the secondary belts so the faces can chase up to Wrestlemania?
-
RVD the JTTS. Blah.

Jesus Christ I just threw up in my mouth a little. And the face down pose wasn't much better.

Is it my TV, or does it sound like Ross and King are talking through tin cans and some string?

I want it because I'm a big Halo fan and I actually enjoy collecting the Halo stuff. You should see a part of my wall, covered in Halo 2 figures. Thats the reason why I want it. Personnally I think the LE of Halo 3 is mainly for the die-hard fans of Halo. I preordered the LE. I'm a Halo fan (although not terribly good at multiplayer. Did beat them on Legendary difficulty though) and love the books that help flesh out the timeline. Plus I'm a sucker for "Special Editions" and the like.

Check out rightstuf.com pretty soon. They're clearing out the warehouse apparently. A ton of stuff is on sale. For instance, (although it's not for me) they've got the ENTIRE Cardcaptor Sakura box set (18 discs) on sale. Suggested retail price- $539.82, sale price- $79.99. Just an example.

Kennedy should do all the talking for this team. Edit: I'll be generous and let Edge be Kennedy's straight man.

Wow. I thought last week was the most rediculous "look how racist the South is" episode. I was wrong. Ludicrous doesn't even begin to describe it. Absolutely rediculous. I've lived in the South my whole life and I've travelled all over Texas and I've never seen anything even close to what was represented on this show the past two weeks.

Eh, I got picked in the drawing to be in the beta. I'll have to wait for a paycheck or two.

This Saskue dude could laugh at Solid Snake and get away with it. Like the messages said, he looks like a live-action Prince of Persia.

I don't really thing so. It;s really, really, really, really, really good. Absolutely mindblowing. One of the only movies to make me sob like a bitch, and thank the movie for it. Rumor has it DreamWorks is going to remake it. Tom Hanks is in discussions for the lead. Hollywood sucks. Too late. Bah and humbug. THAT was a great movie. THIS sounds like yet another in a bad series of Hollywoodized remakes.

Geez you're right. I just scanned the list and the names I mentioned popped out at me, but the other ones are prolific as well. I wonder what the dub budget is? They've gotta be some of the more expensive voice actors on the market. I might have to watch some of these (Naruto, Bleach, etc.). For some reason I've been drawn to the romantic/comedy types (Love Hina, Ah My Goddess). Quite the opposite of my normal TV and movie habits. I don't know why. Although to be honest, the new TV version of Ah My Goddess is a gorgeous example of computer graphics instead of hand drawn cels. The dub is nice to. And since ADV is taking over for Media Blasters, I'm hoping the DVD set for season 2 is even better. ADV does a good job of packing in the extras whenever possible.

Crackdown's ads are still saying the 20th. The demo was real fun (the graphics looked better than I thought they would) but I don't think I'll be able to get it. Maybe next month after my paycheck.

Is it just me or do the same 4 or 5 voice actors do seemingly EVERY English translation? Bridget Hoffman's everywhere, Johnny Yong Bosch is getting there, and I've seen Kari Walhgren on several animes. I'm not saying it's a bad thing (Hoffman always does good work and Bosch was real good as Vash), just something I've noticed.

Smackdown Spoilers twelve days before No Way Out

Did I miss something? Daivari vs. Helms? Did anyone play face or was it straight heel vs. heel? Or did they turn Helms when I wasn't looking? -
Well, for me tonight was the first "clunker" of the series. It was almost like they went, "Wow, we haven't done a 'Racism in the South' episode yet! Better fix that!" and threw this one together. The reporters were horrendous caricatures of muckrakers who were looking for an angle and found it with Mac, who seems to be someone who's out of touch with today's world but has managed to hold on to his job by keeping quiet. Did Mac say some dumbass things? Hell yeah he did. Was it racist? Marginally. He suggested that black people TEND to be more athletic then white people. Mac complimented Smash by comparing his to a "junkyard dog" (tenacious, never say die), and the reporter took it out of context and forced in the racial issue. Whre Mac went REAL wrong was appear to agree with the reporter when she said that HE said that whites were smarter than blacks. He did not clarify his position. Now, is Mac racist? I'd say he has tendencies towards it, but no more than Michael Irvin suggesting that Tony Romo had to have black ancestry because he could run. After that, it all began the inevitable downhill rush. Waverly (who annoyed the shit out of me this episode) starts stirring shit up at every opportunity then dropping the race card on everything like she was a female Jessie Jackson and starts pressuring Smash to "stand up for his race" when all he wanted to do was keep doing his thing and let it all blow over (not necessarily the best decision, but it seemed like a reasonable one to me). I especially enjoyed how she claimed that a black person saying something racist against whites is totally different from when a white person says something racist against blacks. Then, when his family gets turned down for a loan (wow, so have I, can I claim racism?) Smash gets upset (again, a reasonable response). His mother's reaction? Claim that EVERYONE in the bank is racist. As if someone shouting at the top of their lungs wouldn't draw attention. Then, out of his own sense of wounded pride and self-interest, then and only then does Smash decide to "rally the troops". It all just rang hollow to me. I did enjoy the powderpuff scenes and Landry's return to the screen (his talks with Coach and Matt, the touchdown signal in Riggins' face). So it wasn't a total loss. I'm just tired of the "South is racist" mindset that seems to permeate the media's portrayal of anything south of the Mason Dixon line and east of the Rockies.

Boy, Illinois had a helluva signing class. Must have been that sparkling 2 win season last year. Why did I see the words "Blue Chips 2 starring Nick Nolte as Ron Zook" flashing in my head when I saw their class ranking?
-
Rumor has it that it's John Amaeche. Unsubstantiated, but it's just what I heard.
-
Lashley's sitting backstage asking why he isn't out there.
-
Edge is taking lessons from Tom Cruise? Man, that was a reach.
-
Would that lead to a Carlito/Snitsky heel team where they cheat like hell to win then deny any wrongdoing?

Fixed. I don't have you pegged as a criminal, just someone that will bury decades of unhappiness in bourbon. My taste for booze is vastly overshadowed by my desire to punch my coworkers in the face. Oh, it'll happen. Some day, it'll happen. You sound like a natural for the postal service. On the other hand, this thread makes me feel better about my own life (or lack thereof). So thanks for that I guess.
