  1. Ahhh Shelton man, you're killing my ears. He's acting like English is his third or fourth language.
  2. Weeeeeelllllllllll. Since my 2nd round target is gone *shakes fist yet again at MrRant* I'm going to go with the BPA that fills a need. That means defense, since there are still plenty of good OLs available later on in the draft. I'm a bit torn between two players, but I'm going to go with: Jason Allen, DB, University of Tennessee A bit of a risk due to his injury, but everyone says he's completely healed. If that's true, he's a first round talent. Plus, given the Texans' overwhelming mediocrity in the defensive backfield, he can step in and get playing time at either CB or safety.
  3. Damn you MrRant, damn you! *shakes fist angrily*
  4. Or it could be an indication that Hurley's right (he HAS in fact seen Libby somewhere else) and it's all a hallucination by Hurley. I bet that would piss off a lot of people.
  5. I'm good for a second round. Even a third if you want. Might as well do the whole first day, and I'll get to make back to back picks in the third.
  6. Welcome to Chicago "supersmark" fans. They'll boo anything just to seem "smart" or "edgy". Kinda like ECW fans on emotional steroids. Unfortunately we don't have Brian Pillman around to laugh and chant "Smart Mark!" at them. Unless Chris Jericho is debuting. Then they'll mark like little girls too.
  7. I will admit it I'm shocked. I stand up and applaud HHH for taking the fall in the match. I didn't think there was a chance in hell he was losing that match.
  8. Cena comparing himself to the mob now? WHAT....THE....FUCK?!?!?!?!
  9. I'm waiting for him to start shouting "Huss!" at people. Maybe he'll throw Cena over the top rope and get a countout win.
  10. That small amount of time in Tron world!? Dammit, that was a lot of the reason why I WANTED the game! *grumbles bitterly*
  11. Commisioner Tagliabue strolls up to the podium, obviously in a good mood. It's his last draft, and it's almost time for him to ride off into the sunset. "Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the 2006 NFL amateur player draft. The Houston Texans have the first selection, and are now on the clock." Gary Kubiak, eschewing the traditional War Room, practically runs the card up to the stage. Tags takes the card and heads back to the podium. "With the first selection, the Houston Texans select: Reggie Bush, RB, University of Southern California." No one is surprised, but a cheer still arises out of the gallery. Kubiak adresses the media to discuss the pick and says, "This was really a no brainer. After USC's pro day (4.33 forty, 24 on the bench, 40 inch vertical) we knew the Reggie had the right mix of speed, stength, and athleticism needed to be a special player in the league. With an offense featuring Reggie, Domanick Davis, Andre Johnson, Eric Moulds, and Jeb Putzier, we feel that David Carr has been given the weapons necessary to succeed in the NFL."
  12. Yeah, everyone shot well tonight now that it's probably too late to make any difference.
  13. Apparently a Philly station (610 AM up there I think it was) is reporting that the Texans and Moulds have agreed to a contract, and all that needs to be worked out is what Buffalo gets out of it. I'm not sure how much is, "NFL sources say" and how much is "Yo, my sistah's friend's parole officer heard" so call it uncomfirmed for now.
  14. Careful throwing around the term "everyone" Jack. I'm perfectly happy taking Bush, Ferguson, Mario, or Hawk before Young. I don't see him being "a bigger Vick" or whatever other comparison someone wants to throw on him. Talented? Definitely. Ready to contribute in a meaningful way? Nope, he'll probably need at least 2 season to pick up the nuances of being an NFL quarterback.
  15. I'm doing as many of the sidequests as I can before I do the main quest. A lot of finding stuff, a little fighting. Done most of the mage and Dark Brotherhood quests, still got the thief and fighter quests to go.
  16. Actually, a local news reporter (and one who's actually been right quite often before everyone else) said that it was basically a done deal with Moulds to the Texans. Another one said that it might take another couple of days while they hammered out a new contract. I'm not sure if it's true or not, but I guess it goes to show that everyone has different takes on the situation. Edit: And now the local newspaper says that there hasn't been any change. Of course, the newspaper hack sucks anyway. He spends more time on the Cowboys than the Texans.
  17. Either 2nd or 3rd is fine. I have both days off. 2nd might actually be a bit better if I get a reminder that that's the starting day, since I'll be worried about getting ready for Opening Day (go Astros!, or something) on the 3rd.
  18. They'd just sit him out. Hey, the contract only says Burleson has to play more than 5 games in Minnesota, not the rest of the team. PS Texans sign Sam Cowart to a one year, $1.5 million dollar deal. Looks like he could be a filler until someone steps up or we draft a MLB (I'd think about D'Qwell Jackson at the top of the 2nd if available).
  19. Old fuckers. *notices he's been here almost 4 years, dies a little more inside*
  20. Nice. I see they haven't rolled back the impressive bloodletting and over the top kills.
  21. Yeah, there is that. Not really an impressive run for CC so far. Although he did manage to turn a 6th (Drew Henson) into a 3rd! Which he probably blew on a QB we didn't need (I'm looking at you Mr. Ragone).
  22. Assuming he's healthy, I'm taking that deal if I'm Casserly. The OL can wait until the 3rd round. I'm pretty sure there's some talent that will fall that far (Bryan Colledge, maybe even Jonathan Scott)
  23. We'll start when I'M DAMN WELL GOOD AND READY! *laughs maniacally at having the 1st pick in the draft* Ehhh.... 9ish sounds good to me.
  24. So uhhh, anyone picked it up yet? Any impressions? I've gotta leave early for work and pick mine up on Thursday, since my Gamestop didn't get their shipment in until after I was at work. Any thoughta at all on it? Bueller? Frye?
  25. That was actually a fairly intelligent pin. Not a great match, but at this point I'll take it.
