The OAO Mystery Science Theater 3000 Thread

Beast of Yucca Flats: "This movie stops at nothing...and stays there." -
Should've checked my words before I posted them, the hosts said "western cities."
-
Anyone else hear the rumor that the NHL has already selected two new expansion cities on the west coast? Apparently, it was mentioned on the Primetime Sports radio show. The hosts believe the two cities are Kansas City and Las Vegas, they also mentioned that Winnipeg was rejected. Here is a link to the show, the comment is made at around the 16:45 mark.

Mike and Mike at the spelling bee.
-
I wouldn't be surprised to see Vince McMahon get involved in this, perhaps as a owner.
-
This should start getting interesting soon.
-
THAT was a very lucky bounce for Ottawa.
-
Anyone know when the new jerseys are set to debut?
-
ESPN said I could trade Brevin Knight, Othella Harrington, and Sean May for Kobe Bryant. Don't think that will happen.
-
"He Hate Me" finally has a home to return to. It'll be interesting to see how they put this all together in a little over a year.
-
If he has another season where he plays less than half the season, maybe I'll be ready to give up on him. However, Okafor is too good to give up on after a season where he only missed 15 games. Sean May as well, even though I hated that pick when they made it.
-
Problem with that is they will have to give away one of the 3 Gerald Wallace/Felton/Okafor. Wallace is the most likely choice, but he's a free agent so only a Sign and trade works. Plus they would have to throw another high priced contract to get the contracts to match. I doubt they would part with either Felton or Okafor, but Wallace makes sense. Bryant would essentially replace the role that Wallace plays in Charlotte. Don't know where the other high-priced contract would come from, perhaps Brevin Knight since Felton has already replaced him. Other possibilites to be traded are Primoz Brezec, Othella Harrington, and Jake Voskuhl.
-
He would be treated as a God in Charlotte. They have two first-round picks to deal, the lowest team salary in the NBA, and he would be able to play under Michael Jordan. With the other pieces the Bobcats have put into place over the past couple of years, Kobe Bryant would instantly make them a contender in the Eastern conference.

The OAO Mystery Science Theater 3000 Thread
JustJoe2k5 replied to DMann2003's topic in Television & Film
http://www.filmcrewonline.com/index.html Just a little over a month away from the first release by the Film Crew. Thought I would bump this thread. Watched "Invasion of the Neptune Men" yesterday and that movie may be one of the worst they have ever riffed. The kids' voices, Thomas the alien spaceship, the Hitler building, "have you guys seen my record?", and what should have been the climax of the movie was essentially ten seconds of dialogue followed by fifteen minutes of stock footage. -
After a week of "LeBron James isn't Michael Jordan" talk all over ESPN television and radio, they just showed a video on Sportscenter which flashed between pictures of LeBron James and Michael Jordan to hype the Cavaliers/Pistons game tonight.

Just imagine a show with the GHC, ROH and NWA World Titles defended on the same show. It's very much possible if Danielson or even Albright takes the title. The NWA would be smart to take this opportunity to establish a relationship with Ring of Honor. Get the NWA title on a RoH pay-per-view, that'll help both companies in the casual fan's eyes.

Indeed it was, Vengeance included a very entertaining Billy Kidman and Rey Mysterio vs. World's Greatest Tag Team match that showed wrestling can get over with the WWE audience if done right. The crowd was electric at the nearfall towards the end of the match, too bad the two teams didn't have more pay-per-view encounters.

I have had that sitting on my shelf since Christmas and haven't gotten around to it. That's disappointing, but how I felt with the Horseman DVD. I was so excited for it, but just felt like my intelligence was being insulted most the disc. Arn Anderson was justifying their "legit crime" of beating Dusty Rhodes in the parking lot. Agreed, I wish they could have all been on the same page. Arn Anderson seemed to be in-character for his interview, while Ric Flair clearly wasn't and had alot to say about Eric Bischoff, Hulk Hogan, and Jim Herd. I liked his line that if the Four Horsemen had been in the WWF in the 80s, Hulk Hogan would've been a curtain-jerker.

The OAO Raw for May 21st Thread

Without the hostile crowd, I would be worried about the talent giving less than their best. December to Dismember comes to mind. -
Question About "When Worlds Collide" PPV
JustJoe2k5 replied to zappafrank's topic in General Wrestling
I think match was shown in full, without the haircuting Just checked real quick and it seemed to be the complete match on Eddie's DVD. Perhaps they edited it because of Octagon's injury? They showed him on the screen quite a few times throughout the third fall and when there was action in the ring they had a little block in the corner of the screen with him as well. Don't know what else could have caused it. -
Wow...those are fantastic.

That Jericho video led me to this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P39b7v1wzfg More Warrior insanity.

cool moment ruined by spoilers for me. anyhow it was actually set up on Sunday Night Heat the night before when The Acolytes were beat up by Kane (i think) and one of them was tombstoned I think on the ring steps, so they came into the Hardys match banged up and the youngsters took advantage when they lost the handicap match and the belts at Fully Loaded, they dumped Hayes for losing the match and joined the New Brood with Gangrel (Ironic considering it was Hayes feud with the original brood that made him bring in the Hardys) Yeah, they actually taped the Sunday Night Heat with that segment at the same show. Funny to see one of the Acolytes out cold on the steel steps and a few minutes later in the back talking about how sore his neck is. Right, remember when SNH was taped like 2 week sahead of time due to the fact that RAW aired live one week, then was taped the next day for the next monday Yeah, taping schedules back in the day were confusing. Ross Report would always have the spoilers, which kind of ruined the whole week for hardcore fans.
