Yeah, if you want to succeed at the next level and not piss off every main-eventer in the company.

AMW, Abyss, Samoa Joe, Daniels, Styles are a few quick examples of non WWF castoffs who've won titles in TNA, except for Abyss. Not everybody can be champ, and certainly not all at once. Won titles isn't the same as allowing them to shine and get the spotlight - most of them play second fiddle to Jarrett & the Ex-WWE guys If it wasn't for TNA, would you have ever heard of guys like Abyss or America's Most Wanted? Would you be able to see guys like A.J. Styles, Christopher Daniels, and Samoa Joe on a weekly basis? Maybe Jeff Jarrett is in the main event picture a little too much, but TNA actually attempts to push new talent. What do you think WWE would've done with A.J. Styles? I doubt he ever would have made it off of Velocity. I would like to see the list of "ex-WWE guys" that other talent plays second fiddle to. Kevin Nash? He is in the X-Division and hardly a focus of the show. Scott Steiner? He may be currently involved in TNA's best feud, so it is hard to say that he doesn't deserve his spot on the roster. Who else?
-
He has a point. If TNA wasn't a factor, WWE wouldn't look to screw TNA at every opportunity. Force Michael Shane to change his name? Kip James can't be called Outlaw? WWE has TNA on their mind alot more than they'll ever tell anyone.

TNA has done a great job of building up to Slammiversary. I actually know most of the card heading into the event without looking at the actual card on a website, which is more than I can say for any WWE events.
-
Should be a decent show.

Throughout most of the playoffs, I thought I would be Rod Brind'Amour. Now, I honestly think Cam Ward has the edge. I just hope the Hurricanes are able to close out the series in game six.
-
I think he is a little overrated by some people around the independent scene, but he is a great talent. Some people think he could be the face of the new ECW, but I don't see it. He is a talented wrestler, he is great on the mic, but I don't know if he is the type of talent that could carry a major promotion.
-
They definitely need to stick to smaller venues. ECW isn't the type of promotion that "works" in a large arena.
-
I think it'll be fun. Hopefully they'll start to debut some of the new talent tonight.
-
Yeah, I believe that video was posted in the "Comments which don't warrant a thread" thread. It's great, especially Christopher Daniels because his sudden outburst of charisma is so unexpected.

Great game, maybe the best of the series. Both teams played great. Edmonton's goalie has been unbelievable these past two games.

OAO Raw Thread- 12 June 2006

Of course not, because people around here liked Brock Lesnar and Eddie Guerrero alot more than John Cena and Rob Van Dam. What the guys around here think is right, IS RIGHT. -
It's a good thing we have someone who's the authority on what's sad or not in Ric Flair's life... It would be sad in anyone's life. You have two grown sons and neither one is your best man?
-
It's a little sad that Triple H is the guy standing right beside Ric Flair instead of one or both of his sons.
-
Yeah, Raven kind of held out on his contract. That left TNA to fill a void at the top of the card very quickly and Glen Gilberti was the guy they chose. Luckily, they realized their mistake and he was out of the main event picture after a month. It should also be remembered that Raven would not tell TNA if he would re-sign with the company, which was the biggest factor in why he didn't win the World title from Jeff Jarrett. TNA was worried that he wouldn't re-sign and possibly desecrate the title belt in another promotion.

I think this was more of a bump in the road than a turning point. Carolina took the best Edmonton had and still only lost by one questionable goal. Edmonton's goalie can't stand on his head forever and Carolina won't continue to miss the wide-open chances, I think Carolina still takes the Cup.

The music certainly adds a little to certain wrestlers, but I just don't like the fact that some people say the fans will completely shit on Sandman because he lost his theme music. They certainly proved tonight that there is more to Sandman than just the music.
-
The music is probably a bit petty, but it means a lot to me. I mean, what good is Sandman without Enter Sandman? He's completely useless. You want to tell that to the crowd? They seemed to go crazy for him more tonight than they ever did when "Enter Sandman" was his theme song. That last part has to be a joke. He didn't get half a big of a pop as he did last year at ONS. The theme music MAKES HIS CHARACHTER what it is. That "pop" was simply the crowd singing along to the music. What were they supposed to do with his new music? If you looked at their actions, they were still jacked to see him and ALOT more crazier than they were last year. I disagree. I think the response tonight was medicore at best as far as the Sandman goes, but that has as much to do with the stupid segment he was put in than anything else. 99% of the sound for Sandman's entrance is the crowd singing "Enter Sandman". You take away "Enter Sandman" and you are going to lose alot of the sound, but the support from the crowd is still there in a major way. Sandman always struggles to make his way from the crowd to the ring, but the crowd was especially excited to see him tonight. You honestly believe that the crowd wasn't excited to see him?

No, ECW fans understand what The Sandman meant to the company they worship. They won't abandon him just because he has different theme music. Probably not, but that's not in dispute, what's in dispute is the ridiculous They seemed to go crazy for him more tonight than they ever did when "Enter Sandman" was his theme song. line. When have you seen them crazier for his entrance? And don't point out when they sing along to his theme music, because that's just idiotic. When? Just about every other time he's entered the ring in an ECW. That's a great argument. Too bad your completely wrong.

Show me where you'll see matches like Rey Mysterio vs. Sabu or Edge and Mick Foley vs. Terry Funk and Tommy Dreamer on other WWE shows. WWE did a great job in letting each performer play to their strengths and I think they ended up with a great all-around pay-per-view.

You've got to love how Triple H no-sells the lionsault and immediately gets up to chase Earl Hebner. I wish someone would do that to the pedigree, maybe Charlie Haas can since he'll be fired anyway.
