Crap, last I checked I was still waiting for Flagg to go, like, yesterday. Well, anyway, I was going to pick up on the "awesome guest star" theme of this round, but then Flagg reminded me of a pick I'd been meaning to make due to his pick of a recurring character who's been on the show forever and has yet to be given an actual real name. So, my sixth pick is... Old Jewish Man "The Old Grey Mare, she ain't what she used to be/ain't what she used to be/ain't what she used to be..."

The first time I heard "Dolphins Cry" I seriously thought it was like a novelty joke song or something. I'm still astonished to think that they were being serious with that.
-
I'm surprised that I'm the first person to mention MVP's theme. It's absolutely perfect for him and the ticking clock sound effect at the very start is really great.
-
See, I was thinking of a TV Character draft in general the other day, though the problem with that might be that it'd be so deep in scope that it could get overlong and also it wouldn't quite have the same charm this one does where eventually it's everyone sniping one-shot characters. Also, oh man, I forgot about Gabbo entirely. That episode was fantastic.

God, I somehow blinked and missed Darryl's strut and I'm going to have to seek it out on Hulu tomorrow. Ryan's utter mortification when he realized that all he did was shove himself right back into his trainwreck relationship with Kelly (by far my favorite relationship in the series) with no upside to it was absolute gold.

I correct my previous statement; zero people from RonL's list that I might want. Blast it all.
-
-- yeah, it was timed poorly because then posts went up in between. The same last-minute thought process as Spike leading to the drafting of a Simpson family pet. Though, actually, I too got tired of the overquoting/playing/singing of the Spiderpig theme, but that's another story.
-
... see, pretty much the exact same thing happened to me, except with a different Simpson family pet. As such, my fifth draft pick is... Santa's Little Helper
-
Hahaha, if Hibbert were still there by the time my next pick rolled around I was going to pick him just because wow, he's like one of the last major-ish recurring characters left at this point.
-
"He's a good guy. I like 'im, I got nothin' against 'im. But I'm definitely gonna make orphans of his children." "You know, they do have a mother, Champ." "Yes, but I imagine she would die of grief." And now, welcome back into decent society, the heavyweight champion of the world, Mr. Armageddon... Drederick Tatum!
-
I was planning that all along... RonL's picks are offically up for grabs. ... wow was my timing atrocious. EDIT: ... though actually, looking at his list there's only one or two people I might want.
-
"And now to kill you. There may be a slight ringing in your ears. Fortunately, you'll be nowhere near them." Cecil's another guy who I had been thinking of drafting for a long time, so while I'm disappointed I didn't get him, he's a great pick for sure.
-
For my fifth and final director... Wes Anderson And, with Wes Anderson comes the obvious next step of drafting... Owen Wilson
-
That just happened to me with Snake; he wasn't my next draft pick but he was very much on the shortlist and I would have picked him up after my next one were he still available by then.
-
And this, kids, is why you always use the quote function before it's too late and you look like a raving lunatic. When will I learn?
-
You mean Rando and not Scroby, right?
-
Lyle Lanley holy shit, this draft is getting more epic by the pick.
-
"Kids, turn off the TV, I have some bad news about Lenny!" "Oh, no! Not Lenny!"
-
Well, two ("Business School" and also "Branch Wars"), but same difference, he's certainly not around enough for that to be the case.
-
Edna Krabappel "She's faking it."
-
Hahaha, Moleman was on my shortlist too. I almost went with him last round but I opted to go with Jasper instead.
-
"Talkin' out of turn... that's a paddlin'. Lookin' out the window.... that's a paddlin'. Starin' at my sandals.... that's a paddlin'. Paddlin' the school canoe... oh, you'd better believe that's a paddlin'." Jasper
-
... and my third string pick. Ow.
-
... and there goes my second-string pick too. I expected Ned to go, though, I'm almost surprised he wasn't picked in the first round.
