They will not win the casual fan back until they start giving the people what they want. And even then, it's not a guarantee.
That's the simple answer to this thread.
It's so weird.
They're really setting the stage for Van Dam winning this thing -- between Show threatening to keep HHH from a win by all means, Van Dam saying he needs this to preserve his legacy since the other two already have their names remembered -- but they're going in entirely the opposite way.
Bizarre.
So is this another match they've fucked up for WrestleMania?
Built up a feud between Trish and Mickie for several months....and now they senselessly put Candice -- a person who has shown ZERO wrestling ability whatsoever -- in the Women's Title match at WrestleMania 22.
No joke, WrestleMania 22 may be one of the most illogical shows they've ever done.
Triple H and Kurt Angle had possibly the hottest feud of 2000, sending Angle into the Main Event much quicker than he probably would have been there otherwise.
Who cares if they had a great match or not? That rivalry made Angle's career. At this point, I have no problems with them putting that one #2.
I wonder if that stoned kid who got excited for Bret Hart coming back at Backlash a few years ago was jumping around the house when he saw the Hall of Fame announcement.
According to wwe.com, they released Bob Orton today.
They should have at least gotten Randy to RKO him at some point and say "It's because I'm a legend killer and you're a legend and blah, blah, blah".
I always hate when people say shit like "I'm just here to enjoy the ride", especially in a scenario like this.
If a wrestling match consisting of Triple H and John Cena is your idea of an enjoyable ride, you're better off getting hit by a train to see if that's any more thrilling.
