  1. I just don't understand the love for corn-on-the-cob. It takes too much effort to eat, always gets stuck in your teeth, isn't a filling side dish whatsoever....and maybe it's my taste buds, but I just don't think it tastes all that great. And how anybody could vote for baked beans over macaroni and cheese is beyond me as well, but I'll save that for another post.

  3. Besides the fact that the guy with the foil hat up there looks like NoCalMike, I'm afraid I'm not sure what the direction was.
  4. Yeah because Democrats came up with the idea of the Clintons having all their political enemies murdered.

    DECLASSIFIED: Hi

Did somebody change the password here? Because I tried to use this account earlier and I wasn't able to.
  6. Then we'll never get the Home Improvement reunion special. I just can't do that.

    Vegas

Deon says when you go to Vegas, you should avoid gambling, drinking, and women.
  8. You know, I've picked Tim Allen the past three years. I know the year I don't, he's going to kick it. He's due to have a John Ritter type of death. I just know it.
  9. Taken from cnn.com along with a lot of other blah-blah stuff I didn't want to copy and paste because it's all shit we already know. That is such a mistake. This race has gone on so long that it's to the point that the two of them NEED to be on the same ticket, whether it's Obama/Clinton or Clinton/Obama. Supporters of both sides have become so involved in their candidate that they're going to be very bitter if they get shut out of the presidential election. Sure, they might not vote McCain -- but many of them just won't vote at all. And that will be fatal to the Democratic party. The party is split in half at this point and the only way to unite it is to put Clinton and Obama on the same ticket for November. McCain is facing some hostility in the Republican party himself but they never let the race get to the point where the voters truly started bickering with one another with an intensity like this. More or less, the party is united behind McCain, even if pundits like Ann Coulter still don't support him. Once the general election hits, if the Democratic party is divided, they WILL NOT win. Pelosi needs to think this through before she continues to open her big mouth. The best thing for Clinton AND Obama now is to strike some kind of backroom deal where both of them will end up on the ticket. And yes, yes, it's too difficult because with his lead, Obama should be the presidential candidate and Hillary should be the vice-president, which she clearly doesn't want to agree to. But a resolution HAS to be reached. It's become way too messy now to simply leave one of them out in the cold, considering neither will reach the 2,025 delegate mark.

    The Eliminator

When we do Gang Warz 3, Czech needs to be a captain. Just to see his head explode from trying to actually make it work.

    The Eliminator

Gang Warz was excellent. Gang Warz 2 on the other hand....not so much. But that only means we're due to bounce back once Gang Warz 3 rolls around.
  12. Great episode. I really liked it. And Ben's going to be the one thing that keeps Desmond and Penny from their fairy-tale ending.
  13. That was a cold death for Alex.
  14. And Sosa comes in and gives up three runs on three hits and a walk. This is depressing. You're not supposed to get routed by the Washington Nationals.
  15. So we're not even a month into the season, and Sosa has already given up two grand slams and Heilman has given up one. This is like 2007: Part II for the Mets. But hey, at least we added Matt Wise.
  16. Dandy, this gimmick isn't working too well. I say scratch it and start over.

    Wii

Guys, I don't care whether he calls it the W ! ! or the Nintendo or whatever, and neither should you. Drop it. And while I was working at Circuit City, I saw firsthand how many customers would buy the Wii without any games or any accessories. They would look at you with confusion when you asked them if they were purchasing any games and they'd go "Uh, it comes with a game." You'd explain it's essentially a sports demo disc and they'd say "No, that's all I will need for months." In hindsight, packaging that sports game with the console might have cost Nintendo a lot of money in sales because people really feel they do not need to buy any games to accompany it.
  18. Quality thread.
  19. Yeah, because it's not like Ohio turned out to be a Republican swing state in 2004 or anything. And it's pretty obvious that if Florida had a full primary, Hillary would come out with that one too, earning her normal support from the huge populations of elderly and women. And once again pbone, as we all know, Florida was ANOTHER swing state in 2004 as well. And 2000. Hillary also won Texas against Obama -- although the whole caucus thing turned the delegate situation into a muddled mess -- but odds are McCain will take that state against either of them. It's a worrisome sign that Obama is losing to her in the big states. Granted, he would likely come away with the wins in New York and California against McCain anyway since they're overwhelmingly democratic, but Florida....Ohio....Pennsylvania....if he's losing to her in those states, there's a chance he could lose against McCain too. They've been on the fence for years when it comes to presidential elections, and it's telling that he's not garnering enough votes to beat a candidate that has been, for all intents and purposes, dead in the water time and time again.
  20. According to CNN, with 90% of precincts reporting, she now has a 10 point lead over Obama. I mean, in the end, it probably won't amount to anything in regards to her, but it's still a good victory and an indication she is in control against Obama when it comes to the big electoral college states.
  21. It's not a matter of simply "giving him a shot." It's a matter of the bullpen becoming completely vulnerable if you remove Joba -- you can't trust Farnsworth and Hawkins to pick up the slack. Furthermore, to just suddenly place Joba into a starting spot when it's supposed to be a gradual process that lets him improve his stamina is just asking for trouble. And as someone said earlier, if people think he's going to continue throwing unhittable 100 mph+ fastballs by the time we reach the fourth or fifth inning, they have another thing coming. Besides the logistics of it, Hank's comments are completely classless. Way to call your General Manager and the Manager you JUST hired "idiots" for not agreeing with you on this stance. I have a feeling Hank is going to be even WORSE than George because it seems, with his comments, he feels he has an outspoken family reputation he needs to live up to.
  22. Do you agree with Hank Steinbrenner then on the Joba situation? Cause me, I think Precious Roy is 100% right.
  23. Yeah Deon, that's a dumb suggestion. This is the Raw thread -- it's not a movie thread. Everybody gets to see Raw at the same time, more or less, so spoiler tags are not required. In movie threads, people see the film at different points, so tags ARE required. Don't come into the thread if you don't want to find out what happens.
  24. Okay, I'm not getting the Hill-Rod thing. Was that supposed to be like Hot Rod? Because if so, that doesn't even SOUND good, not to mention she's about fifteen years late with the reference. If she was going to pander like that, she might as well just called herself Hillswoggle.
  25. Now see, fried calamari -- that's a main dish.
