There are three specific eras that I always mark for.
NWA/WCW 87-91. This was the time I first got into wrestling. I was 4 when I started watching with my new stepdad. Great times. All of the Horesmen/Rhodes/Sting/Luger/Steamboat/Road Warriors/Stieners stuff from this time is great.
WWF 89-93. I started watching alot of WWF around this time, and the stuff was just so epic in my mind. Warrior/Hogan, Savage/Hogan, Zues, The Barber Shop, Earthquake squashing Damien, all sorts of insanse shit that's solid gold to 8 year old.
WCW/WWF 96-98 The Monday Night Wars. I had quit watching wrestling for a couple of years, besides catching a match here and there. I'm flipping through the channels and see Monday Nitro. It's like one week before Bash at the Beach, and I see Hogan and decide to check it out. The next week I come back and they show Hogan turning heel to join Hall and Nash. I'm hooked, end of story.
A few months later and it suddenly becomes cool to be a wrestling fan. One of my buddies at school tell me about Stone Cold Steve Austin. I'm like, no way is Stunning Steve as cool as this guy says. I was wrong. I tune in to Raw, and see craziness ensue.
