You just don't have a clue, do you?

The Rockers wrestled the RNR Express in 1988 in the Memphis area. The Rockers were heels. There's a thread about it on the wrestling classics board. Get your facts straight next time please!

Not really.

Great movie. I saw it in a theater in Cambridge and was thoroughly moved and entertained. I can't wait to buy the DVD (and the ROGER & ME DVD which is available now).

Short lived TV shows no one seems to remember

Anyone remember Manimal? Automan? Phoenix? that Battlestar Galactica spin-off (sort of a next generation deal when they came to Earth)? -

I remember this episode. It was a two-parter. They got away with it in the first part but things came crashing down in the second part. And this show did also star "Steve" from Married With Children. -
commentary? whoo hoo? whatever.

Four way tie.

Awesome tapes (all from the 80's when I'd rent ANY Coliseum tape): the first Macho Man tape The Hart Foundation Inside The Steel Cage Most Unusual Matches Even More Unusual Matches Awesome skit: Bobby Heenan and Gene Okerlund playing golf. Bobby's cracking jokes and cheating at every turn. Great stuff!

I like there match at Survivor Series 92 (Hell I like all their matches) but I don't think it compares. Michaels didn't hit his stride until 94-97.
-
Otherwise no one would have bought the thing.
-
Possible "others": Avalanche, Maxx Payne, the Equalizer, Bunkhouse Buck, etc.

gotta love stupidity...... My post was actually FREAKIN' HILARIOUS. Nothing short of brilliant.

I vote for either Ricky Steamboat, Lou Thesz, Bret Hart, or Ric Flair.

JUST POSTING THE RESULTS THAT WERE POSTED ELSEWHERE: The WFA show was a lot of fun; just a really good show! The building was close to sold out and the crowd was LOUD! Here are the results: 1) Eddie Edwards pinned Brandon Locke with a rollup after some solid high-flying action. 2) Bob Evans & KL Murphy vs. Brian Fury & Ray Somebody was next. Ray Somebody got taken out, leaving Fury alone again Evans & Murphy. The beating continued until the lights went out and the music hit. “D” rushed in to be Fury’s partner! When he finally got the tag, he destroyed Evans & Murphy! “D” and Fury were victorious to a huge reaction! 3) “The Graduate” Tim McNeany pinned Jason Sullivan in short order. 4) Nikki Rox and some other chick vs. Ms. Peters and some other schoolgirl chick was next. 5) Justin Shaype pinned Eddie Edwards. 6) Cruiserweight Four-Way – Big Matty K vs. Scott Reed vs. Stevan Prince vs. Allen Star (who’s a member of Justin Shaype’s Fat Squad. Get it?) – Scott Reed pinned Matty with a shooting star press. Fun match. 7) “The Graduate” won a 15-man Royal Rumble. Order of entry (I believe): Jonny Idol, Eddie Edwards, Brandon Locke, KL, Fury, Bob Evans, Ms. Peters (!), K-Bosh, “D”, Matty K, DC Dillinger, the Graduate, Scott Reed, Steven Prince, and Justin Shaype. This was an entertaining match. Things of interest – Idol was the “iron man” of the match by lasting the longest. Evans & Murphy seem to be having problems. K-Bosh squashed a bunch of wrestlers (including Ms. Peters). The Graduate is underhanded. 8) The Nightbreed defeated the Noize Boyz!!! in a guitar-on-a-pole match. This match was an all-out war! All kinds of cool tag moves were showcased. The conclusion saw the Nightbreed getting the guitar first but the Noize Boyz stealing it from them. One of the Nightbreed saved the day with a blast of green mist to the face of one of the Noize Boyz and the second Noize Boyz was destroyed with the guitar. Wow! The crowd noise was insane! 9) Antonio Thomas defeated Alex Arion to win the WFA title! This match was freaking intense! More insanity from the crowd! I was proud to be apart of it! I highly recommend seeing the WFA if you’re in NH. It’s well worth the trip! Great matches, superb presentation (the music, the lighting, the entrance videos), hot crowds, and hot chicks. All taped for WFA’s Impact TV.

The Adams Memorial Opera House in Derry NH on Saturday night August 16th will be the site of what looks to be the biggest Wrestling Federation of America live event to date! This past week, WFA matchmaker Sheldon Goldberg announced some of the matches that will headline the first live event back after the WFA stars return from their month long summer break. The TRIPLE MAIN EVENT card features matches that are sure to settle some scores and answer some questions! One of the three main events that evening is a match that has many WFA fans talking. WFA champion, "The Golden Greek" Alex Arion will take on #1 contender, "The Promise" Antonio Thomas, with "MoFo" Steve Bradley as the special guest referee! Many wonder what Antonio Thomas is thinking after attacks on both Bradley and Arion? Also, will the "MoFo" be a fair referee in a ring with two of his bitter enemies? Also on this big card, the first ever "Guitars On A Pole Match"! Last time the WFA was in Derry, Nightbreed was viscously attacked by the 80's hair band-like Noize Boyz and hit over the head with acoustic guitars! This time, Guitars will be legal! It will be Nightbreed taking on the Noize Boyz with guitars hanging above the ring, the first team to get them down, may use them! As if that wasn't enough there will also be a 15 man "Texas Round-Up"! Every two minutes a new wrestler will enter the ring, over-the-top-rope elimination! Royal Rumble rules! More matches will be announced in the coming weeks! Remember fans, the last time the WFA was in Derry the show SOLD-OUT very quickly, so be sure to purchase your tickets now to avoid being left out! Check out the video preview for this event. http://www.wfawrestling.com

You seem to be missing some anmes on your definitive poll.
-
These two are rated just as they are. There's no "overating" being done. Therefore I'll pass on voting.

Because it's awesome. How was it awesome? Terrible pacing....bad selling....crappy matwork from Shawn....no falls....lame overtime.... It's the most overrated match ever. Gotta agree to disagree on this one. I agree that the overtime was bad and anticlimatic. The rest (the matwork, the selling, the lack of falls, the drama) is gold.

Guilty pleasures? Matches your love...

Well, I DID get a kick out of watching the match, but even I can admit it sucked the dreaded meat missile. It's a good match just not in the "workrate" sense. -
Because it's awesome. I was disappointed with the Rock-HHH ladder match from SummerSlam 98. I thought it was bad then and it's even worse to watch now.

Freedy vs. Jason II : Here is some information...
Betty Houle replied to Downhome's topic in Television & Film
Or the gayest. -
Kinda funny, considering he only played Jason for 7, 8, Hell, and X. 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 each had a different actor for Jason, I believe. ACTOR?

It did epsecially well when you factor in that it opened on less screens than a lot of movies. I'm sure it will have "legs", too. Word of mouth will help this movie make decent money.
