Who the fuck is Dominique Franks? Either way, on behalf of the Gator Nation I'd like to send him a thank you for prime bulletin board material. Link

Ridiculous punt return puts Alabama right back into. Utah needs a big drive here.
-
My fuck, what is really impressing me is Utah's defensive pressure. That must be the third or fourth sack by now. I knew they were talented on offense but I did not expect this out of their defense. This is VERY impressive.
-
This could be over by half time for fuck sakes.
-
Wow. Alabama looked downright lost against that Utah hurry up. Color me very impressed. Edit: 14-0 Utes 6 minutes into the game. Alabama just looks completely overmatched right now.
-
Not many people realize Ole Miss was a handful of plays away from being 10-2 or even 11-1.

I wasn't sure where to put this so I guess this is the right spot.. The Slovakia goalie in the World Juniors is playing out of his mind right now. The US is out shooting Slovakia something like 30-10 yet Slovakia is winning 3-1 early in the third. Pretty entertaining stuff. Edit: US just scored a key goal and it was pretty funny to hear the crowd get completely deflated after the goal. Definitely check this game out if you can.

Christ, Harrell just about broke a 50 yard run right before the half in the Cotton Bowl. A real good game so far, definitely worth checking out.

Just wait until tonight

USC blowing out another overrated Big Ten team in the Rose Bowl, gets hailed as the 'real' best team in the country, which leads to a top 3 ranking next year. Where have I seen this before?

"Michigan State keeps pulling a Plaxico-- shooting themselves" Gotta love Mike Patrick.

I realize this is pretty late but living in Canada I just watched the Heisman Presentation for the first time and Christ, did Billy Sims ever make a complete ass out of himself. Not only did he embarrass Bradford, he made a mockery of the whole event. Pretty funny, though.

Looks like Dan Mullen will in fact be calling plays for the Gators in the title game. I'm pretty concerned, given the situation that happened in 2001 when Mark Richt had taken the Georgia job but stayed on board at Florida State for their national championship to call plays. Richt proceeded to lead the Noles to zero offensive points.

Troy Smith says hello.

Mullen is the Quarterbacks coach and is in charge of the play calling. Many Gator fans (myself included) have been extremely frustrated with his predictable playcalling and outright horrible calls at critical times. Ironically, the year Florida won the national championship was the year most people were calling for his head. Florida would routinely jump out to early leads only to be squandered by insanely conservative and predictable playcalling. He has been better since Tebow took over, but I've still been seeing some suspect play calling at times. Mullen is a pretty solid recruiter, so losing him will definitely hurt on that front. As far as the offense goes I think most coordinators in the country could succeed with the likes of Tebow, Harvin, etc.
-
Who said anything about blaming Mullen? In fact, I can guarantee you more than a few people in Gainesville are thrilled about Mullen leaving.

This is pretty disturbing, a month away from a national championship... Full Article I love Urban Meyer. What he has brought to this program in under 5 years has far surpassed even the most unreasonable expectations. But as a Gator fan, to see stuff like this, you really have to wonder where his heart is.

I'm not getting why everyone is shooting down the possibility of a split national champion. Say Oklahoma beats Florida in a close game, and Texas hammers Ohio State as expected. How would Texas not have a legitimate claim to #1 having beat the MNC in Oklahoma?
-
Did anyone here actually watch the Ole Miss-Florida game? It was a bad loss, yes, but Florida all but handed Mississippi the game with something like 3 turnovers in the second half. Florida played easily one of their worst games since the Zook era for fuck sakes. And after all that, they were still a 4th and 1 (and a botched extra point) away from winning the game. It's not like Florida got handled easily like some people make it seem.

BCS Standings: Got these off CFN so they should be reliable. Link

Ball game. What a football game.
-
Beautiful.
-
The fact that Florida has had no answer to essentially the same 5 plays repeated is pretty scary.
-
Just announced on Fox, it will in fact be Oklahoma.
-
I've tried to stay out of this argument but if it is indeed Oklahoma over Texas that is really, really wrong. No matter how you analyze it Texas beat Oklahoma. Now, my question is: What are the chances of a Oklahoma-Texas national championship game?
