  1. He didn't use Man in the Box on the live show. He used an instrumental cover. The only non-Harry Slash authentic music that was used was Metallica's Enter Sandman for The Sandman.
  2. And by the way folks, you can pre-order ECW One Night Stand from www.DeepDiscountDVD.com for only about $13.48 with free shipping, as opposed to the suggested retail price of $24.95. Ship date on Tuesday, June 28th.
  3. Great Sasuke sometimes would drop in to ECW. And for the record, the Rise and Fall of ECW didn't bleep anything on their DVD. Everyone says "fuck" and "shit" unbleeped. They couldn't allow "fuck" because the show was rated TV-14, which was a previous agreement when it originally was Bad Blood. The DVD could probably be uncensored, and it'd be a great selling point. I'd really like to hear what Bischoff said at the end.
  4. Why don't you just order the replay? They'll replay it all week.
  5. What's funny is that JBL blasted ECW fans for taking the internet so seriously, and he was backstage bitching about what Meanie said...on the internet. How ironic.
  6. From PWI: BACKSTAGE NEWS AND NOTES FROM THE PPV by Dave Scherer In talking to a lot of workers since last night's PPV, the prevailing opinion was that they had a lot of fun last night and that it was a great show to be a part of. For many, it brought back memories of how much fun their had in ECW. For others, who never worked there, it showed them first hand what the company was like back in the day. The word going around backstage was that Rey Mysterio and Psicosis knew their match didn't deliver and they weren't happy about it. But, Rey was working with a bad wheel, so you have to give him credit for trying. The one negative thing that people were talking about was Bradshaw's throwing legit punches at The Blue Meanie, most probably due to the fact that Meanie has mentioned in the past that Bradshaw is a backstage bully that preys on weaker young wrestlers and makes them the subjects of his high school-like hijinx. Basically, Bradshaw showed himself to be anything but champion-like with what he pulled last night and in fact proved everything that Meanie said about him. The guy is almost forty years old and acts like a 12 year old. It's sad.
  7. I thought they were going to do an embrace spot that they couldn't show on TV because Eddie was a heel. Guess I was dead wrong. Eddie doesn't seem like the type of guy to get pissed off about something so small as a broken nose, especially with Benoit.
  8. Fuck that. It's ECW. Let it happen.
  9. For the record, I did some research and found out where the heat between JBL and Meanie came from. Back when WWE was getting shit for hazing in the wake of Billy Silverman quitting the company, Blue Meanie did an interview indentifying Bradshaw as the guy who leads the hazing and called him "The biggest asshole in the WWF". That's where it came from.
  10. I don't understand why The Dudleys would try to protect him. Maybe they weren't aware of what he did to Meanie?
  11. This is from somebody on the Death Valley Driver forums that was at the event: I was there live and JBL was drunk he was drinking all day and during the spots where they were sitting in the crowd he was drinking beers 2 at a time. During some of the segment he was being yelled at by WWe crew for not being in place or sitting while they were filming other wrestlers. he then would scream and make a ass out of himself with the crew. JBL was on the verge of a huge ass kicking from AL Snow and a few others when Bubba jumped in and pulled him out. There were also a lot of angry words with the crippler and Eddy after Eddies nose was broken and he was legit pissed off. So that explains the shittyness of Eddie/Benoit. And If I were Bubba Ray, I would have let JBL take the beating.
  12. Back in 1998, Brian Christopher (at least, it was him according to Dave Meltzer) would drug girls and rape them while they were knocked out. When the wrestlers found out, they held a Wrestler's Court backstage and his punishment was getting the shit scared out of him by Bradshaw. When Christopher was taking a shower, Bradshaw jumped him wearing nothing but cowboy boots. He tied up Christopher's hands and feet and covered him with baby oil and threatened to rape him since he did it to so many girls. But it was just a scare tactic, and Bradshaw didn't really do it. This story came out when WCW referee Billy Silverman quit WWE in mid-2001 just as the InVasion was starting due to Bradshaw's hazing. Also with this story came along the one where Charles Robinson was jumped, stripped down to his boxers, tied to an equipment box, and rolled around the backstage area by Bradshaw and other wrestlers.
  13. Eddie's too roided now to be the Eddie Guerrero we're all used to anyways.
  14. Eddie Guerrero really looked like he didn't want to be there. I could feel the energy from Chris Benoit, but Guerrero didn't seem into it at all. Paul Heyman promised a Japanese style match on Byte This, but this was WWE style all the way.
  15. Wow, JBL is a piece of shit. Someone has really got to do something about jackasses like JBL and Bob Holly legitimately beating the shit out of people. Apparently, JBL still has a beef with something The Blue Meanie did when Meanie was in WWE in 1999. What exactly did he do to him?
  16. This is the first time EVER I have actually stayed sat down and watched the entire replay of a PPV. This show was just unbelievable. RVD's interview was a shoot because if you're a mark, you have no idea what he's talking about. But Heyman? Everything he said could be justified by a WWE mark. Even a mark remembers the on-air relationship Matt Hardy and Lita had. A mark can relate to his comments on Edge. A mark can relate to his comments on Eric Bischoff. A mark can relate to his comments on JBL. "The only reason you were WWE Champion for a year is because Triple H didn't want to work Tuesdays." = Worked Shoot "The only reason you were WWE Champion for a year is because Triple H wasn't there on Tuesdays to fuck Stephanie McMahon before the pre-show creative meeting." = Shoot Shoot. But the show was incredible. I got teary-eyed at the beginning seeing Joey Styles almost lose it. I marked out when Francine showed up. I was totally not expecting that. But the mark out moment of the night was seeing Beulah for the first time in 7 years. Awesome. Need I say anything more about Mike Awesome and Masato Tanaka? They had a match that completely equalled November 2 Rememer 1999, if not outdid it. I was surprised the ECW crowd didn't hold a grudge against Awesome, but Joey Styles sure did. You could tell Mick Foley was really trying to defend him. Rey vs. Psicosis was terrible. Psicosis tried, but Rey really should have known better not to bring his WWE act to an ECW show. What happened to the Japanese-style match Heyman promised us between Chris Benoit & Eddie Guerrero? It looked like a lame WWE-style match to me. And plus, Eddie just seemed like he didn't want to be there. For a guy who was told he'd never wrestle again, Sabu put on a great performance. "YOU GOT FIRED" chants at Rhino were hilarious. I also enjoyed seeing him referred to as the Big F'N Deal again. Boy, is Taz a fucking fatass now or what? You would have thought he would have at least stayed in shape after retirement. RVD gave the best promo of his career. I bet he knocked the socks off any WWE fan who had never heard RVD be the Whole F'N Show. The 3-Way was great for what it was, but way too short. When Guido got eliminated early, I thought Tajiri and Super Crazy would have another 15-minute war again. Not to be. ECW is like a drug. I thought the addiction was over. I hadn't taken a hit for 4 years. And I finally experienced it one more time, and I'm addicted again.
  17. I almost cried seeing Joey Styles get emotional at the beginning of the show.
  18. Matt Hardy has made a statement on his website about tonight's ECW PPV. What's up everyone? I got about 50 calls tonight from people buzzing me on the ECW crowd being all over Adam's @ss about me and the Paul E plug. After reading a couple of reviews of the show, it reminded me of why I loved ECW so much back in the day. Spontaneity. Controversy. Not being afraid to break from "the formula". Alot of truth and honesty rolled into the "entertainment" aspect of pro wrestling. Regardless of how predetermined or not Paul's two (or three) words were - "Matt frickin' Hardy", I respect him and thank him for going there. It popped me when I heard. Paul Heyman is a truly amazing individual when it comes down to him having his fingers on the pulse of the product. I respect his contributions to the business and wrestling mind greatly. I also respect the f*ck out of the New York fans--more specifically, the more educated, can't be insulted, we'll call you out on your feces fans. When it comes to performing, there's nowhere like NYC and the New Yorkers. As always, I thank everyone for their support--be well. Matt
  19. What I'm wondering is if the Rey vs. Eddie feud will be referenced on the PPV at all considering both men are working it.
  20. I remember hearing The Rock was at the WrestleMania 21 after-party.
  21. They signed him to a talent/booking contract in October 2003 and when they decided to kill off the Paul Bearer character, I guess they decided to void his talent contract and sign him to the "legends" deal.
  22. Forever Hardcore is an ECW documentary by Shane Douglas & Jeremy Borash. Because if anyone would know about the history of ECW, it's Jeremy Borash.
  23. According to Byte This, RVD will have "about 10 minutes" of completely unrestricted interview time at One Night Stand. Seeing how much he does it on radio shows, anyone wanna bet RVD makes a HHH reference?
  24. Lita probably has a ragged, ripped-up cunt.
  25. ? At what point during the show? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Shortly after Bischoff's message. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If you mean the silence right after Bischoff's message ends - that's just the audio channel switching back. Dreamer's mouth wasn't moving. And I watched 5 minutes after that and I don't hear any edits. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dreamer said "Fuck yourself" to Bischoff. I watched the live feed. They blanked it out of the archive.
