  1. And she absolutely positively wasn't dating Austin either!
  2. Hmmm... -Chose to be a demon, twice. -Slaughter thousands. -Was greedy and cowardly as a human (although she did save the lives of Xander and Andrew). I'm not seeing it.
  3. I agree whole-heartedly.
  4. I keep wanting to buy my parents a DVD played for Christmas every year, but I'm afraid my mom will bitch about the blackbars on all the movies.
  5. Every show on that schedule was shit. My grandma LOVED "Empty Nest", BTW. I'll admit that "Moonlighting" and "Home Improvement" had their moments, but that grid looks like what if TV Guide published a schedule for Hell.
  6. If only Farooq was still around.
  7. I actually like the controls and the way you can create your own storylines by attacking others backstage. The CAS was pretty good, too. It allowed you to play songs off your hard drive as wrestler entrances. Plus, it has Sting's facepaint and Jeff Hardy's taunts and deranged ramp-dance programmed into it. Since Crash was a character, you can create a near-perfect AJ Styles CAS. I still play this game pretty regularly.
  8. I don't like the laser light show opening either. The black and white with the different wrestlers in the Unknown WWE Warehouse looking mean was much better. It's not quite as urban, but it looks better. THe laser light show opening is the most fucking idiotic thing I've ever seen on a wrestling show that Kane was not involved with.
  9. There's something dignified about that. As for the 700,000 or so combined buyrate - while that may be good for a 6 week period, there are other factors: Wrestlers are getting 3 times the regular payoff, three venues are booked, decked out and so on, advertising is three fold. There's got to be a point where it's more profitable to run one or two big shows, than three or four crappy drawing ones. I'd really love to know how much it costs them to put on a PPV. Do ticket sales pay for the production costs of the event, or is that where the wrestler pay-offs come from?
  10. Goldberg was kept off of television and Lesnar was jobbed out. Then the fans found out both guys were leaving the company.
  11. I feel dumber for having read this.
  12. Ay come on now save day kinda stuff fore da Hardcore Discussion dis is da peacful forum eh? plz thx. I think dat he haz a poynt.
  13. I second what Promoter said.
  14. In my opinion, that's worth more than anything else the other contestants have done.
  15. Edge has cut some good promos from time to time. There was one from when he was feuding with William Regal that comes to mind. His current fued with Jericho has a lot of potential to solidify his character development. Unfortunately, his ringwork will still suck no matter how good the storyline is.
  16. *edits post after seeing nearly identical post above*
  17. I liked that match, damn it! Good psychology, some creative spots from Angle, and the right guy went over.
  18. He is a WWE homegrown star and they take care of their own, this is the same company that got rid of Jerry Lynn while he was injured but they don't want to fired Test because they all of a sudden don't get rid of injured wrestlers. "don't get rid of injured wrestlers" = job security by being in a relationship with a very popular Diva. edit: They call me Capt. Obvious.
  19. Meltzer is dead wrong about this. Triple H's character has already been developed (mostly by in his fued with HBK) as someone who can turn on his friends at any minute. Using a character's past actions as a guide to his present actions IS good storytelling. It wouldn't be remotely realistic for HHH, as a character, to tolerate ANYONE as champ but himself for a long period on months. The audience would not buy Triple H being nice to Orton for an extended period of time because Triple H is such a well-established heel who values the title above everything else. And "they blew off 4-5 months worth of good programming in one fell swoop last night"? I honestly don't see anything good about dragging this out for months. The slow turn is way overplayed, and would get boring quickly. The WWE did the right thing. They gave us something immediately exciting to look forward to, instead of the usual slow-turn crap they've already recently done, or are currently doing, with: Jericho, Trish and Christian Jericho and Edge Lita and Matt Triple H and Eugene Eddie and Chavo Lesnar and Angle etc., etc., etc.
  20. That's going in the sig. Wait a minute...I thought the World Wildlife Fund had ALWAYS been known as the World Wildlife Fund for Nature in the US?
  21. Exactly. Thanks to WWE for not dragging this out with teases for months. That would've sucked. People who say they should've saved this for Mania are forgetting that's another 7 months away. This angle needed to be told right away while the fire is hot.
  22. Nationwide=LA, NYC, & Chicago. Don't you know your geography?
  23. Jericho and Benoit had a great IC feud almost FOUR YEARS AGO. In fact, I'd argue that Jericho's greater than the IC title also, but he still wants to do programs with it because of Ricky Steamboat's association with the title. Benoit JUST LOST the World Heavyweight Championship after a 5 month reign. He deserves a couple of rematches before being depushed.
  24. I don't know, maybe it's just me.....but Christy strikes me as unbelievably obnoxious and a straight up corn ball Fine qualities for a non-wrestling Diva, if you ask me. Her ice cream skit last week showed more personality than anything else any of those girls have done. It made ME want to punch her face in. Cuz Christy's a natural heel! SIGN HER, VINCE, SIGN HER!!!!!
