    What records

Ripken's can be broken; it'll take a while yes, but with the DH, AL players can extend their streaks. Without checking, I believe the modern single season B.A. record is Hornsby - 1924 - 4.24. That's unattainable, considering 4.00 might never be hit again. Any power record is up for grabs. Rose's hit record can be broken, Sisler's record was broken by Ichiro, and people like Ichiro, Pujos, Helton, Guerrero, and Tejada constantly get a ton of hits each season, and with better training each year, their careers are gonna last longer and longer. Young's record is safe of course.

    May Jukebox

Nitro - Jushin Liger vs. Dean Malenko 5/6/96 | Approx. run time: 7 mins. When it comes to the best in technical, cruiserweight action, you don't have to look any further. Liger and Malenko put on a cruiserweight clinic in this early-Nitro classic. Could the man of 1000 holds defeat the high-flier from Japan? Nitro - Ric Flair vs. Jeff Jarrett 5/15/00 | Approx. run time: 11 mins. The WCW Championship was on the line in this exciting Nitro matchup. Could the 16-time World Champion Ric Flair turn back the clocks and take down Jeff Jarrett? Jarrett may have had youth on his side, but Flair is still the dirtiest player in the game. Nitro - Daphne & Crowbar vs. Tammy Sytch & Chris Candido 5/15/00 | Approx. run time: 5 mins. While Chris Candido and Crowbar provided much of the in-ring action in this Nitro matchup, Daphne and Tammy Sytch laid it all on the line as well. Could Daphne back up her shrill screams with a pinfall? Or would the veteran team of Candido and Sytch come out on top? RAW - L.O.D. vs. Pillman & Neidhart 5/26/97 | Approx. run time: 6 mins. While there's no denying that the Legion of Doom will go down in history as perhaps the greatest tag team that sports entertainment has ever seen, the Hart Foundation was one of the most powerful groups in WWE at the time. Could the unpredictable Brian Pillman and the vicious Jim Neidhart upset Animal and Hawk? Music City Showdown - Ricky Steamboat vs. Ric Flair 5/7/89 | Approx. run time: 33 mins. This match is considered by many to be the best WCW match ever, and one of the best matches in sports entertainment history. This was the second meeting between Steamboat and Flair, with Steamboat winning the WCW Championship in their first match. The two had a lot to live up to, but they somehow topped their previous match. Was Flair able to walk away with his sixth Championship, or would Steamboat go 2-2 against the Nature Boy? Extreme Warfare Vol. 1 - Francine vs. Beulah 8/26/95 | Approx. run time: 14 mins. Francine and Beulah may be very easy on the eyes, but they also show that you don't want to get on their bad sides in this ECW clash. Francine and Beulah pull no punches and show that its not only the men of ECW that can get extreme. In Your House - Goldust vs. Undertaker 5/26/96 | Approx. run time: 16 mins. The Undertaker has an amazing record of success in Casket Matches, but Goldust would come into this match up for the task. An appearance by Mankind plays a large role in the outcome of the match, but would it be enough for the bizarre one to get a win over the Deadman? In Your House - Undertaker vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin 5/11/97 | Approx. run time: 27 mins. This match marked the first time Undertaker, then the WWE Champion, met Stone Cold Steve Austin in a pay-per-view match. Several members of the Hart Foundation were also at ringside. Before the night was over, the Hart Foundation made its presence felt, but who would they end up helping win the match? Judgment Day - IC Battle Royal 5/18/03 | Approx. run time: 22 mins. Kane, Chris Jericho, Christian, Test, Booker T, Val Venis, Goldust, Lance Storm and Rob Van Dam all vied for the Intercontinental Championship in a Battle Royal. It appeared as though Booker T had things in hand, but Captain Charisma had other plans. Would Christian be able to weasel his way to the IC title? In Your House - Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Triple H 10/20/96 | Approx. run time: 20 mins. Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H have had several classic matches over the years, but this was one of the first times these two Superstars met in the ring. Triple H finally seemed to have things going his way, but Mr. Perfect made a surprise appearance distracting Triple H. Would the distraction be enough for Stone Cold to come out on top? Royal Rumble - Mini Mankind & Mini Vader vs. La Parkita & Mascarita 1/19/97 | Approx. run time: 7 mins. While Mankind and Vader were two imposing forces in WWE at the time, there were also some smaller versions of the two Superstars trying to make a name for themselves. Mini Vader and Mini Mankind took on La Parkita and Mascarita in an exciting Minis Match that you won't want to miss! In Your House - Mankind vs. The Rock 5/11/97 | Approx. run time: 10 mins. Mankind and The Rock have had quite a relationship over the years in WWE. Many fans remember them as teammates as part of the Rock N' Sock Connection, but they met for one of the first times at this In Your House event. The match came shortly after The Rock lost his first Intercontinental Championship. Would The Rock be able to get back to his winning ways? King of the Ring - Yokozuna vs. Hogan 6/13/93 | Approx. run time: 23 mins. Hulk Hogan shocked the world when he answered a challenge from Yokozuna at WrestleMania IX and won the WWE Championship in an unscheduled match. This was the much-anticipated rematch between the two. Hogan defeated Yokozuna when the behemoth didn't have any time to prepare for the Hall of Famer. Would Yokozuna be able to take down the Hulkster now that he had time to study the legend? Anarchy Rulz - Mike Awesome vs. Tazz vs. Tanaka 9/19/99 | Approx. run time: 21 mins. Tazz was one of the most popular wrestlers in ECW history, and this was his farewell match. He walked into this Three Way Dance as the ECW Champion, but Mike Awesome and Masato Tanaka were hungry for the gold. Would Tazz be able to leave ECW on a winning note? Hardcore Heaven - Shane Douglas vs. Sabu vs. Terry Funk 8/17/97 | Approx. run time: 29 mins. Harcore Heaven became one of ECW's signature annual events and this was the first time it was aired on pay-per-view. Shane Douglas, Sabu and Terry Funk met in a Three Way Dance for the ECW Championship in the main event. As is par for the course in ECW, carnage and chaos was the end result. Funk's brother Dory made a surprise appearance, but would it be enough to win the match? RAW - Cactus Jack vs. Triple H 9/22/97 | Approx. run time: 13 mins. Cactus Jack and Triple H have met in some of the most hellacious matches in WWE history. This match was one of the first times these two Superstars met in the squared circle. You won't want to miss this momentous RAW match! Don Muraco and Mr. Fuji in "Fuji Vice" Approx. run time: 9 mins. Although Don Muraco and Mr. Fuji had made a comfortable living for themselves as WWE Superstars, they also had acting aspirations. Fuji Vice was Muraco and Fuji's attempt at trying to re-create the magic of the highly-successful series Miami Vice. The acting abilities of Muraco and Fuji have to be seen to be believed! Clash of the Champions XVII - Sting vs. Ravishing Rick Rude 11/19/91 | Approx. run time: 5 mins. Earlier in the evening, Sting was brutally attacked by Lex Luger and had his knee taken out by a vicious clip. During the course of the night, Eric Bischoff was providing the audience with updates from the hospital and it was learned that if Sting could not return in time for his match, he would have to forfeit the U.S. Championship. Sting did make it back in time, but his knee was still in bad shape. Could Sting overcome the injury or would Rick Rude walk out as the new champion? Nitro - Vince Russo vs. Ric Flair 6/5/00 | Approx. run time: 11 mins. Vince Russo may not provide the same physical threat that some of Flair's former opponents like Lex Luger, Sting, Dusty Rhodes or Harley Race have, but Vince Russo had all the power in the world at this point. With Russo in charge of things anything is possible. But could he really beat the Nature Boy in a Steel Cage Match? Shittiest Jukebox Ever.

Thats not the April Jukebox. The April Jukebox has been out since 4/1, and is a bunch of random matches, some pretty damn good. Check again. That Hogan selection has been there forever and is just every jukebox match of his in one place.

    SNL Review- it's finally up!

Except it wasn't Paris thinking, "Wow, they use this sketch a lot, I'm a huge fan of this show, and every time a non-actor hosts, they do a sketch with a restaurant, I don't want to do it again." It was, "I'm only hosting this show because I'm rich, I'm not talented, Hey there's a possiblity of a funny joke about me having crabs? No way, I'm too cool for that. I'm Paris Hilton. I do what I what I want." Best part of the Paris show - Her walking in front of the camera at the end of the Marv sketch

    Road Warriors DVD

JR will be perfect for this, especially with Animal since I'm sure they go way back. The Benoit DVD would have been fine with just Cole and Tazz commentary and no Benoit/Grisham/Malenko, or if they just went with some combination of absolutly Tazz/Benoit with possibly Cole and/or Malenko thrown in.

    Storm/JBL/Holly dispute

Ok, once again we don't know any of these guys personally so let's not take everything we hear as gospal. The only thing that does bother me, if it's true, is Holly and Bradshaw getting in Storm's face because Storm told his students to stand up for themselves, that shows a lack of class.

    Storm/JBL/Holly dispute

I also remember the whole Billy Silverman incident where Silverman bought himself a first class ticket and it offended the wrestlers so Bradshaw made him carry beer up some stairs and hurt Silverman's back.

    Raw is stagnating already.

Yes, all the matches are always at least OK, but wouldn't you get tired of watching Flair face Steamboat or Hart face Michaels every week. Something needs to be shaken up. And with so much talent on the roster, both Raw and Smackdown, it's inexcusable to be putting the same matches on TV and PPV week after week, month after month.
  16. Beast

    Raw is stagnating already.

I just cannot wait for a draft of some sorts. At the Oratory there was a column stating how the "Raw Seven", (Benoit, Edge, Michaels, Christian, Jericho, Orton, and Shelton) have been putting on great matches since last winter and are comparable in ways to the "Smackdown Six" of 2002. However, it is also pointed out that on every Raw and PPV since like November or earlier, two or more of these wrestlers have wrestled each other consistantly. I am soooooo tired of it. Every week it is Benoit vs. Christian and Jericho vs. Edge. Or Michaels vs. Orton and Edge vs. Benjamin. Or Benoit and Jericho vs. Edge and Christian. Or Michaels vs. Edge and Christian vs. Benjamin and Jericho vs. Orton. New matchups need to be made. Even at Backlash, it's Benoit vs. Edge, AGAIN, and Benjamin vs. Jericho, AGAIN. Now, yes, I am looking forward to the PPV. It looks pretty good. It's being built up well, both the matches above will probably rock; Batista-HHH II should be entertaining as will the HBK/Hogan team. But the WWE is just dying for some new matchups.

    Stacked

No way that or Life On A Stick lasts longer than Andy's show. I can't believe there were 14 eps of that. I loved that show. Maybe it'll be on DVD someday. But Stacked is gonna be like that Method Man/Red Man show from last year hopefully.

    Current Hall Of Famers

Sad to say it, but Hardcore Holly and definitely JBL will inducted sooner or later, Holly as a Bob Orton type of induction, while JBL, now these held the belt so long will absolutely make it in since McMahon loves him so much.

    Just Noticed

Last year, Benoit and Eddie were champs at Wrestlemania. This year, Eddie was the first man in the Royal Rumble, while Benoit was second. Cena was second to last left, Batista was last. Eddie lost in the first match at Wrestlemania, while Benoit lost in the second. Cena, won the title in the second to last match of the night, while Batista won the title in the final. I know it doesnt mean crap, but it does work out weird.
