Yeah I have no idea why Slim even came up with that dumb analogy. There was an even better analogy right there staring him in the face yet he had to go with something else. If someone had downloaded a movie or a song and had somehow convinced the public that it was his and profited for it, then that would be similar to what Mencia is doing. All you had to do was substitute "joke" with "movie" or "song." While downloading copyrighted material without paying for it is rightfully wrong, most people aren't profiting from it. It's just for their own enjoyment. No, it isn't. Unless the correlation is that they're both wrong. Downloading copyrighted material for your own enjoyment has nothing to do with the whole Mencia/Rogan thing. edit: Rogan on Breuer's show: http://www.haider.1g.fi/Joe_Rogan_Talks_ab...BreuerUnlea.mp3

From Joe's site: My agent dropped me because of the Carlos™ This is starting to get hysterical. As the fearful little animals scamper to a safe, dry spot on the sinking ship of lies, characters are exposed and karma is radiantly beautiful. My agent from the Gersh agency, who is the same guy that represents Carlos, spoke to me on the phone today. He told me that he was being "put in the middle of this thing, and forced to make a choice." He said that Carlos wanted to get on the phone with me and end this once and for all, and get this... wanted an apology. If I didn't do this, he wanted the Gersh agency to either drop me, or he would leave them. I told them that was fucking hilarious, and said that it's been fun working with them. The fact that they would even consider asking me to do something like that meant I was going to leave them anyway, but the sheer stereotypical "hollywood" nature of conversation actually fucking shocked me. It was like a scene in a movie. Not even a current movie. More like that Kevin Bacon movie "The Big Picture" that was about the evils of Hollywood from the early 90's. I hung up the phone and laughed out loud. A real, hard, pleasure filled laugh. Now can you IMAGINE if I was a young, struggling comic and all this shit went down? THAT is the really ugly part of it. Now you know why people don't speak up about this shit. Hollywood eats it's young. At least the Gersh agency does. What a fascinating, and intriguing life this is turning out to be.

"This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Carlos Mencia" Luckily it's still up at break.com http://www.break.com/index/joe_rogan_confr...los_mencia.html

Carlos Mencia is human garbage just like Larry the Cable Guy. They're both fakes. It wasn't until each of them started playing to their respective stereotypes that they got the attention they did. Except Mencia was in the crowd and went up to confront Joe.

Why the hell would he reach out for her and yell her name if he was only interested in saving himself? You could see in his face that he was distressed and had no idea what had just happened. Of course if you don't want to see it that way you could just say he's faking it but that's bullshit. It was implied by the show that it was the first time he had ever flown. You're letting your feelings towards what he's done in other parts of the show cloud your judgement. I can't believe a character could affect so many people this way. Sure he's an asshole, but he's just a god damn tv character and he's not even that interesting. I remember when that episode first aired, some people posted on the imdb boards that he was an ass because he purposely flew out. But they were the minority. I have no idea how someone can come up with that conclusion after seeing the scene but evidently it happened. edit: And it wasn't about his powers accidently activating "themselves" either. He was about to crash and instinctively his mind thought about getting out of there and that's the first time he drew on his ability to fly even though he didn't know that he could. It's like the first time Bruce Willis decided to bench press as much as he could in Unbreakable even though he was always that strong. You can also see that in Nikki and Isaac's powers too.

Damn people are still spouting this bullshit? How the hell could anyone interpret that scene from the first season that way? He obviously didn't know how to control his powers and had no idea what was going on.

I miss Eiko Koike saying "And the winner is MirKO Crooooo-COP!" I don't think Eiko Koike speaks English. You're probably thinking of the crazy old white lady that always screams the fighters' names. Eiko Koike: Lenne Hardt (crazy old white lady):

From Joe Rogan: "Anderson Silva had knee surgery on both knees just 11 weeks ago. That was why he was so easy to take down, and that was why he couldn't squeeze 100% when he had Lutter in the triangle. I ran into his manager after the show and he told me the whole deal. His knees were still very sore. Later that night I ran into Anderson in the hotel, and he was limping like he was just double knee barred. Crazy shit. If Travis ever had a chance, last night was it. Great fight, either way."
-
You didn't see that last replay? It was clearly in the shoulder. You could even see Halverson think about it for a second and then decide to just flatten out. The ref only told Huerta to watch the knee. That dumb bitch got what he deserved. I'm glad Huerta stood up for himself and calmly explained the situation in the post fight interview.
-
The most memorable part of the event was how pathetic Halverson was.

That last replay cleared it up completely. It was clearly a legal hit. I have no idea what Halverson was doing.

Even people who hate Crocop and the UFC would be horrified at what you just said. It's obvious you're new to MMA.

He looks horrible.

He wasn't going to win the title anyway.
