  4. It's falling pretty hard this week at the box office. It probably won't make 400+ domestic.

  11. Hell I'd actually prefer it if Corey won but now it's down to: Ruediger, Wiman, Lauzon, and Maynard (first three already have UFC experience) vs. Sims, Geraghty, Weems, and Corey Pretty damn easy to see where this is going.
  12. Watch Ruediger easily beat Corey next week.
  13. Wang is just pathetic.

  15. Well since you referred to it as "last week's" (7 weeks ago) episode I assumed you meant the newest one. Anyway episode 18 is also on the site.
  16. Yeah, and if he doesn't live in the States? He can't watch it. Stop being such a douche. I really wish they posted edit times because I added that edit literally within 10 seconds of first submitting the post.
  17. Yeah, I do consider it helpful since I posted the link to the episode while you posted a boring text summary.
  18. Well of course you're not going to know what I'm talking about considering the fact that I'm talkng about the episode you just admitted you didn't see. edit: And I thought most people here already knew about the episodes being on nbc.com http://www.nbc.com/Video/rewind/full_episo...l?show=heroes19
  19. Ok, maybe I shouldn't have said "benefited" because neither Ozymandius or Linderman actually said that even though it was the result, but they did both use the term "united." Linderman is counting on the bomb bringing humanity together under a united fear, which is what Ozymandius also hoped to accomplish. Luthor counted on the explosion bringing his land prices up. It wasn't about instilling fear into people unless you're talking about the fear of being homeless. And no I didn't get the Ozymandius vibe from Luthor's plan because it just wasn't there. Now I obviously got the Ozymandius vibe from Linderman, and even those people who don't agree with my claims of theft got the vibe too. They were just fine with what Heroes did while I wasn't. But they clearly thought of Ozymandius when it happened. Also, I've followed this thread from the beginning. Somehow I doubt my accusations of theft derailed any meaningful discussion seeing as how 80% of this thread is composed of people marking out in sentence fragments in response to Hiro. It's not like I corrupted some brilliant, thoughtful discussion. The episodes air, people make their short posts, some people ask questions, some people answer those questions and then there's a dead period in the middle of the week where nothing happens in this thread. All I did was take up that empty spot. You can still see people in this thread discussing Heroes without any care about this whole mess.
  20. Except all Luthor wanted to do was increase the value of his land so he could make money. I really don't see how that "benefits humanity." Now onto the New York/California thing. Yes, I would still consider it stealing because unlike 24 and Watchmen, the bomb storyline in Heroes isn't the only thing being used that's similar. If you typed that up because of my remark that Carlos Mencia would have had the "decency" to change the location, well that was just a joke. That's exactly what Mencia would have done. He would have stolen a joke and then changed a word of it and pretended that it was different. Except in the case of Heroes, they've taken a lot more than one word and they're not even attempting to say that it's different because they don't have to. They have legions of fans (most who haven't even read Watchmen so their opinions about this theft should be worthless (Hawk 34)) willing to do that for them.
  21. Ok I picked the wrong question to answer. But that still doesn't explain this: Why are you asking me if those two restaurants are still the same (stealing) when you just asked me to take out the one major similarity that I'm basing everything on? (the bomb)
  22. No, you didn't, but since you insist that Heroes is ripping off Watchmen, you've implied that that's what's going to happen. Um, no. I said they stole the same storyline. The bomb might not even go off in the end but that doesn't mean they didn't steal. Yeah, it probably means that they stole from a Bond movie or something, since Bond always stops the victim. Bond predates Watchmen, btw. Alan Moore must've stolen the "villain blows stuff up and takes over the world" from Ian Fleming. Those justifications are just terrible and since it's not the first time you've posted stuff like that, I'm going to just accept that I can't change your opinion so you can continue responding to my posts with such weak arguments but I won't try to reply to you anymore.
  23. No, they aren't. Especially Watchmen. What is this second generation that you keep trying to come up with? No, they are not. They aren't investigating any plot in Heroes. At all. Main plot points are Sylar and Peter trying not to explode. How is taht investigating a plot? Which is easily one of the most used plot devices in literature and cinema. One of which is trying to stop the nuclear race and the cold war so he wants to unleash an alien that will kill alot of people and make some crazy in New York which will make both sides think aliens are invading and join forces to focus on that. In Heroes, the villian is not going to stop a hero not being able to control his powers blowing up that is already destined (by accident by the way) to happen so that he can have a president in his pocket. Thats practically the same story, huh? You are drawing lines that don't exist and since they don't exist you are slightly adjusting each story so that they do fit your "BLATANTLY STEALING" rants. Ok, so the Minutemen and the Crimebusters aren't two distinct generations of superheroes? The heroes in Heroes are investigating a plot (the bomb going off) and trying to figure out how to stop it. "Investigating" doesn't mean there's a god damn detective character going around asking questions. They "investigated" it by trying to seek answers from the paintings. You just said in a previous post that Linderman is trying to stop the people who are trying to stop the bomb. If it's all "predestined" then why would he even attempt to stop them? Even though in my opinion he talks about the bomb as if he's involved in setting up the whole thing, you can say that he had nothing to do with it but he's still actively fighting those who oppose it. He isn't simply sitting there waiting for it to happen so in effect he is involved in the bomb going off. You can only claim that he isn't actively involved if he was the only person who knew about it and just let it happen.
  24. No, you didn't, but since you insist that Heroes is ripping off Watchmen, you've implied that that's what's going to happen. Um, no. I said they stole the same storyline. The bomb might not even go off in the end but that doesn't mean they didn't steal.
