I work with some cops and I've learned from them that if you just act respectful and do some small talk, they will let you off with a warning, if even that. About two months ago I was with my cousin and his friends, the oldest not even 19, in a Chysler Concorde with 7 people in the car, me with my green hair and goatee, the almost palatable aroma of pot flowing from everyone, and an open bottle of Grey Goose in the back set, and by just being respectful and polite with him, just got a "keep it down and get home".
