Patriots line looks like it's going to end up at NE -24, which ties an all-time record. Someone on The Sports Reporters asked a good question -- is there any way the Patriots aren't favoured by at least four touchdowns against the Jets and/or Dolphins?

I think that's beyond the realm of possibility even for this season. Pitt's a pretty terrible team, and they haven't gotten a road win yet this season. The only thing they might have going for them is that it's a rivalry game, but that's not going to be enough.

Directv has it in HD no less. Lots of people who do the Sunday Ticket will get to see it, even if its not a Sunday Ticket Package game. Too bad that's restricted to people with DirecTV. I've never understood how Sunday Ticket is available universally in Canada, but not in the US.

I doubt it, since they play it at theatres here in Ottawa too. On Rogers, it's at the very end of the Super Sports Pack section of channels.

How did Bryant Gumbel keep his NFLN play-by-play job after last year's debacle? He better have gotten a LOT better since then.

I cannot say how much I loathe the concept of PPV hockey. The Sens are playing Pittsburgh, and I can't watch it because a) I can't find the damn channel it's on, and b) I'm way too cheap to pay $11 plus tax for a game I'm only going to be putting in a clicker rotation with USC/Arizona and Indy/Atlanta.

Is that good or bad?

I think they finish 8-8 at worst. Minnesota and Kansas City are winnable games, and your guess is as good as mine as far as what happens in San Diego.
