  1. From ESPN.com Now, granted, this WAS against the Tigers, but this should put Halladay back in the thick of the Cy Young race. He is an absolute stud. I didn't even know there hadn't been an extra-inning shutout in 12 years...for some reason, I thought Pedro had done it at least once. And any bets on Detroit being not being able to go 6-15, and getting the loss record?
  2. Whoa nellie! All of a sudden, it's 33-25 Florida.
  3. There is no curse. It is a fiction, thrown upon us by one idiot Boston sports writer. Boston just never has the best team. That is all.
  4. Miami is getting the shit kicked out of them right now.
  5. Let's see... 1975 - Lost to one of the 5 best teams ever. Came back from a 3-2 deficit to force Game 7. 1967 - Came back from a 3-1 deficit to force Game 7. I'll give you 1946, but that was nearly 60 years ago. And, come to think of it, the '86 Mets were a pretty fair team themselves. Boston had no reason to think they were the favourites going into that series.
  6. http://www.msu.edu/~ostran14/freeporn2.htm Careful; not for the squeamish.
  7. Yeah, go fuck yourself, Vince. I'll stop watching your product and go watch something where the writers actually tell a story properly.
  8. I almost left the WM match off the list, truth be told...it would come last off all the matches on the list. I did really enjoy the Hart/Guerrera match, though.
  9. These were the 8 that came to my mind most readily. I used to think Benoit/Angle was a slam dunk, until seeing NWA TNA on September 3rd. Now, I'd still vote for it, but it's a lot closer. Could an "indy" match actually be Match of the Year? That's NEVER happened!
  10. They misspelled "aged."
  11. How has Boston choked more than other teams? I can't see any evidence of it. People point to 1986 as if they've choked for 15 years before and since then, but it's just not true.
  12. They have to catch him first.
  13. Late scores: Oklahoma 6-0 over Alabama, 2nd FSU 14-10 over Maryland, 2nd Miami-Florida tied at 10, 1st USC 21-0 over BYU, 1st
  14. You do realize that was a spoof of the actual call, right?
  15. I won't go so far as to say the kid got what he deserved...but why were all the Amish people so shocked? Right, everyone would take someone throwing things at their car really well. <<< Just one more example...

  18. 13-7 Skins.
  19. I miss Melissa Stark already.
  20. I'm a senior research analyst for the Canadian government.
  21. Trust me, after 3 university-level calc courses, being good with numbers isn't required. In fact, it's a hindrance. Go with calc if you're going after a degree in a quantitative program (i.e. math, physics, accounting). Anything else, go with computer programming.

  23. I'd go with the HP. You really can't go wrong with HP peripherals...they're affordable, reliable and compatible with everything. My printer and scanner are both HP products.
  24. I was thinking of Pete Peeters, actually.
  25. Women's winner: Mother Nature.
