  1. We need a photoshop of Jay's head onto this:
  2. There's foleyfan's "WTF is he still doing here?" guy. That's a terrific selection, BTW. Very few people drew money in the early-mid 80s like JYD. THUMP
  3. Where crazy toothless Bill Cosby happens.
  4. So are mine, actually.
  5. That's why I took Sanders. I'm confident there'll be a lot of QBs to choose from in round 2, if I want to go that route.
  6. Parent was my guy if Tretiak wasn't available. Very underrated when it comes to the discussion of the best goalies.
  7. Did you see Jerry Kelly's putt at 17 to get within a stroke? Blew a four footer six feet by the hole. Nice guy, but just a bundle of nerves. He's one guy that I'm confident will never win a major.
  8. You only get to pick one.
  9. foleyfan told me his, and although I hadn't thought of him, I'm quite surprised as well. There are a couple of teams I think a lot of people are sleeping on as well (that haven't yet been spoiled).
  10. At least that means I get to hear Gus Johnson announce MMA again. He was so awesome, it's like he was born to do it.
  11. Verrrrrry solid pick.
  12. Oh, there will be Benoit matches, don't worry.
  13. Lakers have clearly kicked it up a notch in the postseason, while the Celtics are playing pretty much as they did the entire regular season. Plus Doc now has no idea how to use his bench since P.J. Brown and E.T. signed with the team. Add in the Gasol trade, and that's what I see as being different from the regular season.
  14. There we go. That's the guy I was talking about earlier. He was a top star for over a decade in more than one company. In his prime in the late 80s he was a very good worker as well and he can play both heel and face. Yeah, that was the guy I was talking about as well. I was expecting him to go sometime in the first three rounds.
  15. Wow. That came out of left field for me.
  16. Nice pick. I really wanted Neely, but not more than either of the players I picked, even though I knew there was no way he'd fall to me.
  17. Wow. This is quite the decision -- I'm completely torn between four different guys. My intention was to go with a quarterback, reasoning that running backs are a dime a dozen and I could pick up a good one pretty much anytime I wanted. But this guy was just irresistable to me: Barry Sanders, Running Back Detroit Lions, 1989-1998 15,269 rushing yards (3rd all-time) 99 rushing TDs (8th all-time) 99.8 yards per game average (2nd all-time) 10x Pro Bowl selection (1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995 1996, 1997, 1998) 10x All-Pro selection (1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998) 1997 Co-NFL MVP 1989 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year 2x NFL Offensive Player of the Year (1997, 1994) 4x NFL rushing leader (1990, 1994, 1996, 1997) 5 1500-yard rushing seasons (NFL record) 4 consecutive 1500-yard rushing seasons (NFL record) 14 consecutive 100-yard games in 1997 (NFL record) 3rd 2000-yard rushing season in NFL history (2,053 yards in 1997)
  18. Aw, hell. I was positive I was going to get LT.
  19. Given that it's Bored, I think I can safely assume what his pick will be.
  20. The referee in that match looks like it's Ricky Steamboat.
  21. It's been well past 12 hours, so Darthtiki can pick.
  22. You only need to play one game in the finals to qualify, so yes.
  23. Dammit, I was taking Wargames if it was still there. And I don't even go into the 24/7 threads. Fortunately (and I don't know how this was overlooked, frankly), this match is still available: WWF Intercontinental Championship match: Bret Hart [c] vs. British Bulldog, Summerslam, August 29, 1992
  24. I had three matches slotted into this spot (the other two being Savage/Warrior and Flair/Savage). I didn't imagine that only one would be left when it came time for me to pick, and I had ranked it third out of the three, but it's still a really enjoyable match: WWF Championship match - Randy Savage [c] vs. Hulk Hogan, Wrestlemania V, April 2, 1989 Just a great psychological affair. The only thing I don't care for is the finish, since I really didn't see why Hogan couldn't just have moved out of the way of the big elbow instead of insisting on becoming The Guy Who Kicks Out Of Everyone's Finisher (With Authority!). Hogan's best match ever, and Jesse Ventura's finest moment on commentary. Includes a huge-ass recap of the entire Megapowers angle.
  25. That decision looks really bad, almost like they were looking for any opportunity to give it to Kimbo.
