Baron Davis is THE MAN! And now Dirk finally shows his face. Gonna be a hell of a three minutes.

I'll give it to Golden State, these guys NEVER go away and give up. Two back to back threes to just take the life out of the Dallas crowd.
-
I think this series will be decided in Game 6. I don't see Golden State getting another victory in Dallas and they are going to have to capitalize on this home court advantage they now have in Game 6 to end the series. If Dallas can win Game 6 then they'll make the next round where they will "luck out" by getting to play the Utah-Houston winner who will also be coming off a long series.

I wonder how this poll changes if Gore is listed as a choice. It'd probably put Obama in the lead and put Clinton in 2nd place. Sad to see that Richardson isn't polling anywhere near the top but I think he's more VP material anyway.

Love it!

Watching this Rockets series I feel so helpless as a Jazz fan when the ball gets passed inside to Yao. We don't have an answer for him and basically have to pray that he missed his shots. Boozer IS ON FIRE right now, though, so I'll take this 10-2 lead. Kirilenko also needs to get his shit together because he's not being a very productive weapon out there right now.

Fun to see those 4 HR's skyrocket out of the Fenway back-to-back-to-back-to-back. I knew Willy Mo was gonna strike out though. Guy is too aggressive at the plate and has a bad habit of chasing breaking balls (which is the pitch that got the K to end the inning).

The student government is asking the media to leave campus tomorrow so they aren't in students faces when they are going to class asking "Do you feel safe here?!?! HUH? HUH?" However, I'm sure the media will refuse the request saying that they have a "right to know" what is going on.

*sarcastic Wilbon voice* Oh well, not like Cubs-Cards matters today when you have the SOX against the Yankees tonight on ESPN!
-
That missed layup was the turning point in the game as Houston took the lead and never looked back. Unfortunate loss for tbe Jazz as their inability to contain Yao in the second half resulted in many double teams that gave up wide open looks from the third point line.

I dunno if A-Rod will get to 73 but he's really on fire right now. Eventually, though, I think A-Rod will own the career HR record because I believe he will be the youngest guy to 500 HR's.

This Bulls-Heat series is going to be a pretty fun series to watch. Weird seeing Shaq getting fouled out but I see a more mature Bulls team that was able to hold off several Heat rallies to get the victory. ESPN & Reporters are busy asking Riley if he thinks the refereeing was fair, ROFL. I'll be rooting for my Utah Jazz tonight. Not too excited about having to play the Rockets in round #1 but the West is full of teams that you probably never want to get paired against anyway so we'll see how this series works itself out. I'm just glad to be back in the playoffs for the first time since Stockton left town.

Yea, I remember Tomko stealing a guy's hot dog in the front row and offering it to Viscera. My dad came with me because his friend was at the show as well and was like "I don't like that big black guy because he's humping the other guy and that's just wrong."

Does anyone have the Steve Austin & Dude Love vs. Owen Hart & British Bulldog match? I remember it was one of my top moments of RAW when the Dude debuted and Austin, Owen, and Bulldog all looked up at the Jumbotron with a "WTF?!?" look on their faces.
-
Thanks for the report cabbage. I wanted to go this show but had so much school work I had to do this weekend that I couldn't make the trip down to Louisville to see it. Also, the friends that I wanted to go see it with were at a debate tournament so that also messed up plans. Just looking at your match descriptions I agree that the card looks a helluva lot better than the Rupp Arena RAW show I went to 2 years ago (can't believe it's been that long ago) that had the first ever Cena-HHH match. That show was terrible until the second half when we got 20 mins of Carlito-Shelton, Flair-HBK, and then Cena-HHH.

I agree with all of the people who say that this guys video should not have been put on NBC. It's just disrespectful to the victims and seeing the media try to justify it makes me sick to my stomach. However, you can expect more of this kinda stuff because last night NBC pulled in a monster rating according to Drudge due to showing the footage so once again $$$$ triumphs over doing what's right.

Supreme Court Bans Partial Birth Abortion
Danville_Wrestling replied to Danville_Wrestling's topic in Current Events
Well I think the reason they refused to put the exception in there were claims that if a health expection was included it wouldn't be very well defined. I remember during debates pro-choice advocates were saying that the health exception was a large umbrella for physical, mental, and psychological health which prompted conservative House/Senate members to pass this bill without a health exception which is pretty risky if you ask me but I think that was their motivation behind it. -
http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D8...;show_article=1 It'll be really interesting how this affects the 2008 presidential election. The majority of Americans favored a ban on partial birth abortion but did not favor a ban on all abortions so the political fallout might not be as big for Democrats as expected. Nevertheless, this was a pretty interesting decision when I woke up this morning because I thought Anthony Kennedy might vote with the more liberal members on the bench.

Unreal finish to the Heritage with Weekley chipping in on the last two holes to hold off Els.

My black roomate was appalled when the pre-game had the church choir singing "Oh Happy Day" with some of the lyrics changed to say "Oh Jackie was walking tall!" He also wasn't a fan of Jesse Jackson being down on the field but he said that with baseball celebrating all of this now we'll probably be seeing big celebrations about Roberto Clemente in a few years with the growing Latino influence in the game. I don't know where Morgan was going with all of those comments about teams that had no black players. I thought the Braves had Andruw Jones? Also, I dunno what Hank was saying about "investigating" about why blacks aren't playing the game. Hmmm....maybe because they don't want to or because they see football/basketball as more popular games? I think its a testament to how much baseball has fallen off the sports map as compared to other sports that more blacks aren't taking up the game. It was nice that they had this tribute for Jackie Robinson because I respect what he did for the game but to be honest I was getting really sick of it by the middle of the week when they kept talking about it all on Sportscenter and playing the same clips every day. I think it took some of the "shine" off of the event since the MLB basically decided to declare Jackie Robinson week instead of day.
-
This ESPN game is absolutley terrible. Errors being committed very early on and I feel that all the commentary on Jackie is distracting from the game. Then again, it's keeping me tuned in from the crap on my screen.

A few new pictures of Tammy "Sunny" Sytch
Danville_Wrestling replied to Downhome's topic in General Wrestling
Well she managed the Body Donnas to the tag belts at WM 12 and after they lost them to the Godwinns she got on board with that for a few days. However, she was playing the Godwinns to get the belts on the Gunns two days after they beat Skip & Zip and managed them until they lost the straps to Owen & Bulldog. Regardless of what the WWE website says, I consider her to have managed all three championship teams with the only really ambiguous part of that being the Godwinns run which they could've maybe dragged a tad longer before they dropped the belts to the Gunns but whatever. WWF TV at the time acknowledged that she was the only team to have managed three straight title teams so I guess they changed their tunel -

Well she is the only manager to manage three consecutive teams to the Tag Team Championships, an accomplishment that will probably never be repeated again. She definitely could've done more as a manager but after 1996 the WWF decided to move her to a simple interview/guest referee role and that was it. Her career was during the last era of real managers anyway as Jim Cornette was her major rival and he would also be gone from that role after 1996 as well.
