Knowing how Goldust had a lengthy house show and sometimes on-air feud with Shawn Michaels (albeit not on pay-per-view) in 1996 was there any consideration given to him for a WWF title run? I know the idea might sound crazy here in 2004 knowing that the Goldust character is out of the WWF but from its debut in 1995 to 1996 it was pretty over with the fans as a heel act. Would it have really hurt the WWF to put the belt on him in your all's minds? Just came across my mind watching an old 1996 tape yesterday.

I remember a week before the 1996 SummerSlam there was a 11 to 20 man battle royal on Monday Night Raw that Ahmed Johnson won outlasting Goldust I believe. The winner of that battle royal was supposed to go on and face whoever the WWF Champion was the night after SummerSlam. Now of course Ahmed had his kidney problem and there ended up being a four-man battle royal to fill the vacancy on like a special Raw where Goldust won eliminating Savio Vega. Nevertheless, was Ahmed supposed to win the title the night after SummerSlam? Anyone have any idea?

The funniest part of the whole SummerSlam '90 angle besides the Duggan thing was when Sensational Sherri cut an interview with Gene Okerlund after her forfeit victory where he said the following: Gene: "I don't see what's so funny about a missing person" Sherri: "I said she was missing...I didn't say anything about her being a person." Hilarious moment in WWF history.

First video was SummerSlam's Greatest Hits done by GoodTimes and featured the matches of Bret Hart vs. Mr. Perfect ('91), Undertaker vs. Kamala ('92), Ted DiBiase vs. Razor Ramon ('93), and Lex Luger vs. Yokozuna ('93). Latest video I added to my collection would have to be WrestleMaina IX. I have no reason why I bought it other than the fact I like pre-1997 WWF stuff.
