I wanna know how Zsasz liked the match.

El Hijo del Santo vs. Negro Casas -- 9/19/97 vs. Rey Misterio Jr. -- 1997 Promo Azteca vs. Negro Casas vs. El Dandy -- 12/6/96 w/ Negro Casas vs. Rey Bucanero & Ultimo Guerrero -- 2000 CMLL TV vs. Blue Panther (???) Yeah, that's good stuff, too.

Uh... well, he wasn't in the main event... y'know.

What exactly is with all the SD! hate nowadays? At one point it was really, really horrible, but right now it probably better than RAW. The JBL/Taker program has sucked, but Angle/Eddie, the US Title picture, and the Spike heel turn have all been really good. RAW has the Diva search shit, a hastily built title match, and a feud based around a guy picking on a retard. Other than the IC title stuff, nothings really any better.
-
It looks like a pretty good card overall. I'll probably get it sometime after I read reviews and all that. JBL/Taker, Benoit/Orton, and Eddie/Angle all look really good.
-
X-7... The others don't compare.

Those Guapo shirts from highspots are ugly and only come in one size. If your not afraid of the outrageous shipping from Mexico, cmllshopping.com has much better ones.
-
I bought the Benoit DVD the other day and watched the Nitro match. I concede, it's about as awesome as ray said.
-
Really? That's neat. As a mark during NWO's heyday, I loved Malenko and hoped every Nitro that'd Malenko'd come out, challenge Hogan, and use his "actual wrestling moves" to end Hogan's title reign.
-
You liked Orton/Edge from whatever PPV that was. I no long respect your opinion when it comes to wrestling. I used to, but no more.
-
There you go. Now you know. Actually, Rrrsh's answer is right.
-
You weren't quoting me, but I'll defend Taker anyday. You lose a million points for using that pathetic name. Haven't seen... can't comment. I actaully forgot about this match. It wasn't reall good, but it was good. It was great. Really great. Cena/Taker never sucks. My WWE MOTY last year. Just really, really awesome. Taker/JBL will be great. It just has to. As for the "MMA" Taker, his becoming the deadman hasn't changed his wrestling style much at all.
-
Exactly. He's had, what?, maybe two bad matches since Vengance last year--I believe that's when he started his hot streak. Survivor Series with Vince and Wrestlemania with Kane both sucked, but that was about it.
-
Ask DEAN, it's his pet name. I doubt I'd actually get a straight answer. The only thing I know about it is from hearing somewhere that Fujinami created the style and the Osamu Nishimura is suppossed to be continuing the legacy or something like that... Edit: From Dory Funk Jr.'s site: So... like basic old-school 70's style wrestling? That's sounds about right.

WWE News: Sable's Release, Foley, Hurricane, More

Anyone else think this is very physcologically unhealthy? JBL/Taker will be awesome. Taker hasn't had but, like, one bad non-squash match in the past year and JBL's matches with Eddie have been really good. -
It was neat for the Olympic theme, but I'm not sure I'd actually like to see it on a regular basis.
-
And as mentioned on another board, he may take part in this storyline with Jimmy Snuka Jr. and Mark Magnus that was thought to be in the works awhile ago. The Arabian Gimmick... That's pretty much what I was thinking.
-
I like "Mugataker" (what exactly does "muga" mean? I believe it has something to do with Tatsumi Fujinami, right?). I like Orlando Jordon. I expected to like this. It was good, really good. Made me with I could tape UPN good. I missed Cena/Taker from a while back but this was almost as good as that sounds.
-
So... who exactly is this?
-
Well, if YOU said it, then it sooo must be true. I believe the correct pronunciantion would be "poo ro reh suu" because of how the Japanese language works. It's suppossed to be "pro-wres," it's just not possible to spell it that way in Japanese. Please, if you actually knew anything about the Japanese language, you would know they prononunce the"u" sound VERY lightly, to the point it's pretty much like the silent k in knight. Now, take the u's out of puroresu. What are you left with? I like you, you're acting like an ass for nothing. Anyways, I'll stop arguing with you, as you are pretty much right. I already knew about the "u" thing, but I didn't really bother to think about it. Pronouncing it phonetically wouldn't be comepletey wrong, but your way is the much better (and easier) way. You win, I lose. Now get whatever the fuck that thing is outta your ass and we'll both be happy.

Now THAT is a Team Mexico. Why not bring in both a Rudo and Technico team from Mexico? Rudos could be Guerreros de Inferino, Nicho, Zumbido. The Technicos could be Hijo de Santo, Shocker, Mascara Magica, L.A. Park! Replace Magica with Blue Panther and I may have to worry about the cleanliness of my pants... yeah. and then hate TNA for leaving Nashville.
-
LA Park, Nicho, Ultimo Guerrero, & Rey Bucanero for the new Team Mexico would be awesome possum.

They had 4 or 5 Nitro matches. In the 10/16/95 debut, Eddie lariats the ringpost on the outside and kills his arm. Benoit tears the crap out of it when they get back in the ring. Eddie makes a comeback, but then he screws up and punches Benoti with the injured arm and screams in pain. Benoit's like a shark sniffing blood with that and tears into it again. He wins the match with a Dragon Suplex, which Eddie had countered earlier in the match, but can't now as his arm is dead. I loved how they worked that injury in, as they made it seem like a random thing that happened in the middle of a match. Great thing to add to make the match more special. Bah! Shit! For some reason, I thought they only had one Nitro match... y'know since everybody lables the one match as such. You're match sounds much better. The one I have has Eddie winning with a backwards frog splash from the middle rope.

CMLL's 2000 PPV with Atlantis/Villano III Mask vs. Mask is a really great show. The main event is off the hook awesome. AAA's When World's Collide has an okayish mini match, an average trios match, a mostly comedy trios match--although the parts with Benoit and Blue Panter are great. We never did get a Benoit/Panther single match--, an awesome tag match (Eddie Guerrero/Art Barr vs. Santo/Octagon Double Hair vs. Double Masks), and a crappy, overbooked-to-hell main event. Other than that, you're mostly looking at TV stuff. There's no real source for good lucha shows, though. Of recent Galavision, Shocker/Park/Vampiro vs Guerrero/Bucanero/Crazy from a few months ago is my favorite. Dr. Wagner is great when he's not being lazy. Black Tiger III/Silver King isn't quite as good as his brother, but he's less lazy. El Hijo del Santo is my own personal god. Atlantis has fallen with age, but is still great. Same with Blue Panther. Greatest.mat.worker.ever, though. Los Guerrero del Infierno is the most awesome team since Los Gringos Locos. Ultimo Guerrero bring the Japanese suplexes and big moves, Rey Bucanero brings the old-school luchaness, and Tarzan boy is good, too. Black Warrior has the best tope in all of wrestling. Mr. Niebla is great, hes moves way better than you'd think he would by looking at him. I'm sure you know of L.A. Park. Shocker's awesome, one of my favorites. Just watch a Niebla match. Atlantis/Panther have been doing some neat double team submission stuff recently.
