I really expected the people on that list to be way bigger than that.

WRESTLER OF THE YEAR Chris Benoit Benoit's brought the good to great wrestling all year. That is what counts. TAG TEAM OF THE YEAR Others London & Kidman. Great, out of nowhere title win and TV time for London. Good stuf.. NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR Luther Reigns Damn hasn't a good wrestler debuted this year? MOST IMPROVED WRESTLER John Bradshaw Layfield Tough choice, as my first thought was to vote for Christian, Orton, or Batista. Then I realized that Bradshaw has went from "Find something else to do why he's wrestling" to "I'm buying this just to watch JBL wrestle!" He's just gotten good. Great matches with Eddie and a perfectly fine match with 'Taker. FINISHER OF THE YEAR Other Batista's Clothesline and Powerbomb. Getting hit with one of those equal death... and they look better than the Pedigree. ANGLE OF THE YEAR The new Bradshaw I love the new Bradshaw character, his journey to the title, and his subsequent attempts at keeping it. FEUD OF THE YEAR Eddie Guerrero vs John Bradshaw Layfield I guess, technically, Foley/Orton was better, but this one brought the better wrestling. MATCH OF THE YEAR Other Brock Lesnar vs. Eddie Guerrero (No Way Out) How can this classic not be listed? TV MATCH OF THE YEAR Chris Benoit vs Shawn Michaels (Monday Night RAW - April 2004) Best match on the ilist. Couildn't think of anything else. PAY-PER-VIEW OF THE YEAR Summerslam 2004 My favorite PPV this year, definately. The really fun 6-Man tag, Kane/Hardy, Eddie/Angle, Taker/JBL, and Orton/Benoit really made this a good one.

I give it another year or so. Oh... and the whole roast beaf-eating cops thing. That's awesome.

No, because then you'd get stuck in the mindset of only looking after a particular look. And that's their biggest problem when it comes to new talent. By only being interested in a certain 'look', ie big and jacked to the gills, when it comes to people they'll give big pushes to, WWE have great limited their options. If Vince were open minded enough to look for a mix of looks, then he'd probably be in much better shape, because he'd have more choice when it comes to who to push. As it is, he only has one real choice: big. Anything else only gets chosen out of desperation. I'm not saying that way is right... just that it would make more sense then what they're going for. I know, but it said a minimum of that size. Just knowing the WWE, they're looking for the next 'Taker instead of the next Angle or Austin--size wise.
-
well... Austin wasn't really all that big. Wouldn't it make more since to try and model new guys after their biggest star ever?

That match kind of sucked. There's much better wrestling on that show. I reviewed that show... let me see.... Personally, I love the Hustle shows. Some of the wrestling is good and it's usually a good show anyways.

No Mercy PPV.. Looks Good/Bad?.. Discuss It Here.

Meltzer's preview. Is it ok to think Meltzer's a complete moron with really bad taste in wrestling? -
The reply thingies made my brain hurt.

Don't get me wrong, Satanico is a great brawler, but when he runs the ropes he looks really, really old. I've seen Universo run the ropes and hit dives too. Not often, but he does sometimes.
-
Well, he's definately the best out of his brothers. I haven't seen him tag with Dantes much, he mostly tags with Mascara Ano and Cien Caras--who he always looks much, much better than. ...and Satanico can run the ropes? Since when?
-
I'd just like to mention that Combat Toyoda is my personal goddess and that I love the fuck out of that match. I think I wrote a longish review of that match somewhere. It's definately one of my favorite matches ever.
-
Ah... come on... Universo is a perfectly acceptable wrestler. He doesn't need to be put in the same group as the rest of those guys.
-
Then you're really going to need a good video card. I'm pretty sure the integrated graphics accelerator in those systems won't be anywhere near able to handle gaming.
-
That's great stuff, dude. We need more jobber skits, though. Will you be doing Heat and Velocity?

It's going to be really hard to get my girlfriend to watch Hero if it's subtitled. I haven't gotten her to watch Once Upon a Time in China or Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon yet because of that.
-
So... this is the same thing that airs on Galavision here in the States. Well... I hope you love 20 minute matches clipped down to about 10 minutes. Don't get me wrong, I love CMLL and I try to watch it every weekend... but the clipping is horrible stuff. EDIT: At least ya'll won't be about three months behind.

I haven't seen everything here, but... about sums it up.

I don't really know if this is for current workers or what so... TWO lists! I don't watch much indy wrestling, sadly. Current: Val Venis Rey Bucanero Paul London Kensuke Sasaki Yoshihiro Takayama All Time: El Hijo del Santo (Would have been in the current list, but none of his current stuff actually makes tape). Chris Benoit Jerry Lawler Blue Panther Shinya Hashimoto

Awesome! I was a huge Malenko mark, too. In--I believe--sixth grade, my teacher made us write an essay on who'd we'd most like to be. Mine was about Deano. Yeah.. glorious mark days. Never did get to see Malenko vs. Hogan for the WCW Title.... Anyways, I believed wrestling was "real" until '97 when "Wrestling with Shadows" and all the like started. I was still a mark untill about two years ago, though. I blame Scott Kieth. Fucker....

The second system looks to have a better video card. I don't know how much better or anything but... yeah. Also, does Dell offer any decent systems with a Celeron processor? Unless you're going to be gaming or video editing you'll probably never actually need a P4 processor. A system with a Celeron would be quite a bit cheaper--or you could spend the extra money on upgrades. A decent hardware video card wouldn't hurt. EDIT: Just looked it up. You could get the 2400 with a Celeron processor for about $100 less. More than likely, you won't notice the difference.

Y'know, it's ok to have opinions and all, but.... BWAHAHA! That's some funny shit, dude.

Promo Azteca 2/21/97 A really fun little show. Only three matches, but they range from good to watchable to great. The first match is an eight-man tag in which the only people I know are Super Calo, Halloween, Damien, & Juventud. Fun match, though. Really neat spot as they do a spot where everyone misses a splash on another guy, then everyone runs the ropes, then the technico's all hit dives on the rudos. Halloween takes a really sick bump to the concrete floor at the end of the first fall. One of the technico's starts a fight between Halloween and his partner Damien. Fun, but nothing to write home about. Second match was Konnan, La Parka, and some guy vs. Misterioso, Psicosis, and Cien Caras. Crowd heat and comdey spots made this watchable. Third match is awesome. Rey Misterio Jr. vs. El Hijo del Santo. First fall is all about the beautiful lucha matwork, in the second fall they start flying and hitting big moves, and in the third fall they prentend they're in All Japan as Santo tries to slap on the la de a caballo (Camel Clutch) while Rey does everything he can to avoid it. Good, good stuff. One of my favorite matches every.

Another way to associate Dave Matthews with shit

That's awesome. That'd be one of those stories you'd tell your grandchildren... "Did I ever tell you a about the time it rained shit?"
