The OaO Arrested Development Season 3 thread
Placebo Effect replied to Gary Floyd's topic in Television & Film
When you consider that Stacked was only renewed because it went well with The Simple Life (which got canceled), it's not all that cushy of a spot. -
I don't think the fuckers are even paying Romero a dime. Whatever. I don't watch theatrical films 99% of the time, so Hollywood (and honestly, I don't see this hitting theatres wide) can do whatever it wants.

You now watch Arrested Development. Just accept it.

Vince/WWE vs. Wrestling New Sites/Net Fans
Placebo Effect replied to Downhome's topic in The WWE Folder
You know, I'd rather have an off the wall awful company than a mediocre company, so bring it on Vince. -
If I remember correctly, he crashed his car drunk driving, and when the cops found him a couple hours later, he said he went to look for bull frogs.

I love matches like this, because it shows just how insane Russo was when booking WCW. Not only is it taking place on free TV, but it's a match that combines two different gimmicks, has a special referee, AND lasts less than six minutes.
-
Nothing wrong with Phone Booth. Everything else, yeah, meh to garbage.
-
I dislike the character because of everyone on the show, he's the only one who is one-dimensional. We saw characters like Duncan and Logan become likeable, vulnerable, etc. throughout the first season, but Lamb is just a prick at all times.
-
There's no reason for it not to be in the Top 5. Chicken Little and Jarhead will be 1 and 2, and I don't see Zorro getting good word of mouth. I've heard great things about Saw II from tons of people.
-
Luckily for everyone though, they're still sticking with "The War at Home"! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The new episodes aren't ready. I imagine filming a show like Prison Break takes more than a week, which is the schedule most shows run on.
-
This will be the first RAW to ever fall on a Halloween, by the way.
-
Yeah, but more because he was managed by Russo than anything.
-
He's not that bad. Plus, Hoyt's a big, imposing guy. Someone going over him means a hell of a lot more than an X Division guy.

If Vince Made a Best of Starrcade DVD

Brian Adams & Scott Norton vs. Fit Finlay & Jerry Flynn - Starrcade '98 -
Considering you're writing it from memory, you did fine. Jarrett nailed Puppet with a chair when he brought out the gun, by the way.

I can't believe they trotted Ko Ko B. Ware out on Heat in black clothes and without a God damn bird.
-
It's directed by James Wong, who was behind The One and the original FD, so expect some stylistic, insane death scenes with nothing much between them.

In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale
Placebo Effect replied to Downhome's topic in Television & Film
Dorff has no career. Look at the past five years of his career. Cecil B. Demented - Indie flick by John Waters. Deuces Wild - A bomb that was passed on by everyone. Steal - Designed to go DTV feardotcom - Another bomb that was passed on by everyone. Cold Creek Manor - Supporting role. -
It's not happening.

In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale
Placebo Effect replied to Downhome's topic in Television & Film
He doesn't cast his films until days before shooting is supposed to start. Thus he finds people who have multiple week holes in their schedules and want some extra cash. -
An average episode this week, although average means much better than most shows on TV. I'm kind of starting to care about Wallace at the very least.

That was one hell of a b-movie. Pretty much exactly what it should have been. What I loved was that you could tell the people involved with the movie were having the time of their lives. There are so many movies, especially when it comes to those made-for-video, that are just languid. Santa's Slay is just fun to watch if you're not a film snob. Hanukkah light usage was fantastic. AWESOME The red Xs next to the people who died and the green presents next to those who lived was a nice touch. That outtake with Goldberg hopping on the table was great too. This comes out via Lions Gate right around Christmas.

Stolen from some dude on tv.com

I don't play video games, so I care more about how the game is marketed and sold than whether or not its a great game.

I love Doring and all, but from his appearance on Velocity, he still looks like a jobber with no muscle mass.
