  1. A girl who's making a passing comment on a personal message board which, up until then, only her devoted fans knew of? And if what you said is true about her having implants, doesn't that tell you a bit about her self-confidence? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, not at all. When girls get D cup melons, it's not generally as a result of insecurity. Insecurity leads to full C's or less. Huge implants come from career aspirations of some sort for the most part.
  2. A pretty girl who is a pretty receptionist can be insecure. I don't know what Melina did before the Diva Search, but I guarantee her beauty played into it. And now she's a Diva. For the past six months she's been in a profession where everyone around her (the audience, for example) showers her with praise for it. I seriously doubt she's insecure.
  3. I really don't know what to say after reading the whole thing. Melina's probably going to be punished for this outburst but her humility line I bolded above really took me by surprise. This girl has more humility to her than I imagine a number of the other divas have. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Meh. That's something many beautiful women will say and not actually mean. Sure, she's probably a nice girl. But she's got balloon implants, a sunbed tan, and has probably had some sort of work done. She knows she's pretty.
  4. My God that new opening video is awful.
  5. Depending on the budget they could send it direct-to-video and still pull in a profit since it would then run theatrically internationally.
  6. What's sad is that I'm watching the second episode of Sex, Love, & Secrets and it's not too bad. It's quirky, and the lack of that is what causes me to dislike The O.C.
  7. Fucking sweet.
  8. No on all counts.
  9. I'm looking forward to seeing how this unfolds. You're absolutely right about Dick. I'm thinking she'll wind up getting some sort of revenge on him through an investigation later in the season.
  10. I'm loving the season so far. The hokey ending to tonight's episode ("Shred everything!") was great. One question though.
  11. Killer Instinct isn't all that bad now that I've seen the first episode. The two leads just aren't very good, which is a death touch for show. The awesomeness of Jeffrey Nordling as the killer helped it out a bit, although Chi McBride without the Boston Public goatee just doesn't work.
  12. For those wondering about Kitchen Confidential But who the fuck cares about K.C. when there's not one, but TWO episodes of Arrested Development?
  13. No, not really.
  14. Another fun episode tonight. "Women in the workplace are equal. So if I let them out first, I've got a lawsuit on my hands." "Present company included... Pam." "Pam." "It's called Who'd You Do." "I play this all the time when I'm falling asleep."
  15. To sum up much of this thread... Bob Holly over anyone prior to 1999.
  16. AM Raw?
  17. Lesson to be learned from this. You really don't want to piss Vince off. I'll TiVo it just to see the Boogeyman debut.
  18. There's that that is the UK artwork and it'll be something different for the US version, but since WWE distributes their own stuff, it may stick for all regions.
  19. Bob Holly over Pillman, I believe during the dress phase. Bob Holly over Owen Hart in Holly's hometown, simply because Owen was a nice guy. For some reason Hogan put Jacques Rogeau over at an untelevised Canadian show. Brooklyn Brawler winning that MSG Battle Royal to win a shot at Shawn Michaels.
  20. I'm not reading the spoilers, but I just want to get in first to remind the people who do to please make sure they use the spoiler tags when bringing anything pertinent up in the other threads.
  21. I know people like that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's been me, just I've kept up on things because of places like this site.
  22. When sci-fi nerds attack.
  23. I wouldn't worry about it for now. VM premiered last season to the same numbers that it has received the last two weeks (a 2.3 or so). Especially now that it's against Lost, which UPN should know it's not competing with anytime soon, VM is probably secure. That is, of course, assuming the numbers don't dip. A 2.0 is acceptable for UPN, especially for a critically-praised show. Those stupid UPN sitcoms usually grab 2.4s, and they can't be put on every night of the week.
  24. Figured I'd make this just for the hell of it. So far we've had the confirmed cancellations of... Just Legal (WB) - A decent law dramedy that was never going to find an audience after freakin' 7th Heaven. Canceled after two weeks. Head Cases (FOX) - You know a show's ratings are disastrous when reruns of Nanny 911 build upon the previous week. The first thirty minutes of the pilot was just A-W-F-U-L, nearly leading me to just delete it. Most TV audiences aren't as forgiving as me, so that probably sealed its fate. Likely canceled... Inconceivable (NBC) - Yet another show that looks to be gone after two episodes. I saw those episodes a couple weeks ago on a screener DVD from NBC, and was really expecting to enjoy it. I thought it would a David E. Kelly-like dramedy with quirky characters and imaginative storylines. The stories were fun, but the characters were crap, and so was timeslot. Production's been stopped, leaving NBC time to "reevaluate" the show, so yeah, it's gone. Sex, Love, & Secrets (UPN) - Did anyone else actually know the show existed? The advertising made it out to be a Denise Richards-lead drama, which isn't true, and even if it was that's a shitty marketing campaign. The star is Eric Balfour, from the TCM remake, the failed Hawaii, and long guest spots on 24 and Six Feet Under. Balfour is ratty, so it's hard to buy him as either a hairdresser or a former marketing man. The second episode got a terrible 1.1, and production has apparently stopped. I had some empathy for Sex, Love, & Secrets after the decent pilot, but Jesus Christ did they copy Desperate Housewives. There's a voiceover by a Mary Alice Young-sounding woman that tries to make the show out to be more intelligent than it actually is that is just annoying. Kitchen Confidential may have stopped production, but I won't write its obituary until I know for certain.
