  1. No it's not. Let him post what he wants, it's fine.
  2. From cinemablend.com- Sam Jackson has come out in support of something I’ve been bitching about for years. Sam and I agree… strippers who don’t strip suck. His new movie Lakeview Terrace apparently has a big bachelor party scene with three strippers in it. Unfortunately Sam tells ShowBizSpy, “But it is a PG movie, so there aren't any titties. We have three strippers at the party, and none of them have their top off.” It’s not just that they don’t show any nudity, apparently there’s not even any implied nudity. Sam complains, “How does that work? I'm like, come on! You could show the girl from the back, with her back bare. At least it gives a sense that she was naked. You can't just show them in their bras and panties. You have forty drunken cops in a house with three strippers? And nobody is naked? I don't f***ing think so!” That does seem like a strange decision. Lakeview Terrace is actually PG-13, so showing a few bare backs at least definitely wouldn’t have hurt the rating. I’m not saying every movie needs to have nudity, but if you’re not going to have any nudity, then why write in characters whose profession it is to be naked? Maybe the bachelor party could have rented some of those gigantic, padded sumo suits, or brought in an inflatable bounce castle instead. Hollywood continues to be the only place in the world where strippers don’t actually do any stripping. Way to be realistic. Cut it out. Sam needs boobies, and I think he deserves them.
  3. People don't vote for the veep though, so I don't think McCain will drop her. This is the problem with picking an unknown- no one knows any skeletons, so when they are all announced at once, it just makes her look bad. Once she survives the next two weeks, I think she'll be fine. The Republicans won with Quayle, why not with this woman? There's enough states that Republicans will win, and enough states that they'll be competitive in, that dropping out wouldn't work. Biden's had his share of follies, but since everyone knows him and knows about that, it's not as bad. Republicans don't like McCain anyway, so let him fail. If anything, this probably makes Republicans feel vindicated about picking W. over McCain in 2000.
  4. It's a good thriller. I remember reading something about Cheadle's character being a Muslim, didn't realise how central it would be to the plot. Steve Martin came up with a great story. The movies tend to do very well overseas (and they say Americans are stupid), so Disaster Movie is well on its way to making a profit. I think the lesson is not to oversaturate the market, so hopefully they will scale them back. The movie was made from April to June, which is a crazy turnaround. House Bunny was fine. A bit too sappy at times, and I don't know if I bought Faris as a sexpot, but it was a fun way to kill 90 minutes. I love Emma Stone and Kat Dennings, so that made it very enjoyable. And Colin Hanks! That and Sex and the City. Every summer there's a few breakout female-geared hits, and everyone goes: Wait, women go to movies too? Warner Bros was going to dump The Women next week, but because of SATC and Mamma Mia, they're actively marketing it.
  5. No. Cena's the most over person in the company. He gets insane heat for everything he does. He sells the most merchandise, he's the backbone of the house show business, he's the face of the company. He's not turning heel, and if he did, it would be a very bad business move. This is what I said. I never once said he wasn't over! The WWE has been actively marketing to kids recently, and Cena and Rey are right up there. If the WWE's demographic is that, and Cena is a black hole to them, explain how business has been great with Cena on top. I like this. You make idiotic points and then are like: Well you can't argue this and I can't be wrong so, hah. You have your opinion. I have my opinion that your opinion sucks. Works both ways.

    The Pit

Weird, I was at the Pit this morning, waiting to see the debate over the Palin pregnancy. While I stopped posting there after the awful new layout, if Ill just closed it with no warning, that's a pretty dick move.
  11. I'm a sucker for thrillers, so I really liked the film. Cheadle was great. I love that the marketing totally ignores the Muslim aspect of the movie.
  12. Unfortunately, the movie probably made back its entire budget already. Edit: I can't take that movie, Traitor, seriously. I'm used to Don Cheadle being in dramatic films (Traffic, Hotel Rwanda, Reign Over Me, Crash). To see him be the lead in an action flick is just mind boggling. Cheadle = total miscast! It's not an action flick, dumbass. It's a thriller, and Cheadle gives a very good performance.
  13. This didn't warrant an exclamation point. He was heel in 98-99, at the peak of the WWE. So no, creative is not too much of pussies to do it. The thing with Taker is that fans love the guy, that they just wouldn't want too boo him. They'd have to expand so much effort on turning him heel that it wouldn't be worth it in the end. It's not that their pussies, they're just not stupid. Plus, he's feuding with Vickie Guerrero, the most hated person in WWE.
  14. Orton's not officially back wrestling, so it's not as if the motorcycle accident was false. Plus, St. Louis is his hometown.
  15. People need to realise that Sid sucks. Of course when he does come back, people will start talking about how he sucks or how WWE is misusing him.
  16. I liked that match with Festus a lot. Shelton's been killing it on Smackdown recently. He seems motivated again, and I like that they're giving him long matches and a chance to shine.
  17. Now, now. We have a shift button for a reason. I don't understand why anyone would stay this time. Bunch of idiots.
  18. I subscribe to the WON (the print version), so if there's anyway I can help, let me know.
  19. Why not? Most of the polls in 2004 were generally accurate. If you look at RCP's electoral predictions for 2004, they only got Wisconsin wrong. So I would trust the polls. I believe their current electoral count has Obama just slightly over the top.
  20. That just makes it worse. I liked the pick initially, but this doesn't help matters.
  21. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080901/pl_nm/...litics_palin_dc Come on, Republicans.
  22. WWE SMACKDOWN: - HHH will face the Great Khali in the main event. Shelton Benjamin, MVP, Jeff Hardy and THE Brian Kendrick will be Lumberjacks. - HHH comes to the ring and gets a great ovation. Shelton follows, proclaiming that he is the gold standard, which doesn't impress HHH. He then challenges Shelton to another match, but this brings out MVP and THE Brian Kendrick. HHH takes a beat down and then Jeff Hardy makes the save momentarily, but gets beat down as well. HHH then gets a chair and clears the ring. - R-Truth defeated Bam Neeley. Truth sang his theme song and came through the crowd. - The Undertaker cuts a promo on Vickie, promising to put her in a coffin and burn it. - Shelton Benjamin defeated MVP - Maryse defeated Maria - THE Brian Kendrick defeated Jeff Hardy with help from Zeke. - Super Crazy defeated Ryan Braddock - Vladimir Kozlov comes to the ring and demands a challenge. The Big Show comes to the ring, and as they are about to battle, Vickie Guerrero puts a stop to it. - Vickie cuts a promo saying that she is not afraid of the Undertaker. - Brie Bella defeated Victoria after the twin switch again. - HHH and Hardy backstage segment. - HHH defeated the Great Khali with the pedigree after Jeff Hardy took out the rest of the lumberjacks. Jeff congratulates HHH, and then lays him out with the twist of fate.
  23. DARK MATCH: - Jimmy Wang Yang defeated Go Shiozaki w/Tony Atlas - The arena is nearly full. WWE RAW: - In Memory of Killer Kowalski - Randy Orton is here! He runs down CM Punk and all of the Raw champions and calls Raw a joke, which brings out Punk. They have some back and forth and Orton leaves, and the Scramble competitors all end up in the ring, minus Rey as Kane says he is still dead. Batista hands out a spear buffet, which all leads to an announcement of World Title Scramble Battle Royal Preview Match for later. - Kofi Kingston defeated Charlie Haas, dressed as John Cena - There will be a Shawn Michaels/Chris Jericho contract signing tonight. - Randy Orton meets with Ted Dibiase and Cody Rhodes. Their meeting ends with Orton slapping Rhodes. - Mike Adamle announces an ECW Scramble Battle Royal Preview - Mark Henry wins the ECW Scramble Battle Royal Preview - Jamie Noble w/Layla defeated William Regal, Layla was impressed with Noble's victory. - Kelly Kelly, Mickie James and the Returning Candice Michelle defeated Jillian Hall, Katie Lea and Beth Phoenix. Candice Michelle showed off her thong in celebration! - Santino Marella defeated D'Lo Brown after a missed frog splash - The Miz and John Morrison vs. Cryme Tyme went to a no contest as Cody Rhodes ad Ted Dibiase came to the ring and destroyed Cryme Tyme. They got their tag titles back, which Cryme Tyme had stolen. - Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase show off their titles to Orton backstage. - Kane wins the World Title Scramble Battle Royal Preview Match. No Rey Mysterio, Punk eliminates Batista and JBL, and then Kane eliminates Punk. - Rey shows up after the match and gives Kane the 619. He celebrates with the crowd. - The Shawn Michaels/Chris Jericho contract signing closes Raw. Andrew says the segment is "gold." They got in each other's face and stand like they may fight. Jericho told security to leave because Shawn won't do anything. Lance Cade tries to sneak attack HBK, but HBK is too smart for that. Jericho bails and Cade gets beat down by Shawn.
  24. Jeff's matches with MVP and Shelton have been great, as was HHH v. Shelton. And I loved Finlay v. Shelton as well.
