I guess this makes me sound like a horrible person, but I really don't care if I offend anyone since I always believe "It's just a joke." People have made fun of me and poked fun at stuff about me for years and I always shrug it off since I know they don't mean it. I'm glad you're not mad. I didn't really think anyone would be too up in arms over it, since it was just a thing tossed off at the end of my review. I've made tons of jokes some might consider offensive in my review before and no one seemed to mind. I even made a similiar joke about Lance when they announced he was hosting at another SNL MB and no one seemed to mind, so I didn't think it'd be a big deal. This might be the most intelligent thing said in this entire thread.

Hey now, this thread went off topic a long time ago. The consensus with Amy is that she's really really good at sketch comedy and is a valueable assest to the show, she just sucks at Update. It's a shame b/c her terrible Updates always lower her rep in my eyes. Horatio was pretty bad, but I will freely admit I was never going to get into him no matter what. Tina is better then Amy and usually she has some good jokes, she's just so stale and boring. The only athlete episode I really liked was The Rock. I HATED the Jeter and Roddick episodes, I only tolerated the Gordon one b/c of Avril and the Tom Brady episode sucked too. If Lance is willing to make fun of himself and shows some range, maybe they can do something good for him. Too often the show is either a recurring character fest or the host just plays himself. By that logic, you should never really joke about anything remotely offensive since someone might get all offended.

Robin can't be the mom though, since she doesn't have feelings for Ted. That's what I like about the show. Instead of having some long drawn out will they or won't they thing, we know they won't. Does it kill a lot of potential plot points? Yes. But I think it will make the show that much better when Ted finally meets the mom.

I was thinking that Robin marries Ted's brother but then I remembered that Ted calls the other people Uncle and Aunt, so... Does Robin just become a really good friend or does one of them marry the other sibling?

So am I the only one who LOVES the theme song? I don't know why but somehow in 10 seconds it manages to perfectly capture the theme and point of the show. Also I call bullshit on Ted being 27. I pictured him as 23-24. But whatever, I really love the show's central theme about reaching that age where you're officially an adult and all the sad things that seem to come with it.

Up here it airs at 9 on Sunday. Super convenient for me!

She's defintely not the mom. They've established that twice already. I mean that was the point of the pilot. That's the fun of the show, it's waiting to find out who it is. And since the show took place 25 years ago, and the kids are 15-16, they have 10 years until they have to introduce her. Last night's episode (I watch on Sundays) was light on laughs, but still told a good story. Barney was hilarious. I thought for sure the slutty pumpkin was the Hawaiian girl and was disappointed there was no payoff. The flashback with Ted losing the number was hilarious.
