Big difference though. Milli Vanilli never sung the song. Someone else did. They tried to "get the glory" from it with their "look." Someone else sang the song and they lip-synced over it. Although it was a studio manufactured piece of shit, Ashlee at least sung the original Pieces of Me. As far as I know anyway. I know that. I was just telling people what the infamous Milli Vanilli incident was.

I dunno Bob, they might figure they have no reason to re-run it and might feel really bad for her. Not to mention, doesn't it make Lorne look bad that he even allowed her to do this on a show called Saturday night LIVE? People are going to want to see it again. They reran LL a couple times when they realised how huge Debbie Downer had become. The difference between this and the Sinead O'Connor/Martin Lawrence stuff is that the other two had tons of viewer complaints and blindsided Lorne with their content so they had to edit it out. This was just funny and I don't think SNL really cares about being nice to Ashlee. They gotta show it again. People are gonna want to see it.

I always feel bad for the people in Ashlee and Hilary's band etc. You know they dreamed they were going to be doing something cool and playing awesome music but instead they have to learn the chords to Come Clean to play in front of screaming little girls every night. Gotta suck.

Britney is my ultimate guilty pleasure. I know she sucks but I can't help liking her songs and enjoying seeing her sing live

She's sang live on SNL a few times. It's always hilariously bad.

Britney had the balls to sing live on SNL. Sure she sucked but her live version of Everytime is so bad it's funny

Avril does a great voice. Listen to her sing acoustic or Christian songs- she's got a great voice. And she's been on SNL twice- no lip synching

She's not sure if she wants to do a second season but I think she's just angling MTV for more money. I don't think it will hurt her career but she's gonna become a national punchline.

She can't sing worth a shit, period, she's horrible...especially live. Then again, most new and "upcoming" pop acts don't know how in the hell to sing...because they just can't. Sickens me. Are you sickened to the core?

I have. I know I've seen her sing War before. She holds up the kid since they're probably scared shitless. They also censor Martin Lawrence's monologue and two Smigel cartoons got yanked.

In dress Sinead shows a picture of a starving child. It's a pretty good performance. I think they may show it just b/c they have to since people will be talking about it. Replacing it with a dress version would just piss off everyone.

No it won't. This isn't like she ripped up a picture of the pope. They replay Tim Robbins/Sinead all the time. They just use the dress version of 'War'. If they want to they can use the dress version.
