What will be the worst movie of 2009?
bob_barron replied to Obi Chris Kenobi's topic in Television & Film
We count it for our list purposes, and we're ranking it, so it counts. Watching them introduce our friend Tayor Swift is funny stuff though. -

I need to update my rankings Underworld, Jo Bros, Pink Panther, New In Town, Street Fighter- all worse. I thought the plane crash was pretty cool and Nic Cage movies may be bad, but they're hilarious -

Smues and I should have a bad movie off, we seem to see real gems. Also, the minute the credits hit, they should've played I Hear Voices in my Head -

I saw Knowing. It's not the worst movie of the year, but man, Nic Cage is awesome -
Get off your fat fuck of an ass and go do something with your life? Hey, I agree with you!

In their eyes, to get more star power on Raw on a consistent basis. That didn't happen last year, SD! clearly got the star power in the draft. That's because of the MyNetwork deal. Based on what I read in the Observer, it sounds like RAW is getting restocked

It is meaningless. It's a tournament designed by Bud Selig to give baseball its Olympics like hockey and basketball, only the tournament means nothing and is forcing players to spend time away from their teams to compete in a stupid tournament that apparently makes people feel jingoistic nationalistic pride for winning an exhibition. You know a tournament is awesome when you have forced pitch counts for pitchers. I'd rather Chipper Jones be with the Braves then playing for U-S-A! U-S-A-! It's that al constantly goes on and on about how much he hates Jeter. We get it, you think he's overhyped, shut the fuck up. It's annoying.

I remember last year when Smues sent out pms to the elite 8. I'd like for him to do that again

I don't mind it. The tournament is supposed to go to chalk, it ensures the best matchups It's not too good from an entertainment standpoint, though. They sell this tournament in part on the Cinderellas and the amazing upsets, which are sorely lacking this year. The Cinderella stuff is fine for the first round, and but I don't like seeing it permeate the later rounds. I'd rather the teams that were dominant all season play for the title, rather then a team getting hot in March and backing into the later rounds

That's deploreable. So you only liked the Braves when they have good players? They have a bunch of players to still root for like McCann, Escobar, Franceour, Jurggens, etc Even though the Braves haven't been great the past few years, I'm still a huge fan. In fact, the only reason my fandom has waned at all is because they're not on TBS anymore, and I don't have MLB Extra Innings

golden greek- bruiser- goldengreek- BLOW ME CUNT

You said blow me you cunt in response to Bruiser Chong pointing out that you spelled Eddy Guerrero's name while mourning him

The serial pillist really went for the obscure on this one.

Have Stephanie eat a punt. The whole "He's taking out the McMahons" angle is flawed since Stephanie's back. Legacy can always trap HHH, Orton snaps, PUNT! Then he can do his freaked out face. They also messed up by doing the don't touch rule, and then having Orton break it two days later. The best use of that was in 01, HHH v. Austin- HHH pretended to sign the contract but lied so he could beat up Austin more HHH pedigreed JR Austin stunned Stephanie
-
I don't think it needs saving. The hokey movie stuff is dumb, but the actual brawling between the two has been great. I loved the brawl in Orton's (fake) house. They need to play up the hatred more and the fact that ever since HHH turned on him, these guys do not like each other. Stephanie coming back just means that someone is gong to have to walk a dog.

That's why my subhead was Well Dunn anyway.

Not a surprise, but a full fledged return tomorrow night on Raw of (who is Meltz talking about)

f4w- Former regional and WWF tag star passes away Steve Doll, best known as part of the tag team of the Southern Rockers, passed away earlier today at the age of 44. Little details are available, although he had a major health scare a few years ago, and was taken off life support systems today. Doll & Scott Peterson were the most popular tag team in the Pacific Northwest promotion of the 80s. Later, Rex King (Mark Smith) replaced Peterson on the team. Doll & Smith were used as a prelim tag team in the WWF in 1993 under the name Well Dunn. Smith wrestled as Timothy Well and Doll s Steven Dunn. With King, they held the USWA tag team titles five times and the Northwest tag team titles four times.

Ball State's Womens Basketball Team Beats Tennessee in Tournament
bob_barron replied to Jaxxson Mayhem's topic in Sports
I remember it happened, but it's still Indiana University. I don't expect them to be that bad. I guess it's like UNC during the Doherty era or Duke that half season where Coach K bailed. -

Question for you alf- what happened to Indiana basketball this year? I totally forgot they existed until I realised they weren't in the tournament and checked their record and...wow. What's the deal? -

Not really. It was a 5 v. 12 upset which happens all the time, and by all accounts, Tennessee had a really down year
