While the acting was cringe inducing in a couple of scenes, given that they were mostly newcomers and non-professionals, I let it slide.

Also, it's time to see what Justin Pogge has. There's no point in playing Toskala anymore. He played well tonight, but the guy's horrible and won't be brought back next year, so just unload him at the trading deadline and let's see what Pogge can bring to the table. If he's not good, no big loss, they suck anyway.

That reminds me: Can Marc Crawford be banned from calling Canucks games? It's just unfair that Canuck fans had to suffer through his coaching, and now we have to hear him talk and analyse games. Go away crappy coach. Canucks are still 5 up on 9th place, so I'm not pushing the panic button yet, especially since Luongo is coming back sooner rather than later. They played well tonight, were just the victims of two unlucky bounces. That St. Louis game was a disgrace though. Rumours have the Leafs looking to trade Kaberle and Antroprov. I understanding wanting to rebuild and start over, but you can't just trade all your good players. Antroprov has finally come around after what 8 seasons of people waiting for him, and Kaberle is just awesome. Try to trade Blake for a dinner, it worked for Dave Winfield in 94.

I liked Frost/Nixon a lot, but the film just felt very dry to me. I didn't have the goosebumps I get when I know I'm seeing a great film. That said, loved Langella

Of course I'm ecstatic to get Luongo back, but many of the games that the Nucks lost without him were because they just played flat. So hopefully they get their shit together in time for his comeback. Their inability to get the puck out of their own zone is going to give me an ulcer.

I once had to speak Strachan on the phone when I worked for the Sun, I think he was drunk. At 11 in the morning. I figured the honeymoon for Sundin would be pretty short, and I think the loss to the Blues (with him in the penalty box on the GWG) certainly is going to excaberate things.

I'm liking this game, though bps is right about Bills games proving that close games aren't exciting. I'm torn- if the Ravens win, I can rub it in my friends face who suddenly decided to become a Titans fan just to be an asshole. And if the Titans win, we make fun of Marvin. I understand your position, i just didn't feel that Marvin was being too excessive, and felt his pbp was appropiate. Cowboy numbers and the other Cowboy fans are much worse. And just b/c I no longer have brown teal, doesn't mind I still won't stick up for unpopular posters.

Cowboy numbers does the same thing every week when the Cowboys play. It's not the best, but Marvin's not the first guy to do PBP- let him post about his favourite team

As Singer said himself, it isn't a documentary. I prefer no attempted accents and good acting over distractingly bad German accents. I found it distracting that everyone was writing in German, yet speaking refined English. And it also bothered me when they talked about their loyalty to Germany...by speaking English. I liked the movie, and I understand they weren't going to make a foreign film, but it just bothered me.

Cool it, Marvin. Please. His favourite team is playing. Let him be.
