  1. If Goldust didn't have natural comedic talent- the skits wouldn't have worked. And considering BookDust was never able to win a single match and they still were insanely over- that should tell you something
  2. This is just bullshit plain and simple. What a piece of shit Vince is. The guy came in, got no push but then thanks to his own ability got the crowds behind him. Remember Armageddon where they FINALLY won the tag titles? One of my favourite moments of the year.
  3. Hey- Let's fire the guy who got over on his own!!!
  4. Some girl next to me is wearing a shirt that says 'Let them eat cake.' Thought I'd point that out
  5. Didn't a lot of sponsers leave in 1999 because of the content thus negating the .16 advantage in ratings
  6. Isn't Vince technically the booker with Russo being the head writer
  7. I know- I said that earlier. They mentioned it on a RAW in Sept or October- It's on Rock's DVD: The People's Champ
  8. That was Jericho's debut in the WWF. Rocky was in the ring when the "Millenium Countdown" ended, and Jericho interrupted him to save the WWF. Those were good times. That wasn't Jericho's debut. That was when Rock and Jericho just started feuding around Survivor Series 01' and they were giving their team pep talks. It happen backstage and the whole WWF roster (non-alliance) were there. Jericho debut promo, that was great. There were TWO instances where Juvy was mentioned. Once in 99 and once in 01
  9. Stan Hooper has only being pre-empted once. (So far) The ratings haven't been great (okay- the ratings haven't bene good) but to pull a show after it INCREASES in ratings is ass backwards.
  10. That was Jericho's debut in the WWF. Rocky was in the ring when the "Millenium Countdown" ended, and Jericho interrupted him to save the WWF. Those were good times. No it wasnt It was on a RAW in October I believe
  11. From slashwrestling- RIC FLAIR is in the building. As he walks to the ring, you can't help but feel that for this day, for this moment, everything really IS okay, and everything CAN be all right. Flair hugs each person in the ring - first Dillon, then McMichael, Benoit, Malenko. When he hugs Arn the cheers continue and there can't be a dry eye in the house - there CAN'T. "Greenville, I give you the Champ." Another wave of cheering engulfs the house. Fifteen thousand people, and I guarantee you not one of them is sitting. I'm getting chills right now. "My God...thank you...thank you very much...I'm almost embarrassed by the response, but when I see this, I know that the twenty - five years that I've spent trying to make you happy every night of your life was worth every damn minute of it. Now, somebody told me that the Horsemen were having a party tonight in Greenville! Could that be true that the most elite group that Eric Bischoff said was dead is alive and well? Bischoff, this might be my only shot, and I gotta tell ya, I'm gonna make it my best. Is this what you call a great moment in TV? It's wrong, because this is REAL! This is not bought and paid for! It's a REAL - LIFE - SITUATION! Just like the night in Columbia, South Carolina, when you looked at me - tears in my eyes - and said 'God, that's good TV' - it was real! Arn Anderson passed the torch - it was real, dammit! You think Sting was crying in the dressing room like I was on TV if it wasn't real? This guy, my best friend, is one of the greatest performers who ever lived, and YOU - you squashed him, in one night. Then you get on the phone and tell me, 'disband the Horsemen, they're dead.' Disband the Horsemen, me. You know what, I looked at myself in the mirror the next day and I saw a pathetic figure that gave up and quit! And for that, I owe you, the wrestling fans, I owe these guys an apology. Because it won't happen again! [bischoff is coming out.] Bischoff, whatever you think...no, you're an overbearing asshole! That's right! You're an obnoxious, you're an obnoxious, overbearing ass! Abuse of power! You! Abuse of power! Cut me off! Come on! It's called abuse of power! You suck! You, I hate your guts. I hate your guts. You are a liar, you're a cheat, you're a scam, you are a no good son of a (mute). Fire me! I'm already fired! Fire me! I'm already fired!" Flair's coat is off but Bischoff has already walked back. Cut to black.
  12. Maybe JOTW is a spelling freak?? I was just joking anyway DH.
  13. I think it's that you spelled amount with a-m-m-o-u-n-t
  14. Yea- That's the only ROH match they had. Another one I loved from the same show was Punk v. Homicide. Yes- I'm a HUGE Homicide mark
  15. What about- Dragon v. Joe from 1st Ann Daniels v. London Homicide v. Joe Whitmer v. Homicide v. Maff v. Cabana Punk v. Raven- dog collar match Those are some matches from 2003 that I loved- just wanted to get your thoughts
  16. Maybe you should pm him Tim. I've got a question for you- You said there were four ROH **** matches- I know two of them are London v. Dragon and London v. Styles- what was the third and forth one?
  17. That's not The Rock's fault
  18. The Rock v. Jericho one was before No Mercy- Jericho was being labelled a choke artist and Rock said he doesn't lose because he always chokes- it's because he's just not very good. The difference: Jericho beat Rock on 3 PPVs
  19. Was he Prince Paul the whole time he was spamming the board with the mole's mom stuff- or was this a long time ago? I miss EVERYTHING!
  20. I've been busy writing a paper. Can someone give me the cliff notes of why Old Me is banned and why Sandman and Jay are fighting
  21. Not really. Arrested Development is also struggling and is in a better timeslot. And FOX could always redo its schedule for midseason. It doesn't look great but the show has some life left in it
  22. Well when the show debuts okay and then regains most of its audience after the CMAs are over- it shows that it is starting to earn a fanbase. Of course had they let it aired tonight- who knows what would've happened
  23. No.... The ratings for Stan Hooper in week 1 and 3 were okay. Week 2 bombed because of the CMAs. The ratings INCREASED last week proving that the show is building an audience. The show needs time to get an audience and preempting it every week is just gonna kill it off. What's the point if you're just gonna give up after 3 episodes- when the 3rd showed promise.
  24. Jackson should pull a Roman Polanski. I'm hoping these allegations are false though
  25. Wednesday, November 19, 2003 - 12:44 PM FOX Pulls Tonight's 'Stan Hooper' By Brian Ford Sullivan CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- In a last-minute programming move, FOX has yanked tonight's planned episode of "A Minute With Stan Hooper" in favor of a repeat of "That '70s Show" ("Misty Mountain Hop"). No explanation was given nor is it clear if next week's scheduled episode of "Hooper" will be yanked as well. FOX had previously announced "Hooper" will be pre-empted on December 3 in favor of a new episode of the upcoming reality series "The Simple Life" (read the story) meaning the freshman comedy will be absent from the network's schedule for at least two of the next three weeks. "Hooper's" future gets even murkier come 2004 as FOX plans to air "American Idol's" half-hour results show in "Hooper's" Wednesday, 8:30/7:30c time slot beginning January 21 (read the story). For its three airings this season, the Norm Macdonald-led comedy is averaging 6.0 million viewers. Last week's episode snagged 5.8 million viewers, an increase of 12% over its previous airing (5.2 million). Nevertheless, "Hooper" is off 21% in year-to-year comparisons for the same three-week stretch when "Cedric the Entertainer Presents" held the slot (7.6 million). Making matters worse is that lead-in "That '70s Show" is actually up 6% compared year-to-year with last year's initial Wednesday, 8:00/7:00c time slot holder "The Bernie Mac Show" (8.6 million vs. 8.1 million). FUCK YOU FOX
