  1. Verne Lundquist and Dan Dierdorf are my commentators. I miss Greg Gumbel and Phil Simms
  2. If you need more ammo- I also like the Saints
  3. I also have New England v. Buffalo. Nothing on FOX though
  4. The Devils aren't my favourite team or anything- I just remember marking out for the neutral trap in 1995
  5. Had you read the preview- you would've known that the whole show was going to be a spotfest exhibition. The matches all sounded like they were fun to watch and a new star was made in Teddy Hart. But since Ray expected Ring of Honor or something that means shitty show. I'd hate to see what happens if you watched a regular episode of TNA. Angle IS great. I don't think he carries everyone but he is the guy who got great matches out of Kane and Taker. Some people would rather watch an Angle match. Some a Benoit match- I think we've established that you can't like both. I haven't seen anyone say he's the best wrestler ever or that he's "perfect." I will say that Angle is one of my favourites and has put on many matches that I've enjoyed. But some people may enjoy watching Angle more because he entertains them overall. Then you're an idiot Ray. You could've easily found out what you were getting, not "wasted" your $10 and then not come here and commence bitching, A lot of TNA is storyline based and from my experience- knowing the storylines makes the matches a lot better. The fact that there were previews and spoilers RIGHT THERE for you to figure out exactly what kind of show you're gonna get makes me wonder about you
  6. I'm a Braves fan but Gagne has had a better season then John Smoltz did. ESPN did an article comparing the two and Gagne came out on top
  7. They did lose a one game playoff to Seattle in 1995
  8. That's what I base it on Max. No one won the division title in 1994. We disagree there but you said in an earlier post- You claim the Braves have a failure rate of 9% since they won 1 World Series in 11 seasons. During that span the Yankees and Jays have won multiple WS titles while the Marlins, Twins, D-Backs and Angels have won one title. So that means that there have teams that have failed a lot more then Atlanta in that span
  9. Unless they get in yet another squabble, it looks like Paul Simon (news) and Art Garfunkel (news) are reuniting for a concert tour. The former duo has reserved dates at concert arenas across the country, said Gary Bongiovanni, editor of Pollstar, a concert industry trade publication. And they were scheduled to make a "very special announcement" at a New York nightclub on Tuesday, publicists said. There has been talk of a tour since Simon & Garfunkel performed together to open the Grammy Awards ceremony in February, and they've done the logistical groundwork, Bongiovanni said. "Everyone's been expecting it," he said. "It was still in the speculative stages, because you never know when Artie and Paul will get in a fight and call the whole thing off." The mega-selling folk-rock duo broke up more than three decades ago and they've had a fractious relationship since. They put their arms around each other after singing "The Sound of Silence" at the Grammys (news - web sites). They've reunited periodically, most notably for a concert tour of stadiums in 1983 and for a series of shows in 1993, Bongiovanni said. The duo's publicists wouldn't say anything Friday about the announcement, to be held at the Bottom Line. The New York-bred duo, known for Garfunkel's angelic voice and Simon's writing prowess, scored hits with "The Boxer," "Mrs. Robinson" and "Bridge Over Troubled Water." Offstage, these old friends had trouble creating the same harmony. When he was inducted as a solo artist into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001, Simon said of Garfunkel, "I regret the ending of our friendship, and I hope that one day before I die we will make peace with each other. After the audience applauded warmly, Simon deadpanned, "No rush." Credit: AP
  10. Let's see- I've been a fan of the team since I was born- and that's before 1991. So I jumped on some last place bandwagon then? How are they "overhyped"? For the past few years many people have thought that their run would end- and it hasn't. I don't think they've been overhyped at all considering they weren't supposed to be this goodthis year. Winning the division title=failure? So the Braves haven't won the division title 11 times? You're right- They've won more titles then that. Including 1914, 1956, 1957, 1969 and 1982
  11. Of course there isn't a curse... They just choke. This coming from a Reds fan. Imagine if I was a Braves fan... besides um... The reds Won One more World Series and lost equal World Series... Yea- Getting to enjoy 11 straight division titles and one World Series title- It's pretty sweet
  12. WWE: Angle v. Benoit TNA: XXX v. AMW ROH: London v. Dragon Canadian Chris- I would've added London v. Styles and Homicide v. Corino to your list. I voted for London v. Dragon
  13. Which one? They had many different matches in 1993
  14. So Chris Sabin, Frankie Kazarian, Teddy Hart and Juventud Guerrera tearing down the house and delivering some of the best action TNA has seen to date=shitty wrestling. A TNA show where they put the focus on the in-ring product and not on backstage skits equates to a shitty show. Page after page, thread after thread you constantly bemoan Kurt Angle's wrestling ability. Then when someone calls you on it you claim you like him. QUOTE You act personally offended when people say they like Angle more then Benoit. Remember- for SOME people- it's not always about the workrate. Again- People could like Angle BETTER because he entertains them the most. Pro wrestling is not just about the in-ring product. It's not all about the workrate Ray. Did you know what matches you were getting? Did you know anything about the product or the storylines going in? TNA puts out those previews for a reason.
  15. I think you mean Spring Stampede 99- That's where they did the injury angle with Hogan and Goldberg makes Nash his bitch.
  16. My dream ending for Austin v. Hogan- Hogan is hulking up and he does the 'point to opponent and wag his finger thing.' Austin just flips him off, KICK WHAM STUNNER and that's it
  17. If you have DVD-Rom and Windows Media Player it's much easier to access them there.
  18. Hogan will be back- I'm almost sure of it. He'll come back next year, everyone will love him and then he'll get stale again. With Hogan v. Rock- At least Rock could actually do most of the work. If you put Austin against another legend- it could get ugly
  19. And I don't see why Austin would want to face someone like Goldberg who could cause injury. Austin did patch things up with Hogan though. Where did Austin say this? All I've heard is that he's retired with an outside shot of going one more time- I don't think it'd be safe at all and the match would probably suck
  20. But neither of them have the problems that Stone Cold has.
  21. But Stone Cold doesn't NEED the money.
  22. And what TNA gave you on Wednesday was not shitty wrestling. Yes Ray- you are an elitist. Congratulations- I didn't. I find it funny that you keep talking negatively about Kurt Angle and then backpedal and go: BUT I LIKE HIM! You act personally offended when people say they like Angle more then Benoit. Remember- for SOME people- it's not always about the workrate. You obviously ordered it for some reason but you keep avoiding the issue. I think you just ordered this show so you could shit on it
  23. Wrestlemania XX is going to make money whether they do Austin v. Goldberg or not. I don't understand why you brought up Benoit but whatever. Austin's neck is bad, Goldberg is not the safest worker on the planet and that= bad. Austin also had the perfect last match already. He doesn't need to come back
