People get Columbus Day off? It's a federal holiday at least, so I'm a fair amount of people get the day off. That's why it's perfect time to do a 4 pm game.

If they start at 8, it's too late for many East Coast fans. Today is a day off for a lot of the country, so a day game is perfect. 7 p.m. is 4 p.m. on the West Coast when many people are still at work.

Living in Toronto it was the Leafs and then everyone else, of course. The other teams seemed to exist just in case you couldn't get tickets to a Leafs game.

I think we've done this thread before, but in New York it's the Yankees....and then everyone else. Even with the Giants winning the Super Bowl, I'd say New York is still about the Yankees. I do think for a brief period in the early-mid 90s, the Knicks were able to supplant them.
