It seems that for the last 3 or 4 years, they keep saying the show has run its course, and they are going to end it and start making movies again. then they find ways to keep the show on. As a matter of fact, "The Lost City" two parter that ended season 7 was supposed to be the movie, and Atlantis was going to be on Earth. It wasn't untill they decided on making a spinn-off that Atlantis was moved to another galaxy.
I've been a Stargate SG-1 nut for a while now, ever sionce I got the Sci-fi channel on my cable. I got all of the season boxed sets (escept for season 2, which I bought all of the DVD's seperatley and saved $10, ans Season 3, which I still need to get) and regularly watch them when nothing is on. I highly recomend the show to everybody, especially Buffy fans- some of the writing and story lines remind me of Buffy at times.
