  1. The main problem with Bradshaw is he hasn't really had a breakthrough win before getting his title shot. He "earned" that by Kurt Angle giving him the shot, then had a DQ win and a pin on passed-out Eddie, which no-one actually takes seriously. I've been given no reason to see Bradshaw as a genuine title contender, and now he's the champion

No, it's only choking if you're expected to get through. We don't choke (bar the Russia game), we just lose to better teams, which sadly is 59 other nations, according to the FIFA rankings. Besides, Northern Ireland and Azerbaijan are there to give us some victories.
  4. I've seen both the Vandals and Bowling For Soup live and they were both great, Vandals especially. They're both better live than on record, although both have a worrying penchant for nudity.
  5. In fact, Spring Stampede 99 was a great PPV, not just because of the awesome Horsemen vs Raven+Saturn match. Blitzkreig vs Juvi was great, Hak vs Bigelow was a decent hardcore match, Steiner/Booker and Goldberg/Nash were both entertaining and, most importantly, Scotty Riggs finally got a gimmick, in which he was GOLD! It's only in the summer that WCW turned UTTERLY dreadful, coincidentally at the time of Sid's return.
  6. Who does commentary alongside Mick Foley on Foley's DVD for the Beach Blast match against STING

  8. I went for Eddie/Brock when I voted, I personally enjoyed it more than the WM 3-way. Overall this year, I'd go for the Hero/B-Boy match at IWA-MS Simply The Best 5 as my MOTY thus far, but I haven't seen a lot of the RoH stuff.
  9. Well, he's plucky, I'll give him that. I assume he's been banned instantly, given that he wasn't even creative enough to hide his tracks.

Liverpool on the first game of the season? I'm happy with that, especially as they're the only team that Helder Postiga scored a league goal against last season. My only worry is that Robbie Keane has been linked with a move to Man City, plus Santini has issues with Kanoute, thus leaving us with Postiga, Defoe and Rebrov as strikers, only one of whom has any kind of Premiership form.
  12. He's come out again today saying that he maintains his decision was right. UEFA are also backing his judgement, plus Meier has noted that he got loads of angry e-mails, but also ones from the Portugese fans backing him. Wonder why....
  13. Think this topic already exists... Here it is... Still voted for CZW again though.
  14. Which match? Survivor Series or the Rumble? series of course. Rumble was a let down...in front of his hometown, i'd expect Shawn to really go all out but it was a rather pedestrian ** effort...still among sid's best matches nontheless. According to SK, Shawn had serious flu at the time and nearly didn't make the match. Sid had to carry him, which explains why it didn't reach previous heights.
  15. It feels so...anticlimatic. I was expecting one last post from -iB-, a huge rant where he finally snapped and called everyone an arsehole or something similar. I guess he decided to leave with his dignity (?!?)
  16. 3 Colours Red in Nottingham on July 17th. After that, I've got nothing planned, but I'd like to think I'll go see someone else at some point.

And my work sweepstake pick of the Czech Republic looks more and more likely...excellent.
  18. Whose greatest lackey is everyone's favourite American Male, SCOTTY RIGGS (I've been wanting to link Riggs up for ages )
  19. Had some birthday money to spend, so I picked up "Diorama" by Silverchair, "Let Go" by Avril Lavigne and "Contraband" by Velvet Revolver for £18, which is pretty bargainarific, Silverchair only costing £3. REALLY digging Velvet Revolver, Silverchair was a nice surprise, as it got terrible reviews when it came out, but is in fact a pretty decent pop-rock album, and Avril is good enough, especially for £5.

Moving balls, eh? I'm sure Gary McAllister can empathise with you... In all seriousness, I felt so sorry for Darius Vassell. He looked broken after the game, and his penalty was arguably better taken than Lampard's or Owen's, it's just the keeper got lucky.
  21. Who may start being cool again, now that STEVEN RICHARDS has returned. P.S. Thanks again LuchaFan-it's nice to know someone reads them. I'm literally finishing a Cage of Death V review now, but I've got some recent IWA-MS stuff I'm looking to do in the coming weeks.
  22. He was the referee in the England-Portugal game last night and controversially disallowed an England goal in the 89th minute, which was 100% clean. He also looks like the bad guy from Police Academy 7:Mission To Moscow, and has brown hair, with a goatee beard, which is as uncool as it gets. He's pretty much public enemy #1 in England, and my colleagues at work have all been e-mailing him to abuse him. He's probably a hero in Scotland though.
  23. "Nazi Punks Fuck Off" by the Dead Kennedys Equally good as the Napalm Death cover, the strange thing is it came free on a Kerrang! CD, which also features New Found Glory, Blink 182, LTJ, Yellowcard, RBF and Brand New, but, as I'm a sucker for punk-pop goodness, it's a great free gift. It's just this song REALLY sticks out from the rest.
