Created this early, as its been an early start to the Olympics, Britain has kicked arse in the Rowing this morning, taking a Gold, Silver and a Bronze, it feels fucking great with all these medals pouring in, as compared to the first 3 days, when we were stuck on 2 medals for ages, now we are 11th in the medal table, here is how the medal table stacks up now. The show is highlighted by a superb battle for the vacant IWGP World heavyweight title. Bob Sapp, the previous champ, vacated the title after losing to Kazuyuki Fujita in devastating fashion a couple of weeks earlier at a K-1 MMA show. Fujita wrestles the number one contender for the belt, the excellent Hiroshi Tanahashi. Also, don't miss the final match on the show, which was actually the opening bout on the card, as WWE's Ultimo Dragon teams with the 16-year-old sensation, Katsuhiko Nakajima. More NOAH coverage from 2001. The highlight of the show is a strong six-man match featuring Zero-One's Shinjiro Ohtani. Be sure to watch tonight's Bagpipe Report as I'll have an announcement about the future of NOAH on TWC. Three matches on this week's GAEA (which was taped on January 25th, 2004). Watch the cocky unit of Yu Yu and Uematsu as they continue in their pursuit of the AAAW World tag team titles (held by Chikayo Nagashima and Meiko Satomura) as well as GAEA's top two younger wrestlers in tag action as Meiko Satomura and the great Ayako Hamada jin forces. This week's Japan Classics (Saturday night @ 9pm) will feature Flying Scorpio & Pegasus Kid vs. Akira Nogami & Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger. This is our first look at Chris Benoit on the show, and he takes part in a superb tag team match. DON'T miss that one. And finally, don't forget to check out New Japan's Super J Cup '94 this Sunday at 8pm. No sell job necessary.

That was fucking hilarious, I saw the whole game, and words cannot do it justice, the Americans were just so cocky on that court and the Puerto Ricans fucking OWNED them, and America didnt know how to deal with it, all they could do was whine at the ref, I think you should rename them to the Nightmare team, cos there wasnt much fucking dreaming going on in that match -
Please help, Im running a laptop using XP Professional, I've just bought a Terminator Dongle, and I just cant get it to run for shit, it connects via the serial port, but for some reason the software just wont detect it, just claims its not attached

To me, the thing that made the first thing great about Predator 1, when I first saw it(God, I feel old now), was the fact that you didnt have one fucking clue what he looked like, only glimpses until the very end of the film when Arnie had to resort to primitive methods, AVP will fail because the mystique of the Predator has gone, and all you have for a movie is lots of nice CGI which is cool to look at, but ultimatly soulless, this will be a throwaway movie, and not what it could be which is a total shame.
-
Good god, theyve gone for Freddy vs Jason syndrome, 1 hour of annoying human beings that no one gives a fuck about, and 20 minutes of what we paid our fucking ticket money for, Aliens beating the shit out of Predators, WHEN WILL THEY FUCKING LEARN!

American TV censorship reaches new Highs/Lows
Vanhalen replied to Vanhalen's topic in Television & Film
They did a little bit on this on the radio this morning, mostly laughing at the people in charge for being so prudish, but they had a Scrabble champion on, and apparantly any word in the Oxford English Dictionary is allowed(www.oed.co.uk), it doesn't matter how offensive. -
Good little article I found on bbc.co.uk/news, surely if either party uses it(and I know theres been mentions, but nothing really overt), is any subject taboo?

And of course, ISS Soccer 1 or 2

According to Dave Meltzer in this week's Wrestling Observer newsletter, Williams (a huge wrestling fan) has already (since the win over Tyson) approached WWE about participating in an angle with Randy Orton at the Manchester, U.K. Raw tv taping in October. Stemming from his defeat of Tyson, Williams has proposed some kind of 'legend killer' vs 'legend killer' angle. Apparently this isn't the first time Williams has approached WWE; he contacted them about involvement in 2002, but was turned down. No word yet on if any deal has been made, but it's quite possible there will be some sort of celebrity involvement in the UK tv tapings, if only to make the shows seem special and set them apart from the lame U.K.-only ppvs.
