I'm a Nintendo nut 4 life, and I must admit I'm behind on my rentals, but here we go: 1. The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker 2. Wrestlemania 19 3. Madden 2004, but only because I suck at Metroid Prime and I'm really not sure if it came out this year or last year.

During which Hogan will headbutt an Iraqi flag.

I read Cold Fall, which I can honestly say I like better than all of the Bond movies I've seen, with the possible exception of Goldfinger.

TV shows you like well enough to own on DVD
Masked Man of Mystery replied to Youth N Asia's topic in Television & Film
Being an anime fan with no cable acess, nor knowledge of Japanese besides the basics I pick up from hearing the language over and over again, I HAVE to buy my TV shows. Currently I have Street Fighter II V, Excel Saga, and Noir complete, and I have Gundam X, Azumanga Daioh, and CCS complete via fansubs. Can't do them regularly though, as my fansubs were all given to me by someone, 56k ain't great for fansubs, ya know. -
I think the owrst movie I've ever seen was Bruce Lee Fights Back From the Grave. I got it long before I knew of the Bruce clones.

Schools named after Confederates debated
Masked Man of Mystery replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Current Events
If memory of my US History AP class serves, the big issue was that people in the North generally wanted one of 3 things(in no particular order): 1. abolishment of slavery 2. the Missouri Compromise held 3. the state's choice However, the South screwed around with this, Bleeding Kansas et all, and then declared separation and attacked a US(ie non Confederate) base and the war started. When things started looking bad for the North as the Richmond offensives were failing, then Lincoln went to the abolish slavery to make the war seem more noble and, more importantly, get some peopel to replace the corpses that were piling up in the failed Richmond drives. Please correct me if I'm wrong though. -
We're all supposed to be dead by now

True to a point, however, I prefer the safe route myself -
Apparently GTA is worse than Child Molestation
Masked Man of Mystery replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Current Events
In all seriousness, parents should go and see what their kids are doing. If they really don't like it, then DO something about it. I work at a Best Buy, and there was a mother I was talking to who had the GTA set in her hand. I started talking to her about it, and describing what I knew of the series(I haven't played any of it except a demo I briefly had of GTA 2, but I know about some of the stuff in there) and I tod her that if her son wants it so bad, rent it, and watch him play it, and then SHE makes the call. I don't buy M rated games even though I'm old enough to because I don't want my little bro exosed to that and even some of the T stuff. Wrestling and fighting is about as bad as I go. Of course, I have a Gamecube, so I have plenty of options in the T and under range. -
This is actually the only ECW DVD I own. I just picked it up randomly, and I love it. Can anyone tell me why Douglas was up in the crowd with Francine rather than in the back?

With, of course, the main exception being Star Trek. But that was a differant time, and this is a "sports event", not a scripted show(supposedly, remember we must suspend our belief)

Someone should let Rudo in on this and let him run wild

The REAL Story On Kurt Angle's Neck
Masked Man of Mystery replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in The WWE Folder
I hope to God he knows what he's doing because I don't want us to have another Droz. He has his whole life ahead of him. I have nothing but respect for the man, but I think he's crossing the threshold between brave and crazy. -
Excuse me for double posting.

The female Rikidozan? I thought she was supposed to be the female Rey Mysterio Jr.?
-
My God, Kurt really wants to be a vegetable, doesn't he?

I've been raiding my local library recently for "Essential" collections. I've read the first volume for Daredevil, Spiderman, and 2 and 3 of Avengers. Maybe I'm just a superhero mark, but I really like a lot of what I see. I think that there is some good character devlopment going on, despite some really jarring stuff, like the constant insults directed at women("just a foolish female" and the like comes to mind). What do you guys think of early Marvel?
-
What if the WWF/E/I don't care anymore bought some time during either Saturday mornings or like early afternoons, like 12 Eastern ish, and took all the Cruiserweighst and put them on that show? Obviously, you can't have the kind of angles they've been running recently(ie Kane burning JR et all) but you have some simple storylines running, and let the cruisers run wild, and kids can watch, because you intentionally make sure this is kid friendly, and not only do the cruisers get to to do their thing, you now get a HUGE marketing thing going because kids will buy Rey Mysterios masks and action figures and Ultimo action figures(Rey may well be the most kid friendly person in the organization right now) and whatever and HH won't have a threat to to his belt because you'd have a cruiser singles and tag team belts and you could bring in all kinds of international talent and it won't matter if they can speak English because it won't be necessary and I think the majority of the hardcore wrestlign fans would tune in too. Heck, if it worked in the 80s why can't it work now?

The Video For all the wrestlers who died.
Masked Man of Mystery replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
I think sometimes we think these people are immortal. I mean, remember when half the people watching Over the Edge thought Owen's death was a work? We always think people will be around forever. I'm as guilty of this as anyone. -
The missuse of the cruisers in general the refusal to push Matt Hardy on a PPV in any kind of decent fashion the fact that Kurt Angle will never wrestle again on Smackdown the push of "Team Sasquatch" HHH's utter refusal to put anyone over this year

The Video For all the wrestlers who died.
Masked Man of Mystery replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
Thank you very much for putting this up. It may well have been the best thing the WWF/E has done all year. I got those DVDs at Walgreens, and when I see Crash Holly, I just can't believe he's dead. I never really saw much of the others, but my God, it's just incredible. I still can't see it. -

Is that woman on the right trying out for the Chyna Story(coming soon to a theater near you)? Good Lord! -
Well, as I understand it, a lot of Hawaiian people have Japanese blood in them and tend to look Japanese, so its a bit more plausable than say, the Chinese guy in the yakuza

Probabky because the Catholic Church, of which I am a member of, by the way, was largely developed in Europe and thus they made Him in ttheir image so that they could feed their superiority complex and well, Gibson is just continuing the tradition. I think I'd rather see Life Of Brian again rather than this, by the way.
