If you're a graphics type guy, this series sort of sucks, but gameplay, it's quite superb actually. Well actually another downside is they don't really seem to distinguish the difference between a finisher and a regular move. I guess it's more in line with Japan though where even an elbow strike finishes a guy as much as a burning hammer does. Nah, pretty graphics don't mean much to me. I've played some fun games that looked like a 12 year old designed it. As long as it's enjoyable and giving me a great wrestling game (haven't seen one of those in a long time) then I'm sure I'll enjoy it. Plus the 15 dollar tag just screams "low risk, high reward". The controls do worry me a little bit, how much of a timing problem we talking here? You just have to train yourself to hit the button when you see the two wrestlers hands touch eachothers shoulders in the lockup stance. It's really not that hard to get used to at all. Once you get the hang of it, as everyone else has said above me, you'll be pulling off moves left, right and center! That's it? Well heck, that doesn't sound too bad at all. I can deal with that. Plus really, I don't think I care too much if I lose matches. It would actually be a nice change of pace to have a game I lose a lot at.

You think the plastic surgeon is going to make it through?

It's always the quiet ones who end up being the creepy ones. Totally didn't see that ending coming, great twist. And now down to two spots on the team I guess so it's going to get really interesting.

OAO 11/05 Raw Thread...... no longer thinking about "Y2J"
2GOLD replied to Boxer's topic in The WWE Folder
I just kinda accepted that it was bizaro universe at the start. Oh and the Boogeyman with a lisp got me to laugh, so good for him. Wish the rest of the show had been enjoyable. -
Wait a minute...a shirt appears on the WWE shopzone website the same day as a Turkey. And November 19th is the RAW before Thanksgiving. The Gobbeldy Gooker is coming to save us!

15 bucks and about 300 plus wrestlers plus insane crazy matches with 500 more spaces to create? So what's the downside to this from the people who have been able to play the games in the past. Is there one?

I thought by now Nebraska would be looking to organize a public execution of Callahan. I really didn't see a way he'd keep his job the rest of this year.
-
I only remember Raiders vs Bucs because former Blue Hen Rich THE CANNON Gannon started. Course he looked like complete crap, hit the dirt more than the shoes he was wearing and was turned into the Bucs personally little bitch. But dammit, he..um.. did a good job... running out of the tunnel. The Raiders lost right?

150 million before advertising.

Yeah, that was god awful. I must have missed something about it that was funny. I'll give it another episode but damn, that was horrible.

I really hope so. There is already enough bs taking away from the game, last thing it needs is a stupid "THE COLTS PUMPED IN CROWD NOISE!" story. It sounds really close to one of the two things. It's either a mic feedback loop or it's a CD of crowd noise skipping. Hoping for the first.
-
I heard the sound skipping but thought it could be CBS. After watching the tape of the game, I realized the announcers didn't skip and the only thing that started skipping was the crowd noise. They probably aren't the first team to do it but they might be the first who are caught because the CD skipped. That's gotta suck but what exactly can be done to them? Is it even illegal? I hardly doubt the NFL would take away a draft pick for pumping in crowd noise. And if they did, that would be a new level of petty for the league. The other thing that confuses me is why they would even need to do it? The Colt fans seem like a lively loud bunch and with the dome enhancing noise as is so why even bother doing it?

You think Pittsburgh will beat them? Because none of the other games will be close. I really for some reason don't like that Eagles game or that Jets game. I just right now cannot believe a team going more than 14-0 in the modern NFL. I don't know why but I just cannot see it. I think the Patriots are very good offensively and defensively but that is still one hell of a push to make.
-
If the Patriots somehow remain undefeated to the Dolphins game, which I don't think they will, then the media is going to make a HUGE deal out of that one. It'll probably be the most coverage Miami has received all season and they went to England for a game.

22.9 million. It has had amazing staying power.

I was most impressed by the play of the linebackers on both sides to make some very nice interceptions. I didn't see the blown calls at all so I have no idea and I don't get what the hell stick was up Brady's ass at the end of the game. Nice win for New England but seriously, the refs crap needs to stop. Two outstanding teams just played an outstanding game full of great plays.
-
I'll chip in. Delaware gives up 400 plus yards rushing yards but still manages to beat James Madison 37-34. HUGE win for the Hens but giving up two 50 plus yard touchdown runs to two different guys does not make me happy or confident about their chances for the rest of the season. Still, this one might JUST be enough to get them into the playoffs I hope.

He never recovered from that year off during the whole Clarett debacle, his own damn fault but still. At one time I think he could have been a fine receiver had he just stayed in school and not followed Maurice but when he returned to football after a year off, he was horrible in every way possible. Guess once you leave the game from an offensive position, you can't just expect to come back and be great. Pity no one explained that to Mike.

I'm confused why they would be pissed when the angle has been receiving positive buzz and hype. Why would they be mad that something they thought up was actually working and getting fans who left excited? Just because it's not a surprise? That's the whole reason for being mad is people figured it out? I thought the whole point of vigs and things was to get people excited and ready for a big debut and return. It's obvious the pot was at full boil and it was in the PERFECT place for it to explode. So instead of just doing it when the timing was beyond perfect, they don't just because their feelings were hurt.

He directed "We are Marshall" and helped kill the "Charlie's Angels" movie franchise. The man has done great things. He has mild ability but this just sounds like a disaster. Course with the right actor, it could hold water.

No one. Without an advertising plan, a better understanding of how to book the wrestlers under contract and smarter decisions on who to keep employed and who to cut taps with then TNA will never rise above where they are. It takes forever but all the progress they were making a year or two ago has been flushed by poor decision after poor decision and a failure to get their name out there so people know they are an actual DIFFERENT company from the WWE. There is just one guy out there who's unsigned, healthy, and could probably turn this thing around all by himself. Problem is, Dwayne Johnson wants nothing to do with wrestling anymore. TNA makes so many bad calls right now that they could screw up a Rock return easily. TNA has the talent and the collective names to get them going up the mountain, they just don't seem to have anyone who can guide them or they are listening to the blind man who tells them the quickest way up is to jump off a cliff.

Who knows who else they'll cut. Gotta make room for the diva search girls again dammit.

Guess Extreme Expose is dead. I don't know, I don't watch ECW.

Elijah has about pissed himself as shadows, voices and weird lights are popping up all over in front of him. He's acting all freaked out again, it's awesome. ETA: HAHAHAHA ELIJAH JUST FREAKED OUT AND RAN! That was hilarious. He cannot even EXPLAIN why he just ran like a bitch. That was the greatest thing ever. He is TOTALLY freaked the fuck out now. That was quite possibly the greatest moment in the history of television. He said something touched his shoulder and he BOLTED. That was greatness. He ran so fast he dropped and left his cell phone. Awesome. They just showed the replay in slow motion, his expression of fear and "GET THE FUCK OUTTA MY WAY MOTHERFUCKAS!" is priceless. ETA2: He's stuttering and everything now but he's trying his hardest to get his bad ass look back and he is failing miserably. Man sees faces, sees weird lights, hears a woman giggles, insults the Diva search and now runs like a bitch cause something caressed his back. This is not a night Elijah Burke is going to be able to live down with anyone who saw it.
