Apparently not many of us since we are all talking like it's the end of the world and how much players are sucking just two weeks in. Not to mention the pointless discussion about the number of homeruns that are being hit. The only difference is most of us aren't thinking about division titles and playoff runs yet. Cept us Orioles fans cause we are well aware we won't be in it later. Might as well enjoy it now.

And if you listen to the commentary on "AIRPLANE" they basically tell you they took Zero Hour and spoofed it scene for scene cause they loved it. This is back when the Zuckers didn't go completely over the top and make horribly unfunny spoof movies.

I thought it was pretty good but not one of the greatest films of all time. Then again, the Academy hasn't really been picking great films for the last few years. But of the movies nominated this year? Yeah, I'd say it was the best of them but that wasn't saying a great deal.

Disco Dance off? And probably not but then near the end of his run I wasn't paying any attention to his posts so I really don't know if he did or didn't do anything ban worthy.
-
He's given up 8 runs in two innings of work...damn. He wasn't that bad with the Orioles. He usually just gave up three or four runs every eight innings.

When did ESPN start to suck? I have them on a steady decline when they were purchased by ABC/Disney. Before that, it seemed like they had good sports reporters who were actually talented. Now it just seems like they get the guys who couldn't make it on ABC NEWS. Hell, Sportscenter has become ABC News with all the stupid feature stories and the constant 'we must talk about this even though there is nothing to talk about' reporting.
-
Of course not because then people could change the channel and not have to suffer through 10 minutes of Sportscenter. I still change the channel until PTI returns. And PTI gets into a "eh" territory when it's not Wilbon and Tony. Then you have ATH which is unbearable when it's Plaschke and Marotti on and no Woody.

He did that a lot for the Cubs as well. The first two outs he could get without a problem, it was just that third guy who always seemed to ruin things.

Huh? Why isn't Good Friday an appropriate day to televise a baseball game? So what? They trying to say Jesus Christ doesn't like baseball? Eddie Harris disagrees with you Lou Kirchen!
-
Boogeyman is dedicated, you gotta at least give him that. Huh? Did I miss something? What problems does the WWE have with Mongo?

The fate of his other movie is probably hanging on how well Wonder Woman does. If he ever gets the thing into production. It's pretty sad when the best rumors of Wonder Woman have turned out to be April Fool's Jokes.

Phooey, Tom and Jerry and El KABONG will all be mine. Hell, that "Rock and Roll" Tom and Jerry might be the anniversary gift. You make think I'm crazed, but my girl loves rock and she loves T&J. She'll go nuts over that. -
Well that explains JA's comment on yesterday's ATH. I missed yesterday's edition, what did JA say?

I want to know how this turned into "Randy is getting fired" when it was originally the guy just got suspended. Orton isn't going anywhere, they have invested way too much into him to just dump him. I consider this more of a vacation than anything to get his head in order. Truthfully, I understand his frustration since the WWE seems to be a big fan of the phrase, "look at the big picture", which is annoying when you see they don't HAVE a big picture decided. He'll be back, motivated, looking to please and keep in check. This might end up being the best thing for him as a character and as a person.

As much as I hate to say it, I still see IMPACT! getting just a .8 rating for the night. Which sucks, because it was a very good addition with solid interviews and strong action filled matches. I really hope I'm wrong because TNA needs some ratings if they want to avoid that "stuck behind really BAD SpikeTV comedy" position.

And of course Tony Gonzalez as well. That jumping ability and ability to work between guys is just the perfect training.

Wait, they cancelled Classic Now from a station called ESPNCLASSIC??? That makes no sense, absolutely no sense. What? Does the Bonds show get to air on CLASSIC now because they are running out of airtime? Considering they don't even air classic games anymore on any sort of a regular basis (pool, bowling, and poker don't count) it shouldn't come as a surprise. I never watched Classic Now though as I couldn't stand the host in the ads so I never gave it a chance. I'm expecting ESPN Classic to just dissapear eventually as it's clear the network just doesn't care about it. That channel has been on the decline. And when they do show classic games it's always BOSTON VS YANKS or DUKE VS UNC or something like that. Not every game those two played is classic ESPN. If it wasn't for Cheap Seats, I wouldn't turn on Classic anymore. Next month I'm expecting CLASSIC BASSMASTERS to join the pool, poker, and bowling.

NC State should hire Dick Vitale. They need a coach who will recruit by telling kids how great Duke is and loves to call them a PTP no matter what they've done. Cause right now, I don't know who they think they are going to get. Seems like the fans are just naming every coach they can think of, tomorrow I expect a rumor to start that they are going to get Roy Williams with Coach K as an assistant. Or maybe Pitno. -
The fire is spreading - Mike & Mike on ESPN's morning radio talk show were apparently talking about an interview that they had with Hawk on that very subject. Apparently, home runs are up a whopping 11% from last year. Nevermind that there have been two "flukish" games with a team hitting six home runs already, one involving a pitcher experimenting with a knuckleball and another involving the Cubs on a windy day in Wrigley. Speaking of the Cubs... Dusty Baker Not Worried About Cubs' Hot Start It's a shock the Cubs are winning, what with Zambrano getting flustered by anything and half the rotation on the DL. And let's not mention Glendon Rusch. Losing to the Reds yesterday wasn't as bad considering the line-up the Cubs put out there. Anytime you have Blanco AND Perez in the line-up, scoring more than one run is a shocking turn of events. In Orioles news: Daniel Cabera looking outstanding with an ERA of 11.23 with 11 walks and 16 Ks in two starts in a amazing 6.1 innings pitched. I smell a Cy Young.

Well for one, they aren't called the Dudleys anymore. And I'm pretty sure it's a copyright issue if they say his name on television, advertising him as Spike Dudley to sell tickets or sell merch with the name. Mentioned he's the "former Spike Dudley" on a website may not fall under that, I'm not 100% sure on the law.
-
Yeah, I'll admit I was very wrong. It worked extremely well. Didn't hurt the pace of the show and everything came off pretty damn smooth. Plus the finisher Joe used was sweet as hell.
-
Eric Young really is like Mikey Whipwreck was in ECW. Purely awesome with decent ringwork. The guy has got to get a run in the X-Division somewhere down the line.
-
Foley needs to go away. Just go the hell away and never come back.

Well in other CAA news, Delaware hired Monte Ross as the new head coach. Ross, who was an assistant at St Joes replaces the recruiting black hole of suck David Henderson. Henderson was horrible, blowing the talent that was left and just turning Delaware into a completely worthless CAA team when the conference was rising. Hopefully Ross can get Delaware back to the Mike Brey days because it's not a bad area the school is located in. Philly is maybe 30 miles up the road, if it's that many and Baltimore isn't that far away either. We know the school can get some damn good recruits, they did it in the past and the conference got some good exposure thanks to Mason. I don't know how long he'll get but I think it's going to take a season or two to fix the damage done by Henderson. Former Duke assistant indeed. Meanwhile, Leonard Hamilton might be in a make or break season at FSU. He's obviously got the talent now, he's done an amazing job recruiting but he's GOT to get their heads into games late. Blowing a lead to Florida and Wake Forest cost them the NCAA tournament and exposed what has become an "EVERY FREAKING YEAR" flaw. And the year before that he had them into the Top 25 before they collapsed in on themselves. He's got to get them mentally prepared. I say he might be in one but no way on earth do I agree with it. He's a damn fine coach, an excellent recruiter and everything the school needs. He's just got to get more players in who are mentally tough.
