Jericho isn't signing with TNA, he's loyal to Vince. Hogan would refuse to job and demand the belt so he'd just kill it from the inside with his "I'm above you" attitude. Bret Hart brings nothing to the table anymore as great as Bret was. Lesnar still has legal troubles with the WWE and TNA needs to avoid him until he settles them. And Goldberg is very much like Hogan only he might decide to lose every once in awhile. If you want TNA to die, sure go ahead and make those deals. Good luck getting the door closed with those egos in the building.

I still like my Orton hits the RKO on a cardboard cutout. Or even better, a midget dressed like Eddie. Then he can have two midgets dressed as devils come out and beat him up. Maybe burn an Eddie shirt in the parking lot. Or find the caddy and set it on fire. Toss in the cardboard cutout! If they are going to do this, might as well go all the way and be stupid with it. -
I think the UK version is still a little better but this one is doing pretty well at maintaining and not destroying the whole use of THE OFFICE name. Like that god awful US version of Coupling. I don't know if this show would have been a damn without Carrell though. He makes it a real winner while the others add that zeisty splash of hilarity.

Yeah, and isn't amazing that Orton shitting on Eddie's grave is acceptable...but jobbing the Undertaker isn't? Taker is above dead people. Cause he's undead. Maybe if Eddie would get off his ass and be undead, maybe he'd win more matches. -
Neither is Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.

That's fairly obvious. Yeah but he says That implies more than one. I demand names! Bring on the gay OVW wrestlers!

I'm more curious who the gay man that Matt was getting on is. Sorry the guy got the tumor. Intolerance is stupid and all but I never wish a tumor on someone. If he's intolerant to gays, I want him to have a gay son who someday would have worked gay marriage into law. See, THAT is more of a punishment than a tumor. Tumor is bad and shouldn't happen. Cold ironic revenge would be so much better.

Goldberg would get hit with the pounce and just spin up and spear Monty. They would do nothing but destroy Brown and Joe since I highly, no make that extremely doubt Goldberg would want to come to TNA for the good of the company. Like I said, if Goldberg wants to come in and be a team player then great. But I'm not expecting him to come in, I don't see him being a team player and I won't be disappointed if he doesn't. Lots of positives but TONS of negatives.

It amuses Vince. That's the big picture. Also Yeah yeah, it's all talk. Every single one of them will sign new deals and bend over the table for it. -
Tirico/Sharpe/Kornheiser would be even better. That would have been a dream team. Sharpe is way underrated as a color man and Trico is a great play by play guy. I have no idea why Theisman is in there. None. Maybe so each week we can say, "SHUT UP JOE", and make us think Tony and Mike are even better?

EFA Not only that but thanks to her, he might get to release his shitty album. I'd say he's a smart motherfucker. I mean, he's not the one who was driving around with his baby in his lap.

Because maybe Foley doesn't think that sodas rule? But they should have to explain why Edge cares if Foley is the guest ref. Why should he? They were never really enemies. Because Edge is bad and Mick is good. Edge has great hair, Mick has horrible hair. Other than that, I have no clue why he should give a damn.

And I don't know if this was ever posted, but this is the report from the BBC news in 1993 about the bombing. Tell me if a certain quote doesn't JUMP the fuck out at you. Now, you can have your conspiracy theory. ETA: I made it jump out. And just in case, the link BBC on this day, 1993

The problem is the US government never took terrorism seriously. Not Carter, not Reagan, not Sr Bush, not Clinton and not even Bush Jr. I mean, we got struck when Clinton was in office (the Towers first hit) and nothing changed about our policies. We just kinda shrugged our shoulders. Bush Jr just happened to be the guy in office when the terrorist made us take them seriously. From 1993 to 2000, the United States was struck four times by terrorist attacks. 1993: The WTC car bomb 1996: Airmen dies in a Saudi bomb attack 1998: the US embassy bombed in South Africa 2000: The USS Cole is struck by terrorist And how did we respond? Nothing, we did nothing. Face it, our government and the citizens of this country always turned a blind eye and constantly said, "oh we'll never get hit like that", and always refused to take it serious. It was always a "it's not our problem". People acting like what happened in 2001 was new and terrorism never involved us. No, it has always involed us and most of the country just couldn't be bothered. You can only hold your hands over your eyes in front of someone for so long before they forcibly pull them and make you look.

Umm, why? He'll want to go on some undefeated streak and get the World Title right out of the gate. If he wasn't so damn stiff and actually didn't mind putting people over, I wouldn't be against it. Yes he's a name, but the only way his salary would justify his ego is if he was working for free.
-
He'll be snoring by halftime.

I personally gave them all a chance, even the ones that defy logic for the first couple of months. Now it's just the same drivel over and over again. Most of the stuff has been shot to hell and back but the conspiracy whack jobs just keep jumping up and down repeating the same bs. And I don't think it would have mattered who was in charge. Most of the ones who keep making the theories are the ones who could find a conspiracy in how quickly their Frosted Flakes soaked up their milk. To them, government is government and it's never to be trusted. At least they are unbiased in that sense.

Looks like Spike have found themselves a very workable combo. THAT is exactly what I want to hear. Winning over UFC fans with pro wrestling I'd imagine is god damn difficult. I'm not distressed by this news at all.

I never take the ratings into account from January up to Wrestlemania. After Mania is when I look at what the show is doing. People are going to tune in for the push to Mania to see if they should spend 50 bucks on it.
-
That was a very good episode but it lost some of it's special quality being a month behind what happened. Didn't really see him being the one to call it off but it's not shocking at all. The next new one looks even better
-
Tenay called it a mix of Adonis and Ventura and I agree. And I also agree with him that it's a weird combination I thought I'd never see. Rarely do you see an old tag team mixed together into one man.

Simon needed two hours to insult people while Paula Adbol tries desperately to prove she knows anything about talent other than how big the dick going into her is. House should have been on. There was no excuse for House being the only heavy hitter not getting on the air. We've seen what? Like three new HOUSE episodes since the World Series?
-
Bout fucking time. One of the best shows on television not getting seen cause American Idol needed time for Simon to be his boring asshole self.
-
Funny, I did just fine.

Will WWE ever be as great as they were in 2000?
2GOLD replied to AmazingRen's topic in The WWE Folder
It all depends on how they handle the problems they currently have. The writing and angles continue to be lackluster, the talent roster is getting very thin, the gimmicks are going backwards into the silly instead sticking with what made them huge again, and it seems they still have problems between management and workers. It just feels like "The Power is back" was just another way of saying "Welcome back late 80s WWF!" Austin and Rock both excelled because the writers recognized what the audience was doing and realized they couldn't script for guys like Austin and Rock. Losing the unscripted element has hurt the company more than anything. I mean, could you imagine Austin and Rock having to read scripted promos and how lame they would have sounded? Austin would have been made into Trevor Murdoch, because gay rednecks are funny. Hell Cena came to RAW and his edgy persona went up in smoke in favor of gay jokes and corny ass catch phrases instead of bringing him over as his fucking unscripted hard rap promo Smackdown character. It's possible but I don't see it happening for awhile.
