I don't really dislike the Seahawks. It's just that, historically, Seattle has been a very mediocre "just there" team. They're not a legendary team like GB or the Cowboys, nor are they a laughable team like the Cardinals or Lions. You look through their past records and you see a lot of 9-7, 7-9 and 8-8 seasons. As for the last year, cabbageboy said it best. They were a few close games away from being a 10-6 team (Giants, Titans and one of the 49er games) and their two previous postseasons ("We want the ball!" and collapsing at home against St Louis) gave me little reason to believe they would do anything last year either.

As for Prince, I haven't seen anything to swing me either way from my initial opinion (see below)... though had they lost to Illinois State there's no doubt to the sourness that would spread across the state. To be honest though, I can't say my initial opinion of him was very strong, considering he was an o-line coach for an at-best average football program, and he came across as a "you'll do" hire after all the other guys they wanted didn't take
