Also, not really about clichés, but in the past week on VH1 Classics I've seen the videos for "All I Wanna Do", "Creep" and "Waterfalls" and it's made me feel rather fogey-ish

Def Leppard - "Rock of Ages" My own personal favorite (as in not-favorite) cliché was during the height of the boy group craze when it seemed every video would feature a shot of the group's members walking in slow motion towards the camera.

Funny enough, the other day on syndicated "King of the Hill" they had the episode where Connie's thug cousin from LA comes to town and suckers Bobby into cooking meth for his school science project.

That's been their story for most of the 00's. They'll surge out to an early lead in the NL Central with their hot bats, then their bad pitching catches up with them and they fall into the basement ...but at least they're not the Pirates
