Aaron Rowand just gave the Cards 2 runs by playing his post-broken face terrible defense.

With the army of leeches running the organization, a mini-fire sale was gonna take place. I'm personally happy, that, since it had to happen, that it was the likes of Lidle, Bell, and Abreu, who's best years are behind them (again, IMO), then the young core future who got shipped away. Not that there was any real worry for them. _______ Yes, it pisses me off greatly that a large market like Philadelphia has such terrible owners and a "yes man" GM that's just as shitty as Wade. But I still root for the team because I BELIEVE, haha. Could be 3.5 out in a few hrs. Honestly, it doesn't matter. I've been to so many Phils game this year that I'm embarassed. The fans suck and make no noise, the pitching is dreadful, and they can never sustain the smallest bit of momentum. But as long as I can watch the TV and no longer need to say "Ugh, David Bell is up..." or "Damn, I hate Abreu", etc., I feel happier watching the team. My point is that I like the team even more now and hope they can pull off a miracle. But I won't be attending games in that horridly quiet and empty stadium until they get their act in gear and get over .500 at least.

A bit late, but break out the balloons because Sloppy Abreu has been traded I'm digging this Phillies team now, and I'm glad they got rid if who they did. While the Phillies owners could care less about the futures (they purposely told Gillick to cut the payroll big-time to boost their gross for the season), I'm glad that a couple of players are gone that I either dislike (Lidle) or outright hate (Abreu). Sad to see Cormier go, but he's been iffy in some clutch spots this year. TRADING HIM TO THE REDS? Ugh. Stupid and shows that Gillick is not trying to win the WC this year. Anyway, I hope Utley keeps it up, Howard's been on a roll, J-Roll is waking up and Myers has been looking sharp. GO PHILS! The garbage on the team (Charlie Manuel, Mike Lieberthal, Arthur Rhodes, hell the entire bullpen), IMO, is outweighed now by the good. It's a shame that the players are trying to win but the GM doesn't seem to care, and is now beginning some "3 year plan" to try to get them near the playoffs, when they were a game out this year. With the NL being the weakest it's been in over a decade, however, I think stranger things can happen. I hope they make it.

I would have ranked them on the "better" list until footage of them chillaxin' in a sauna together aired at Havoc '00. -

"The first 40 minutes felt something like ECW of old" Yes, because lumbering roided up shitty workers like Knox and Test were always put over characters who ECW fans have emotional attachment with in the first 40 minutes of ECW TV. And Paul Heyman was an evil authority figure. And they had Vampires. Come on, dude. This show has and still blows. -

Punk's debut is going to suck, just like Vampire's was hurt, from the dead crowd, lack of competitive match, and shitty 4 minute window given. -

I'd buy the next 3 WWE PPVs if Guido shows up to Ariel's Tarot Card Shop next month and gives The Vampire a pizza, secretly covered in garlic, and then attacks him. -

No, Marc Mero's "TKO" started out with him swinging the opponent around and hitting the Diamond Cutter. It just gradually got lazier. Test brings out the massive swing and "ARRRRGHHHHH!" yell to add more effect. -

Why do you keep comparing Test's finisher to the F-5? It's Mero's "TKO", except Test has the strength to hit it correctly and effectively. -
Best underrated tag teams of the 80's/90's

WCW (That's 1990 to 2001) tag teams better than "Pretty Wonderful" (note: List will be updated through the night) 1. Doom 2. Rick & Scott Steiner 3. Jushin Liger & Brian Pillman 4. Dustin Rhodes & Barry Windham 5. Dustin Rhodes & Ricky Steamboat 6. Larry Zbyszko & Arn Anderson 7. Arn Anderson & Bobby Eaton 8. Bobby Eaton & Stan Lane 9. Ricky Morton & Thomas Rich ('90 face run) 10. Ricky Steamboat & Shane Douglas 11. Tom Zenk & Brian Pillman 12. Steve Williams & Terry Gordy 13. Booker T. & Stevie Ray 14. Cactus Jack & Kevin Sullivan 15. Cactus Jack & Maxx Payne 16. The Samoan Swat Team 17. The Road Warriors (the 1990 version, I'll give Pretty Wonderful the nod over the shitty post '95 version) 18. 2 Cold Scorpio & Marcus Alexander Bagwell 19. Arn Anderson & Barry Windham ('90-'91) 20. Tracy Smothers & Steve Armstrong 21. Steve Austin & Brian Pillman 22. Greg Valentine & The Taylor-Made-Man 23. Lord Steven Regal & The Earl of Eaton 24. Arn Anderson & Paul Roma (you're comparing ON FIRE Anderson to shits Orndorff, basically) 25. The Patriot & Marcus Alexander Bagwell 26. Mortis & Wrath 27. Meng & The Barbarian 28. Sting & Lex Luger (1991 team was incredible, 1995-96 team was exciting, as well) 29. Scott Hall & Kevin Nash 30. The Giant & Lex Luger (remember, at this time Giant was thinner, hitting top-rope missle dropkicks, and WORKING) 31. Chris Benoit & Dean Malenko 32. Barry Windham & Curt Hennig (and this team, IMO, sucked) 33. Rey Mysterio, Jr. & Billy Kidman 34. El Dandy & Silver King 35. Rey Mysterio, Jr. & Konan 36. Raven & Kanyon 37. Raven & Perry Saturn 38. Perry Saturn & Chris Benoit 39. Dallas Page & Kanyon 40. Bret Hart & Bill Goldberg 41. Big Vito & Johnny the Bull 42. Juventud Guerrera & Rey Mysterio, Jr. 43. Disco Inferno (Disqo) & Alex Wright 44. The Insane Clown Posse (BEFORE YOUR BITCH ABOUT THIS, check out their seriously good ringwork against Rey, Kidman and Eddie through the summer of 1999, including two very good six-mans with Vampiro on their side. They worked enough bouts to be considered, IMO, although this may be a stretch. They were carried? SURE. But at least they were in exciting bouts, unlike Pretty Terrible.) 45. Chavo Guerrero, Jr. (Lt. Loco) and Lash LeRoux (Crpl. Cajun) 46. The Rock 'N Roll Express (1990 version) 47. Tim Horner & Brad Armstrong 48. Big Van Vader & Mr. Hughes (who were both gods of bumping for Rick & Scotty as a mid-card tag team in 91-early 92) 49. Rick Rude & Steve Austin (singles champions with impressive Clash/GAB NWA tag title tourney run, late 91 to spring 92 house show teams, and NJPW team in late 92) 50. Kid Romeo & Elix Skipper 51. A.J. Styles & Air Paris 52. Lane & Rave 53. Hiroshi Hase & Kensuki Sasaki ('91) 54. Chris Benoit & Beef Wellington 55. Silver King & Dr. Wagner, Jr. (as "The Silver Kings") 56. Sting & Davey Boy Smith 57. Hiroshi Hase & Masahiro Chono ('91) 58. Arn Anderson & Brian Pillman ('95) 59. Arn Anderson & Ric Flair ('96) 60. Lance Storm & Mike Awesome ('00-01) 61. Shane Helms & Shannon Moore 62. Yang & Kaz Hayashi 63. Dean Malenko & Perry Saturn ('99) 64. Scott Hall & Syxx 65. Jacuqes Rougeau & Pierre Ouelette 66. Sting & Vampiro Teams "Pretty Wonderful" were better than: 1. Michael Hayes & Jimmy Garvin 2. Brian Knobbs & Jerry Sags (though the Nastys had a few winners in garbage brawls) 3. Bunkhouse Buck & Dick Slater 4. The Public Enemy 5. The American Males 6. Barry & Kendall Windham 7. Harris Brothers 8. Douglas & Bagwell 9. The Patriots 10. Kronik 11. The Master Blasters 12. The Wrecking Crew (1993) 13. Thunder & Lightning (1994) 14. Harlem Heat 2000 15. Bagwell & Total Package (Totally Buff) 16. The Cole Twins 17. Shawn Stasiak & Chuck Palumbo 18. Vampiro & The Great Muta 19. Tex Slazenger & Shanghai Pierce 20. The Awesome Kongs 21. Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker & Lt. James Earl Wright 22. The Renegade Warriors 23. Erik Watts & Kensuke Sasaki Unsure: 1. Vegas Connection - Shitty/OK Page & Not Very Good Vegas (Nash) 2. Scott Norton & Ice Train. 3. O'Haire & Palumbo
