Well, yeah, I was kinda talking about the first half of 2006. I've wanted to see "Sunshine" ever since I knew Carell was attached and of course it's gotten amazing reviews. The Borat movie could be hilarious as well. So the latter half of the year could be better.

Nice. I stopped reading early as well but it's cool to know it was on the level of other Michael Mann films. I wouldn't doubt that this is the best movie of 2006 thus far. It's been even shittier than 2005, unless the boring trailers have been deceiving me. MI:3 was a'ight, though.

Fuck yeah. That's a doozy of a match; no wonder it was last to be added. I'm glad that Super Dragon made it in. My tournament predictions- Sabin over Cabana Generico over Delirious CIMA over M-Dogg Steen over Sydal Dragon Kid over Quicksilver Strong over Romero Richards over Perkins Aries over Disco Castagnoli over Evans Hero over Horiguchi Super Dragon over Necro Butcher Scorpio Sky over Kazarian Generico over Cabana Steen over CIMA Strong over Dragon Kid Richards over Aries Castagnoli over Hero Scorpio over Dragon Steen over Generico Richards over Strong Scorpio over Castagnoli Sky over Richards, Steen to win the tournament. -
That was so awesome.

http://www.wwe.com/inside/news/lawlersuperman I remember when it was "I absolutely love Christmas. I have a room dedicated entirely to Christmas," and "I absolutely love Coca-Cola. I have a room dedicated to Coca-Cola," and of course "I love me some titty." He's gotta be running out of space at home.

Typically the best wrestling t-shirts are ones that hardly give the impression that you are a wrestling fan. Thus they can be worn in public. They're kinda hard to come across, but I've seen a few in my day. The two wrestler shirts that PWG sells are absolutely bad ass, especially Excalibur's. PWG pretty much destroy everybody at graphic design though. Also, Claudio Castagnoli and Nigel McGuinness' shirts are pretty cool. WWE can't put together a shirt to save their lives. Actually, the brown Eddie Guerrero tribute shirt is nice, minus the ugly logo on the back. Edge's new shirt looks like it's covered in bird shit or jizz or something, but the "Sex and Violence" part is pretty rockin'. I would never, ever wear it as it is now though. What do you think?

1000 Reasons why Late Night with Conan O'Brien
The Mandarin replied to The Mandarin's topic in Television & Film
264. Dick Cheney as fog mist. 265. Darrell Hammond in the rafters was hilarious. I can't see how Colbert compares to Conan. Conan doesn't look like he's reading every word off a teleprompter/cue cards. Only some. -
No John Krasinski? Fucking idiots.

Pro Wrestling Guerrilla Comments That Don't Warrant A Thread

Yeah. Speaking of which, what are the best World and Tag title matches? Anybody? -
RVD's beatboxing.

"All of them? Oof-ah!" That was hilarious. I laughed at most of the segment. Kinda died when Shawn started talking, although Triple H's interjections were funny (calling him mildly retarded). Good stuff.

I've never cried at a movie (as far as I can remember) but One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest got me choked up at different parts, all involving Chief. The ending to Heat doesn't make me cry but it leaves me a bit emotionally drained. I agree with the sentiments that the end of Shawshank Redemption is really moving. 21 Grams is amazingly sad in parts too, especially when Naomi Watts has the conversation with her father at the funeral.

Wait, from what I gather Masters and Mercury have been suspended for drug violations? I haven't been watching much recently (or tonight, for that matter) so I'm kinda out of the loop. Has anyone else been affected by the drug policy?

Considering GAB 1990 and 1996 were pretty damn good and shows I'd like to watch again and GAB 2005 was fucking awful, boring, horribly-booked shit featuring bad performances from the majority of the wrestlers who appeared that amounted to a PPV that should be considered an unethical method of torture to those who watched it; I'd say that the above poll is a travesty. Why do I pay for that shit? Oh yeah, Heatwave 1998. That was pretty awesome, albeit a bit butchered.

I think the idea for Mahoney/Tanaka is that Tanaka has taken so many chair shots in his life that his brain finally ceased function, allowing Balls to make the cover. I don't think they showed him getting up after the match so we're left to assume he died in hospital. ECW! ECW!

Apparently RVD's win is a total fraud and apparently the WWE doesn't want to even suggest that Cena's not regaining the strap. I think he's suggesting that we all shouldn't watch. Unless you like that sort of stuff. But then again that's why they have the web shows available. ----- Does anyone actually believe that they WON'T pipe in canned heat for the ECW shows? And I don't know why anyone thought Super Crazy appeared sluggish tonight. If anything, he did slightly better than he normally would do while I was watching SmackDown. I really enjoyed that tag match; I thought it flowed much better than last year's triple threat mess. Although the finish was kinda flat. I still can't believe Sabu executed half of that crazy shit tonight. My God, the springboard DDT was nastier than the flaming spear (or whatever) at WrestleMania and if anything deserves a double-KO finish it's that spot. Actually, it would have been much better if Sabu had have finished the match, won the title and ended Mysterio's "apparently" (TM WWE) god-awful reign as champion, but whatever. Rey's hurting, so giving the strap to a frequently-injured-but-not-right-now entertaining spot machine would be a slight step up. Or I would have been comfortable with him tossing that devalued title to the mat and accepting the ECW belt, but y'know. Probably my personal MOTN. No Fonzie? Angle vs. Orton was unexciting with some cool spots building up to a predictable finish. Nothing that makes me want to watch SmackDown (Benoit and Finlay can't even do that). At least the crowd was hot for Angle. They're lucky that the crowd didn't come to their senses and shit all over this SmackDown advertisement. JBL's speech was kinda shitty. He didn't throw out any zingers. Oh well, it was short. I enjoyed the 6-man tag. It had some cool stuff; such as Flannel Foley on Fire. I'm sure they're all happy with it, as by WWE standards it was "insane in the membrane" or whatever. That really quick spear + vaginal sex combo was a perfectly acceptable finish. I won't pay $40 to watch a WWE PPV ever, ever, ever again (unless it features fucking Sabu wrestling a cheetah wrapped in barbed wire or is called "WrestleMania") but I'm not regretting tonight's purchase.

Foley getting mauled by the fire extinguishers was unexpected and hilarious. And to add to what Rudo said, I was pissed with some of the camera cuts tonight. It's like they want to hide the highly concealed secret that wrestling is fake by not showing any impact whatsoever either through cutting to bad shots or being too close to get a good luck. I also must reiterate that live WWE PPVs look atrocious and extremely pixelated on my TV. I can't see why it would be just me. I have sympathy for those with wide-screen TVs and whatnot, it must look like absolute shit on yours. And I want to destroy whoever thought it would be a good idea to do pyro (I think for Orton's entrance) tonight, it made the poor vision even worse. I would say that right now, ROH comes across 110 times better on the screen.

I liked everything except the finish to the main event (I was cool with the match itself), Balls vs. Masato (disappointing-- one chair shot?), the lack of promos and interviews on the PPV so they could do butchered entrances and shitty WWE-esque video packages and the terrible Eugene segment where he really should have turned. That sounds like a lot of complaints, but I was happy with the majority of the PPV. Meltzer said that the 6-person tag was shit but it was executed much better than a lot of ECW's garbage brawls. Sabu really impressed tonight; I thought that guy was supposed to be near death.

Alright, here's my effort- The "Musical Chairs" segment from two years ago was a hilarious, whimsical, brilliant segment and among the most memorable comedy bits from Raw. Here's why- *The crowd was molten hot for this. Seriously, there hasn't been this sort of a crowd reaction to any free TV segment since the Evolution breakup. *Tajiri not understanding the rules is acceptable, as is Coach's cockiness. They also had a feud going on at this point so it made even more sense. The Coach's selling of the green mist (which was pretty much dead on) was awesome. *Jerry Lawler's pursuit of Stacy Keibler was great and in the end it is still evident that he's a huge pervert, which is what they're aiming for. *Ric Flair doing the strut towards Stacy's ass was hilarious and the further dancing that folllowed was absolutely priceless. Then the push. Oh God, when he pushed her over and sat there like nothing had happened, that was absolutely perfect television. Notice he gets HUGE heat for that. Stacy broke character by laughing but who cares; it's great to see that once in a while. *Flair's freaking out was superb. His elimination was great-- it was the bad guy getting his comeuppance. *The crowd was solidly behind Jericho. The reaction to his involvement here cannot be understated. Outsmarting Tomko (they had just been feuding at the time as well) and then pulverizing him with the chair before confidently sitting down was great and got him even more support for his title match later in the night. Amazingly I think it was also the blowoff to the feud but it didn't disappoint. It was just cute, harmless stuff. Everything came together for this bit.

The episode of FUJI VICE on WWE 24/7 currently is better than any segment WWE has produced in order to get a laugh in the last 5 years. It was absolutely hysterical and, along with ECW Heatwave 98 (holy shit-- Credible/Lynn was pretty freakin' good) makes this month totally worth watching.

I love the TSN guy's reaction to Vince's ass.
